Dax yawned lightly, then closed his eyes, still listening to what was happening in the room around him

Hearing Dax, she wanted to reply but was distracted by Yawgmoth. Standing from the couch, she stared at him with a most unamused expression. There were so many factors at stake, she did not want to remain in the room if he was going to continue to provoke her. Already her emotions were surging through her, fear and anger that he would kill Reeve, sorrow and a feeling of helplessness that she likely would not have an opportunity to help him. This had become rather evident as her clothes started moving gently around her though to most it would not be obvious. "We will see when the time comes if that will be necessary. Despite how strongly I feel about him, it is his choice to fight you." Though she was looking for company on this night, she was not about to stand around and let him say such things to her. Though she would stand by Reeve, she would not interfere unless he wanted her to. Of course she wanted to see Reeve unharmed but she also believed that fate intended for her to be alone and the thought of they fighting and Yawgmoth winning worried her that this was a sign that fate would be taking him from her.

Dax turned his attention over towards the girl, partially opening one eye let not hte words of others ruin a pleasant evening for you friend. Sure, people may be able to say hurtful things, but regardless of what they say, the fac tis, its just words. they may be able to say what their intentions are towards a certain being, but it is not up to them to decide what shall fully happen.

"How true your words are." she said turning toward Dax, bobbing her head respectfully. Still believing it would be best not to comment on what her fear was, she wandered away from Yawgmoth and toward Dax, extending her hand once close enough. "I do not believe we have formally met. I am Ziven."

With a smile, Dax bowed his head towards the girl. A pleasure to meet you Ziven. I am DaxMaurier from the lost city of Midian. With another light smile he allowed his sun glasses to slide down his nose alightly to partially expose his glowing purple eyes

Yawgmoth stood up from the chair and started walking towards Ziven with a familiar crazed look upon his eyes. "Aw look at the poor little girl getting angry at us." Yawgmoth mocked standing but a few feet from Ziven now crossing his arms over his chest. "We can already tell, that you'll be begging us not to kill him. And we have just the price to pay. How cute. It seems we'll get what we wanted originally from you after all! What a grand way to achieve it too. Through the brutal acts of violence without actually causing any physical harm to you." Yawgmoth said in a very convincing and pompous manner. Although he did not want what he told her he wanted from her anymore because of Crow, just making her think he did, and thinking he would take that was satisfying enough. Yawgmoth turned to Dax "How untrue your words are" Yawgmoth corrected Ziven "Unlike the other peons, if we say we are going to do something, we have the power to make it a reality as we see fit. Denial is the most obvious response you fools can make but in your hearts you know that we can. You, Dax, should remember personally when we said we would kill you. While you lucked out and survived, we were very able to pierce your throat and almost got the job done. So you see, if we say we will kill Reeve in battle, then rest assured, it will happen. We are untouchable now, we have ascended far beyond what you remember my boy. For your sake, we hope you have too. Because we would love a rematch whenever you are ready for one" Yawgmoth said with a gentle smirk.

ziven, please don't worry, things will work themselves out in the end

You say you can make things as you see fit. That day we had our battle, you said yourself that you would end me. Dax now turns on his chair, letting his feet hit the ground with a soft thud, then leans forward resting his forams upon his knees, his gaze on Yawg.
And yet, here I sit today. Alive. A pure statment... No... Pure fact that you do not have controll over everthing... Again. Nothing but mere words.

Yawgmoth chuckled "We admitted to our error with you boy. But how many people have we said we would end, that we have? How many people have we proclaimed we would defeat, and we have? More than we have failed to live up to our words. Your words are the ones that are mere and hold no weight friend. And like we said, perhaps then we did not quite the power to do as we saw fit. But today, currently, we have more than enough. Soon you will. And then perhaps you and every other whelp will finally realize what we say is the real facts. Everyone is just in denial over it. Fooling their selves into security" Yawgmoth finished, the same smirking, cocky grin on his face. A few questions popped into Yawgmoth's head about Dax now though. Where had he gone to? If it was worth leaving a wife behind perhaps he had found some power where he went. Enough to make him a threat. Yawgmoth's arrogance made him believe this was bullshit, but his logical thought patterns made him agree. That this could be true. He would just have to find out some day. Some day soon.

"Indeed a pleasure, DaxMaurier from the lost city of Midian." she said kindly to Dax.

Turning to Yawgmoth again, she shook her head.
"I do not believe that you truly seek that still." she said simply. Listening to Dax and Yawgmoth speak now, she was able to calm herself though only enough to stop her clothes from moving.

Sure, I know lots of people have fallen to your hand, and I know many more will fall as well. But that does not negate the shere fact that you could have very little to do with their death... Well, along the lines of fate anyways. Dax stretched abit as he spoke, never letting his gaze leave yawg's eyes
But, be it fate decideing that it was their time to go. Then you were nothing more then a toy used by the gods to get their dirty work done. Meaning all-in-all, the people did not die of your choice... No... they died as it was simply their time.
Dax stood up and started to pace around the room, never letting his stare leave Yawg's eyes still. This was not ment to be a challenge or any type of threat, dax simply became uncomfortable in the chair.
You say the people around here, and virtually everywhere fill themselves with a sence of false security? And what about you? What if all you have done to date, was simply an act of fate. Nothing that you decided at all. Just simply, certain things were ment to be done, and you were used as a tool to get them done. Has that thought ever crossed your mind? Could that be why you always give yourself so much praise? Maybe to give yourself a sence of that very security that you mock others for. Dax crossed his arms and leaned his back aganist the wall near the fire place, the glistening embers of the fire embueing his eyes with various images , that no human eye would be able to decifier

Yawgmoth took another step closer to Ziven turning his head closer to stare into her eyes, unblinking a black blur whipped downward and sliding like a black serpent up her left leg his tail began to coil its way upward. "Really now?" Yawgmoth said surprised as his tail stopped on her upper thigh. "Are you sure we're not still after that? Let's just say, what Crow doesn't know. Won't hurt her. Besides, you won't tell. Because then we'll kill you too. Self preservation is a natural instinct in the living." Yawgmoth said with a confidant tone, trying to be as convincing that he was going to make her give that up to save Reeve. He winked with a laugh as his tail unwound its way from around her leg but not before the last bit of it uncoiled, freeing it, causing him to whip it upward and in a 'football tap' motion hit the back of her a**. "Please, do keep believing what you will." he shrugged stepping back knowing that would either cause her to believe in his conviction to get that from her, or cause her to be very very angry. In which case he stood ready.

Yawgmoth then turned his eyes to Dax. "What you say kid has partial truth for once. We for one are a strong believer in this fate power. We do not tempt it, nor do we deny the existence. We do believe in such a manner however, that is our fate, to be a destroyer, be it of races, worlds, people, or objects. That is our place in the universe. And even if what we have done here is fate, by our hand, by the cause of fate making us this way, we will kill anyone we feel fit to off"

Dax smiled abit turning his head to the side
You say that you are a stong believer in fate, maybe even a follower, then you know full well, that anyone that has fallen to your hand, has not fallen by your will or choice, but merely, by an act of fate.
Dax grinned abit, pushed himself off the wall and walked right towards Yawg. After closeing in a few feet he let his tail un-wrap itself from around his waist to swing freely along the floor.
