I'll see your uni connection and raise you one case of dial up.
It kills you slowly.

I think the dial up wins.
And Juuni, good work owning a gnome with a Tauren. Even if I am alliance, at the moment, I hate gnomes. =P

rofl True true.
It's fantastic when it works, but there are periods where it just stops working. Completely.
What's worse is, if students don't register their machines on the network first, they can't get on. XD So I've helped three and almost four different people today to put their computers on the school network.

We had to register our computers for browsers to connect to the internet too, at the beginning of each year.
Only this year the registration was bugged so that no one could get their browsers to connect without going to IT or managing to stumble across the measures to circumvent it on their own. I had to connect to a non-functioning network, THEN reset my computer, THEN turn it back on and tell it to switch to the working one with the bugs on registration. And then after a few more loops, it worked.
For a couple of hours before connection started flicking on and off regularly.
But yes, I lived dial-up for years. It keels.
Didn't even play video games or look up art. Just tried to play PoC or BC. Did not work so well with dial-up and shared computer.

All the talking bout WoW... ;_; But I probably going to play a little again, using a research about the usage of German in the environment of new media/internet/RPGs for an excuse XP
Btw, you have access to the European servers with a US account, right?
