That article was rather amusing, but also a very rational view on the subject it referred to. I'd have enjoyed it more if it weren't for my current inner conflict. Everyone's got a 'button' so to speak. And it's a basis of things that genuinely set you off. No one can truely ignore it when their buttons are pressed, but it can be let go and shaken off if you know they're just trying to push your buttons. However, for your button to be pushed hard out of no where, you can and most-likely do snap. A friend of mine pressed my button rather hard and suddenly via the tone of his voice being more serious and his words being rather insulting. I lashed back offended at what seemed like him rubbing salt into my wounds of having to scrape by to keep my hobbies like playing Video Games with him and others afloat. Apparently his button was his ego in theory. When I spoke out against the harmful comment that made me feel like he was trying to make me feel less of a person than I am, he took it as if I were riding a 'high horse' and snapped himself. The situation might've resolved easier had my 360 not reverted back to it's ridiculous phase of cutting LIVE off every few hours for more than 10 minutes. It happened right near the end of what I was trying to explain to him and left me in a bad spot since he didn't hear everything I tried to tell him. Now I've tried to get a hold of him, but he's really stubborn. It's only natural, but what was little more than a petty arguement turned into an explosion because it miraculously centered right atop both persons' buttons and pushed them rather hard. I didn't snap on him in the spiteful sense or purposely striking his button. I didn't even really know where his button truely was. I just spoke out to contest what felt like an attempt to make me feel like less of a person simply because I can't get my hands on the money to fuel my hobbies like he can. He doesn't have a job, but any money he gets is generally poured into his gaming. I don't blame him for it. He enjoys gaming and so do I, but he's got no business insulting me simply because I couldn't do with my money, whenever I got any, what he's done with his. I may not be the smartest, most tactical, best gamer, or even most physically healthy person of my group, but I'm still a human being and I'm the oldest of the group. If for nothing else I'd like atleast the general amount of respect from the group and himself that I give them. I've given him massive respect over the years. He's the best gamer among us and generally does well in everything he does. He's also very humorous, though his humor sits on the border of insulting and joking. He's always generally been pretty nice. I understand the concept of an ego and he's made no attempt to hide it. Infact he's made it clear on a few occassions how big his ego really is, but where in all of that does it say you can just stomp on your friend's feelings and make him seem like less of a person. I don't mind my gaming or anything related to what we play/entertain ourselves with being insulted as I'm not as good at most stuff as he is, but it's too far to go from insulting my lack of skills to insulting me myself as a human being. I may be older, but I don't consider myself any better than most anyone I've ever come across. I've done my best to see people equally rather than for appearances, petty details, or what others think of them. You could call me arrogant and that my belief of equality is just BS to make myself feel better about where I currently stand in life, but it's not. Whether equality is a lie or not, it's a system of fairness. It enforces the idea that all people should be treated fairly. Make no mistake though. Life isn't fair by any means. Even the nicest most respectible people in life can end up in the worst possible predicament or situation. This belief doesn't misguide me to believe irrationally either. If you've truely done something wrong, there is a due degree of consequence to every action based on how big the action is. Consequences entitle the idea of punishment, but realistically it's best described as the results of your actions. For everything you do theres a consequence, but consequences can be good as well as bad.
Meh. I feel like I'm just rambling on though, so I'll just leave it at that, but I felt like I should speak my mind and I didn't really have anywhere else to go with it.

I left a response to the article link about Pokemon that turned into a post about my venting at a stupid conflict with a friend of mine in real life.

Comical play-offs using another person's abnormally large block of OOC text explaining massive butthurt over simple matters that became overly inflated. Ahh, the comedical justice.
