"No..." The figure said as it leaned against a support beam. "I no longer have a name, Ziven." Its voice seemed to be distant, perhaps even a little sad.

With a small pop, she was in the rafters. Tilting her head, she tried to analyze him as she took a few steps closer to him now that they were on the same beam. "What do you mean? Please explain."

"The name Kain was not mine to have." It said dropping its head a little bit. "When Reeve cut me off from his mind and spirit, I no longer had a right to that name."

"WHAT?" she stared at Kain for a moment. Turning away from him, she walked across the rafter to the next nearest support beam. Gently she leaned her head against it, grasping the sides with her hands. "I do not understand."

The figure was silent for a moment. "He wishes to break, I think. He heard of your speakings with Yawgmoth, your anger. He supresses what is inside of him... but I don't think thats what he wants anymore." The figure's cloak swayed a bit. "He wishes to be truely alone, so he cuts off the ones who are close to him. Rayne and Gage probably felt it to... this separation."

Standing on her own again, she turned to Kain. She was smiling, which would seem rather odd to anyone but this was a defense of hers. "I see. Well .. he knows how to find me if he ever cares to."
With a heavy sigh, she lowered herself, sitting on the rafter. She patted the wood next to her, inviting Kain to sit next to her if he wanted to. "What will you do now?"

The figure tilted its head as it saw her. "Perhaps he was right..." It watched her silently. "Now I will give you this warning, then go do what I was made to do. Rayne, now that she is separated, will probably defend you with all that she is. Reeve saw in her heart that she was kind, and carried much of her burden so that she would not have to." Slowly it seemed to change, it felt the changes and hid itself more within its cloak. "Gage, however, will kill you. He may not be as powerful as Reeve, but he likes to kill... just about everything. This man helped Reeve through one of his toughest times, but the thought of losing Reeve angered him greatly. You will probably die from his hand, if you are not carfull." It tilted its head down, hiding its face even more.

"Why would they give a damn about me at this point? Reeve does not want me, I have been discarded justas you have." she said quietly. Her words hung in the air for a moment as she let the reality of what she just said sink in to her own mind.
"My heart is broken again. Fate certainly will not allow me to forget that it intends for me to be alone. How foolish I have been to think I could escape it." Pausing for a moment, her clothes and hair changed to her usual look. Taking a big breath, she continued. "I do not suppose you know when Rayne may next come in to town? I know not how to contact her."

The figure seemed to laugh a very, very human laugh. "You misunderstand. Reeve did not discard you like he did me. The feelings I got from him while still connected..." It paused, unable to manifest words. "He was hurting, inside. Perhaps betrayal... but I do not know." It took out a peice of candy from its claok, revealing a very human hand. "They will care, because they feel what I feel. Rayne only felt the love, Gage only the hate. They will both flock to you, all you have to do it wait."
It put the candy inside its mouth. "But I suppose you are done with Reeve, I will leave now." It said as it turned and hopped off the beam.

"How can I do anything if I cannot be by his side?" The question was not asked to have an answer. She did not know what to say or do about Reeve's choices. "Do you believe Reeve would return to me? Please be honest."

"How much do you care?" It asked, stopping. "You were able to blow it aside as if it were nothing, no sorrow was even apparent in your eyes. For a human, you were far too accepting of what just happened." The figure turned around, showing a very human face. He long, red hair and blood red eyes. "I was with Reeve for the better part of the years after he was left. Fear driven I followed him... and saw that he was weak." The man shook his head a bit. "He could hide his emotions well, but they always overcame him. Thats what it is to be human. But you... things happen and you can justify yourself by saying it was his choice." The man turned and started to walk to the door.
Suddenly he stopped. "If there is something left of Reeve, then he will return to say goodbye. Then he will follow his people into death to escape the emptiness inside. But you will not care. I can see it in your heart. You become cold as stone until the pain goes away, then you will not care. Much like the elfs."

"More than you give me credit for." she replied to his question about caring when he paused. The more he explained what he observed in her, the more she felt bad. Slowly, tears formed and fell down her cheeks, still wearing a smile as if it would hide her pain. "I have had to let go of ever person I have ever become close to. I have been keeping my feelings for him, my actions with him distanced so that when this day would come, I would be prepared.I want for him to be happy and to be well. I truly wish that meant I could be in his life. With what you said tonight .. Reeve seems to find his strength in solitude, which in turn means his happiness in some small way. What you and perhaps he seem to misunderstand is that I put his happiness before mine. Every time we have had to part, my heart aches to be with him again. Loving him has opened a floodgate of emotions I have never felt before. Part of me embraces this, part of me fears this. I know not how to manage so many emotions, I know not how anyone does. Perhaps this is the final evidence that proves I am not human. Who knows, who cares, right? I think he cares but he has his own agenda to follow, trying to incorporate me in to his life but I seem to have botched that. This is what I get for being a sheltered, isolated fool."

The man was suddenly upon Ziven, his teeth somehow filed to pints and hatred burning in his eyes. "I hate humans, I hate the elfs even more... but you, I truely hate you." It grabbed her shoulders, lifting her up into the air. "You say you gave him space because he gets happiness from it? Despite how he acts, he is still very much a human. You pulled him towards you, yet pushed him away at the same time. He was willing to give you his soul, and you second guessed the act. Why? Because you were afraid of what might happen?" He began to squeeze as he spoke. "He was afraid he would kill you, but decided to stay with you as long as he could. At any moment he could forget to supress his power that scorned him so, and if he had that would have been the end of you. Do you know what that would have done to him? He locked his mind from you, so you would not feel the emtiness he carries with him; and tonight you drank as you wondered if he was keeping things from you."
The man dropped her somewhat violently and walked to the door again. "You did not put you hapiness before his, you are just telling yourself that. You were afraid of being hurt, so you distanced yourself. While in solitude, Reeve rips himself apart both spiritually and metally... against his will. He fights to not be what he was forced to be. Bravo, woman, in breaking him once again." The man turend, leaning up against the door's rim. "And this is not because you were shealtered, it was because you were selfish."

She did not move as he spoke, did not flinch when he touched her, did not wince as he tightened his grip. In this moment, she wondered if it was her time to die, if not by Kains hand then by her own body giving out. She finally understood what it meant, what it felt like to be dying on the inside.
"Both Reeve and I could have done better. I believe not even you can deny this as truth.
Please know I truly am grateful for knowing you. Without you, I do not believe Reeve would have ever given me even a second thought and without you I would know him even less."
Visibly trembling, tears still streaming though her expression was neutral, she bowed to him.
"Atra esterní ono thelduin, mor'ranr lífa unin hjarta onr, un du evarínya ono varda." Finishing, she pressed two fingers to her lips and with a small pop, she was gone.
(Ooc: traditionally this is said as a greeting though tonight she means these words more as a farewell or blessing to Kain;
May good fortune rule over you, peace live in your heart, and the stars watch over you. )

The door to the bar slowly swings open as Dax walks through. Looking over the room to see if anyone is around, he makes his way over to his noraml seat. As he reached his chair, he extended his arms upward, and arced his back letting his spine crack from the base of his neck, down to his tail bone. With a lige, almost devilish grin, Dax pulled the chair out from under the table and sat down in his normal manner. Feet up on the flat of the table, leaned back on the chair with his heavily tattoo'd arms crossed over his chest.
