Wellll my intern got good news today, he isn't fired.... yet. The guy who wants to sue is considering alternate action because of some sitting and talking with my intern who basically groveled, begged, pleaded, and apologized for six straight hours.

Mythic229 Dizzy: no obviously not you... stupid ignorant and all around unintelligent people on my work don't know the things they should... basically I got called about 15 minutes ago that I would have to come in, since they didn't have anyone on staff that could fill or write C-II drugs, which is no problem, Ive been needing a few extra hours, its not that big a deal. Well about 5 minutes ago I got the call from the head of 2-North (my floor) that since I was the most senior person available I would have to come up and fill out the legal advisory form since one of my dumbass interns thought that he was important and trained enough with his 2 years of college and 1 year of OTJT to write an Alfentanil prescription... so when the guy that was allergic to Opiates got his pain meds he had a bad reaction and started seizing... and now he wants to sue. Metal: ^^^^ this is what happened Yuri: Why would you think that? My intern just looks really pitiful when hes groveling...

Its a pharmacy intern, the doctor who was working on the patient dropped his status off at the pharmacy while I was at home and asked for any C-II pain killer to be prescribed, and yeah this intern is both stupid and ignorant. He isn't certified to even write prescriptions, AND he didn't check for allergies and just assumed to use an Opiate.

Metal: I agree, Texas law doesn't, we are a no fault state thus if anything happens it goes to the highest possible entity in question... The Hospital.

Myth- yeah, if something is a single person's fault then its his/her fault. if its a group's fault, then its their fault together. laws can suck at times like that, but can be nice. the idiot who screwed up should be docked a good times worth of pay.
