This place just isn't very fun when there is no one there to make comments about the stupid things that I type, ehh....what can I say I am addicted to attention, especially when it comes from the gorgeous ladies whic visit this thread every so often.
"I really am starting to think that you need a girlfriend like some people need water and sleep"
Yeah, ain't that the truth, but do you remember what happened the last time that we out with a girl?
*Shudders* You really have to remind me, that was the most emberassing moment of our lives, jeez, nothing makes one feel great like a pity date"
You're preaching to the choir Jack
"Yeah I know Johnny, but she come around sooner or later, we are only twenty-one we got at least a few years before we succumb to male pattern baldness and die a lonely death"
Yeah, great way to cheer me up asswipe
"I try, Johnny I try"

*Reads Mr Weidrich's entry and applauds*
That was great bro, truly a master of the art I must say I am humbled by your mastery of the old Aztec Poems, not even I could boast such knowledge, reall like the tid bit of the whole Aztec rain god, thing but eh......Elias Murieta was also this god, the living incarnation of the real thing. He was strippped of that power by death, but was resureted, in part with the blood of the ancient snake which is said to carry the secrets of ever lasting life. Now he carries a very large obsidian sword crafted be the hands of the Aztec god of Obsidian, whose name at the moments escapes, he also weilds and Ozamantli, which is a variton of the Nauhtl for jaguar, I thin, you would know more about this then I would, but it is the demon sanke that now is bound to his chest, let just say that I took some artistic liberties with the Aztec belief system, to serve my own purposes.

Yes, I took a few liberties myself...though I guess that has to be done in some situations. biggrin But thank you. It's nice to find somebody who understands and appreciates that sort of stuff. I was right to join this guild (BTW- as to how I found this guild: I did a keyword search for "Aztecs", hoping to find an ancient-ish guild. This was the (only) guild that I found).
As to whether I know more than you, I wouldn't be so quick to say it. I have much knowledge supplied to me by books, but I have never actually met any of these people, as you may have.

I do have a quick queston for you, though, I have always been of the understand that the Mexica, were a tribe which came from the northern part of Mexico whereas the Toltec Empire was primarlly based in the Yucatan Penninsula. The Mexica were led by that infamous prohepcy that they would create a new powerful nation, when they say a mighty Mexican Eagle atop a nopal plant devouring a snake. And so built there capital in present day Mexico city which happens to be next to a much older city of Teotihuacan, or the "City of thr Gods", And I have never meant any people that still adhere to that old system of beliefs, the popular belief in Mexico is that although the history was a great and powerful one, most still enjoy to boast about there European heritage, and not there indegenious one, still in Mexico, indivuals born, tall and lighter skinned like myself are favored over those that resemble more of the indeginous people, it is a pity that the languages which once made Mexico great are being destroyed by the rascims of the very Mexican people, and one more thing, are you of Mexican decent? Or of European, because you are the first non-mexican that I have meant that has so egulfed himself in the studies of our history. I have a jaded view of "gringos", since I have felt the stinge of racism living here in Los Angeles, it is amazing what people will tell you when they don't think that you understand English.

Okay once again, it is almost one in the morning and I can't seem to b able to fall asleep, think it is safe to say that all these sleepless nights are going to make get old before my time. Once again my parents were right, how well the advice of those two resonantes in my ears when I fall flat on my face.
Seeing as I have sometime to kill, and that it is obvious that no one is going to bother me for a few minutes I'm off to make a little post, hopefully the manor will be standing when I'm done xp
Just kidding Aura, just going to kill sometime, for the sadman to come and sprinkle some sand in my eyes. That would explain why I seem to be going blind, though, anyway away to the post I go. Don't nobody try and stop me........*Stands around like a doofues waiting for someone to stop him, but there is no else there* Hey, a guy can dream can't he?

*Going into history mode*Let me first make a commet you would prefer to have the blood of another than that of your own? pretty strange, but like you wre saying, yes, the commonalites between the Aztec and the much older Toltec is obvious, there calenday system is nearly identical. The Aztec architectiure(SP?) is based on the one that they say in Teotihuacan, which I believe was Toltec, but I am not so sure. Here is another question for you, what first got you interest in Native American culture specifically the three major ancient empires of Aztecs, Toltecs and Mayans. I mean you had a big country, there is the Anazasi in Arizona, the Apacche and other native American which also have a very gorgeous history much of which is tied in to the history of Indeginous Mexican people. Like for example the Taramaura, which is where my mother's side of the family comes from, used to have holy ritual sites in Tezas, the vast majority of which have now been destroyed? So why those three in particualr I am curious to know?

On the question of ancestry: Scott: After being caught, 92.5% of the family was exicuted while the other three ran to Canada. (pirates/thieves/bad people)
Irish: Potato blight forced them to move to America
German: Left Germany, Bovaria I believe, to avoid serving in the protestant army.
(Other?): Grandfather adopted into an Irish family, I believe he was from Norway/Finland.

Ohh.....ohhhh,,,my turn, and let me just say Az, truly a great heritage one to be proud of.
Mother's side of the family is from a small farm near Aguas Caliente, Chihuhua. They decendant both from a mixture of both the indegenious tribe there known as the Taramarua and Spanish blood, where the mixture took place has been up to speculation. She moved to Tijuana at the age of fourteen, where she eventually meet my father while working in a Panaderia or a bread store.
My Parental granfather is half Spanish, but he never met his father, as the sotry goes my greatgrandmother was terrified, that is her then boss learned she had sired one of his children, he would be taken away to Spain, and so she ran back to the village of her birth in Jalisco. My dad was born in Tijuana Mexico, the infamous city on th border with San Diego, but my father was born years before the city became infamous for a safeheaven of eighteen year-old Americans who wanted to get piss drunk as is know the case. My father was migrated to United States while he was in Juniour high, or the Mexican equivalent of such. He lived in Santa Monica California, and graduated from Santa Monica high school, met my mother in Tijuana which he frequently visited, eventually they were marrried and the rest was history.
