On Gene Simmons Family Jewels it showed the Army deploying. You got to see them say bye to their family, get on the plane, and actually be sent to Iraq.
Watching strangers go made me cry. If I ever get a crush on another military guy, I swear I'm running the other way.

I almost feel bad that I'm so happy to get a job interview after I've just started working at my new job. But it's horrible hours and crappy pay. And well my friends wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole.
Not to mention this is the FOURTH time I've applied to work in this place and I've FINALLY gotten an interview! heart

I've passed high school without any problems it seems, and I'm only taking 3 classes next semester, one of them being art. I'm finally working on a damned steampunk costume in time for ComiCon, even if I'm mildly worried it's mostly a closet cosplay. Anime Expo was pretty decently fun despite getting sick halfway through, and I got to talk to a friend I hardly ever talk to. I'm kind of apathetic at the moment but life is surprisingly not s**t right now and I'm still kind of still letting the shock wear off, heh. @A@ Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself saying that.
Also, I've watched more anime while having some sort of flu for the past week than I've watched anime in the past 3 years as co-pres of an anime club. Kind of sad. XD But I can actually pay attention now. And I finally got my sister to watch it (after AX, but hell), so yay!
I wish I'd taken pictures of those Durarara! cosplayers now though. ;A;'

So uh, how many guys, exactly, watch something like Wives and Daughters of their own free will? And seriously, why is the inner romantic in me that I worked so hard to squash down starting to get loud again?
Oh, wait, I know the why. But seriously. I'm practically a guy, the romantic stuff is like... my guilty pleasure. And now I can be open about it without eyerolling or being laughed at. And it's a good thing, but also sorta weird.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a date with the Bronte sisters.

So, I have a story that somewhat cheered me up... Warning: It involves harm inflicted upon cats. D: So one of my online friends in NYC was telling me about a group of 20-something-year-old guys in his neighborhood who were going around and torturing stray cats, when he heard a cat wailing outside...
He followed the wails, and found about six of those guys in an alley who had cornered a cat and were whipping it with a bicycle chain.
Not even a full-grown cat, either.
So he came up and beat the ever-loving CRAP out of them and rescued the kitty. :'D Two of them got away and came back with about twenty bigger guys, though, so he had to retreat. He called his brother, who took the cat to a local vet, where it was confirmed that the cat would be just fine.
Either way, I'm pretty sure those asshats won't think of hurting any cats for a long while, but they're pretty pissed at my friend now. XD All of those guys apparently belonged to an Asian gang, so it's kind of a big deal.Toxic_Trumpeter I can't stand this world.
