So uh, there's this game, Mount and Blade: Warband. There's a mod called Mount and Musket, which is exactly what it sounds like. Reddit jumped all over that and essentially do Napoleonic wars now, polished line formations and firing on command and everything. It was on sale on Steam, so Ben gave me a copy of it so that we can both be in the same brigade and have awesome moustaches together. It is one of the sweetest things anyone's ever given me.

I hate how easily scared i am. I watched up to ep 8 and it was the last one that really did me in. So here i am. Laying in my bed, awake, at 4 am. Its rather hot under the blankets, but the irrational fear of that thing coming to feast on my legs/ body is something rather frightening. Sure, i know it'll never happen, but oh man. Just the thought of it crawling around... On my ceiling... Gzwejeoehelwpbx heh. It's always those things that i can't see- what i irrationally get afraid of. Things i can see, well those csn be scary too. The scene from "Taken" plays over and over again on nights like this. I hate that im such a wimp. Will i ever just be able to let go of bad thoughts and never have to think again? ;;
Funny thing is, as a child i was never scared of thinga in the closet/under my bed. I would aleays be tge adventurous one- the secret spy hiding behind objects, dashing wall to wall, obtaining more information from the objective.., what happened to thay girl? T^T
Typos on ipod are annoying. Byt idgd right now. No, there are far greater things on mind right now.

I'm not a doctor but I think I have my sinus infection nearly cured now. C: I basically did sinus flushes any time my sinus became inflamed, along with a daily dose of a garlic supplement(though you're suppose to use raw garlic to get all that good stuff in.), and pain relievers.

I really need a hug right now. I'm so sad.

This post is about cats (No deaths, but I'm still really sad).

A recap of what some of you probably know:

Last year, a stray cat (Momcat) had kittens by our back porch. Eventually, the kittens came into the house. We kept one and . . . couldn't catch the other.

That kitten has been in the house ever since then and Momcat has been hanging around the house and being fed ever since then. I've asked my mother dozens of times over the year when we were going to take them in and she kept forgetting/putting it off/I was at school/she had work to do/was feeling tired/insert various excuse here.

At the end of April, Momcat had another litter. Surprise. Four kittens again.

Today . . . we took two of them and her to a dairy farm. Honestly, it was really hard for me. Someone working there spoke with my mother for all of sixty seconds and told her to just put the cats by the cows (there was a bowl of cat food there). So we opened the cage with Momcat in it and she went flying off. She ran at least 200 yards away from us, the barn, and everywhere else. I hope she returns there where she can be fed. We had to pull the kittens out of the cages because they were tucked all the way in the back.

I have very mixed feelings with this. At the farm, they'll be fed and have a warm place to stay, but they'll never be held or petted or snuggled or swaddled up in a blanket and carried around like a baby. They won't have a lap to sit on or be fed tasty cat treats. They won't be hogging up 75% of any human's bed or stretching out on a soft, squishy couch.

If we sent them to a shelter . . . well, the kittens might get homes, but the momcat might not. The only shelter within driving distance now is no longer non-euthanasia. I can't . . . I mean, if the choice is between little attention or risk of death . . . I can't do that . . .

I feel guilty that we had to give them up at all. Momcat trusted us so much. To be guided into the cage. To come into our house from time to time. To let us touch and hold her newborn babies. I feel . . . like . . . how could we?

But I know we couldn't take of 10+ cats. We just can't. We don't have the room or the money for it. Momcat is too used to being outdoors - she can't be an indoor cat . . . and I just can't go through the pain of having an outdoor cat again. I know what happens.

And for the past two weeks, we've been trying to trap the orange one (that's now a year old), but it's just too wiley.

Edit, update, sort of happy:

We had taken two kittens yesterday and kept the two friendlier kittens here. They're using the litterbox, getting acclimated, that's all good.

However, something just happened a few minutes ago. There was a scratch on our door.

Momcat has come back.

I mean, it was only about a 5-6 minute drive away, so it wasn't that far, but we're still surprised.

We're going to spay her and feed her, but she's probably going to remain an outdoor cat. She doesn't get along with our other cats, really, and I think she prefers being outside.

She's meowing a bit, though . . . so I wonder if she's looking for her kittens. ._.

*hugs* I think you did the right thing with the kitties, they will be ok and even farm cats get loved from time to time. The cat that we had for 13 years was originally a farm kitten that they gave us. When we were there picking her out we caught all the kitties and pet them lots. I'm sure those kittens will be happy, and I'm sure Momcat will come back to them since her kittens probably still need her.

@.@ Momcat has come back to us, no kittens in sight.

But . . . I guess if she cares more about coming back then finding her kittens, I guess it might mean that she's ready to shove them out of the nest anyway. They're around the age that she started becoming "just tolerant" with her previous litter.
