"You want me to in affect, mimic something given to, or something else warped given to, me and apply it in a runic way to be recieved by another rune mage." She took on that thinking look a moment before a nod. It was possible, rune mages used something like that literally to talk to one another. Thier own language that just required the know how of how to get the message. "I could...though him being Andalian as well, when he figrues out he'll know how to undo it."

Ah yes the bane of rune mages...each other. Once they figured runings had been done, they could easily remedy it by manipulating what was there, sometimes to thier own uses if they wanted. "It's...difficult, but not impossible...don't know how long it would last you before he found out. I can walk in here and feel every rune on this place, I'm sure he'd pick up my own, even if I masked them, in due time."

Kieran had other concerns on that matter...doing something of that scale took a lot out of a rune mage, and Fianna was already fragile enough in his opinion down here. Though he didn't speak against it...if Fianna hated anything it was being treated like she was glass and needed to be locked away to be kept from being chipped or broken.

Piper shook her head...she knew exactly where Malik was going with the idea...and she wasn't enjoying it. Malik couldn't leave things alone when they most needed to be. He was hell bent with Sevilin being trapped here. She couldn't figure out why Malik, if he was so intent, wouldn't just slap a collar around his neck, after all that was his favortie method of control.

"I considered it, Piper. it's keeping him in place and getting around his runes that prevents it."

yes, he knew what she was thinking and that she knew what he was considering.

"I have a question though concerning masking. is it possible, with a bit of skill that I am sure you have..to give these runes a 'feel' that perhaps myself, or piper forged them?"

A small smile.

"After all. a bit of blood..and I can know everything he does..and he's spilt enough lately. not that I had opportunity to get my hands on it, but might curb his arrogance to think I know what he does. Or to not be sure that I do or not."

He was poking into her head again. Not that she minded him being there, she liked him there most of the time. "You could always just sneak up behind him and hit him really really hard." Was that delight in her voice over the picture in her head? Sure was. After all...silent as she had been about all the incidents of late with him...she didn't let them go forgotten. He had marked her skin over and over again, had even drawn blood from her...she was quite over him a thousand times.

One of those 'why in the world would you want to know that' looks. But being her, she didn't hold back when asked a question that she could answer fully. "I don't think he would buy that you had done them, espcially since they'll be in Andalian style." A point to her daughter. "But Piper did have some formal training, she could pull off runing sufficently enough to fake it being her doing." Though they could see the obvious worry for her daughter at that prospect.

Malik really was adamant about getting Sevilin 'leashed' so to speak on the matter. It was admirable in a way, seeing as he was willing to go to such lengths to, well as Malik had state, keep him and his safe. Kieran didn't protest too much, seeing as him and Sevilin were at odds as it was. A look to Piper though who obviously wasn't happy with Sevilin. Could tell it in her tone and the way she even held onto Malik at mentions of him.

That got a chuckle form Malik.

"Kieran, you didn't tell her about Malvolence, did you. I'm not surprised."

But he let that rest at that.

"Anything that might keep him in line. He's bruised piper at least twice now, grabbing her wrists and whatnot, and I intend to keep him in line, but I don't need him running away to another buyer. Which means I need to find a way to bind him to my house, and then....then I'll handle him in full."

A drumming of fingers on his chair.

"Sevilin has an attraction to Zahara, and Zahara is head over heels after him. now if there is a way to let that damned drow get past his fears and chains to act on it, I'll have him as easily as a rat in a trap. anyway you can help there? other than that, I was planning to torment him with a constant reverie through his information net of his little 'incident' of sleeping with Zahara. of which I still am hoping she'll show some sign of bearing a child from."

Kieran and Piper perhaps both gave that 'oh there are just some things that you shouldn't tell Fianna' look. Piper tugged on his shirt a little. "A'mael, please let it lie...at least for now." Not that that would help anything right now. Yeah there were just some things you didn't want Fianna knowing...and some things you just shouldn't ask of her.

Fianna, firstly raised an eyebrow, though her posture seemed to stiffen some, be less friendly and a bit more tense, perhaps bordering a more negative feeling. Ever mess with a wild cat's cub? You got the claws. "Oh has he now..." She drummed her own nails on her knee a moment, that business look on her for a moment, the look of a royal. Though the follow up on the methods he was trying to use did throw her a little. It was a drow method through and through and her look fell purposefully to Piper. Perhaps in that 'and why haven't you talked him out of this' way.

Yeah, some things you just didn't tell Fianna at all. But he cleared his throat. "No, I didn't. Didn't think it important really..." He crossed his arms lightly...before cringing and letting them merely rest in his lap, forgetting for a moment that he was still indeed hurt and not quite up to par. "Even under your house rules doesn't mean he won't strike back at you...and you have to see the possibility of Zahara wanting to be in your way if she is that...attracted...to him."

Piper purposefully tried to avoid her mother's gaze...more or less by turning her face into his shirt as well as occupying herself with some invisible wrinkle in his shirt or what not. She didn't particularly want to explain that one to her mother.

"Trust me. I have that well in hand, Kieran. that book of Piper's on runing has given me a special thing to play with. I have a special room fully prepared for Sevilin once I know he's mine. he has honor, if he gets trapped to my house he'll stay. and then I'll have nothing to fear in his power being turned against me for someone else's service."

And a darkening of his eyes at Zahara's potential interfereance.

"Zahara knows better."

Though at their other gazes..he only sighed lightly and gave a little nod. no speaking of his blade just yet to fianna. hopefully she'd never see it in action before it got explained to her.

"But we have other more pleasent things to talk about, don't we? how about this council, how does it work? and whom will be there?"

Merciful Malik was at the moment, changing the subject from one that could set a certain someone down a path that was better left untraveled. She sighed into his shirt, face still buried in his chest for the moment. So in good faith of fostering a more pleasant enviroment, she looked up to him, pressing a kiss to his jaw in thanks of the little shift and took to backing it up. "Councils, boring and stuffy."

Kieran was right quick to pick up on Piper to turn the situation back in a favorable direction. "You only say that because you didn't fare too well at the last one you atteneded." Had been her first and last, and they had never forced her to go to anymore if she didn't want to...embarassing yourself in front of that particular group was understandable want to not attend anymore. But his looked turned to Malik. "Well...first is the six elven royals. Fianna and Myself, the two royals of Selkor and then two of Carris, sea and high respectively. Along with the anyone who has thier invite, and the Crest Brigade as well."

Obviously it was a subject that the other two didn't want to talk about or were trying to protect her from. But there would be plenty of time where she could have a moment alone with Malik if need be, or if she wanted to find things out for herself, that was possible too. "Basically we'll all just attened, bring up issues, observations, anything that needs to be addressed...though with light of current events...I can tell this one will be quite the council." After all, Piper was enough to stir things a little, add in Malik and all the other happenings of late and....well yeah. "The drow, probably won't be joining us...they never do even if the invitation is open." A little shake of her head. "I'm sure it's nowhere near as formal and restricted as you may be thinking it is."

Malik gave Piper a little squeeze.

"Understandable. Koada'dal and Tier'dal...they never are aroudn eachother if they can help it, and for good reason."

After all, last Koada'dal to be around malik was probalby now either dead or still wandering Andal as a gibbering monkey for all his brainpower that was left.

"I expected a round table eviron, rather formal..speakers taken in turn, issues brought before the whole in due course. however, recent events, myself and Piper attending, our emminent wedding..there's somethign else I am interested in. the High elven community might already know about me, and not favorably, I'm afriad."

A glance over at Kieran.

"Kaden's associate...some koada'dal...I sent back to Andal as a warning against those who might try Kaden's game again. Left him in one of our..special rooms until his mind became little more than mush. so the koada'dal may be aware of me."

"Well...they don't appreciate us as a whole anyway. And the Requias drow think it better to just not be involved really." A little nod from her then, crossing her arms lightly. "Well...round yes, table no. And taking turns is there in a sense...though proven to use by Kieran and Talithia themselves that that quickly goes out the window." A little shake of her head then. "Things can be worked out well."

Kieran let his head tilt lightly before turning his gaze to Malik and fixing it there a moment, expression a bit serious. "No need to worry about that Malik...the Crest Brigade saw to that one." They had struck swiftly too...after all, a mindless elf wandering the plane was no good for it. "And I told you, you'll be under my responsibility...let Carris deal with me."

Piper merely rested her head on his chest again...she didn't like hearing those two names or that Malik was worried about things such as that either. Made for stress and there was much to much of that around here these days. Though mother and father seemed to be handling it well enough...he was just content that things were being handled, even if she was the one who would worry the most.

"Then things will be well in hand, and rather pleasently enjoyable I imagine. And I don't let others fight my battles if I can help it, Carris can play with me if they want. they'll find I can hold my own."

A grin.

"And while we're here..anything you have planned to bring up already that I might be able to add a word or two in edgewise? Oh..and I have nother task for you, Fianna...I want to find Sevilin's teacher while we're there. I'm curious how he was able to hide that kind of learning in Llothian society."

"I think you'll be just fine Malik...and if anyone has thier say in it, the Crest Brigade will be first to speak on that issue...the all consuming peace force if you will...people that even us royals have been known to take a second glance at what we are doing." But a little nod. "The trade gate, I'm sure you can vouch for. You will mainly have to contest with yourself, your intentions, and Piper."

Fianna looked to him again and nodded. "Those of us who are masters must call someone else master...and there is but one we all look up too." Though she was quite put off in knowing that the one who taught her to be a master had taught Sevilin as well. Small world. A little look to Kieran. "I suppose...I could see if he is avaliable...a keep to himself elf, really."

Slender shoulders shrugged. "Subtle signals are easy to misintrepret. You've told me in no uncertain terms that you don't like me, don't want me around, don't want anything to do with me. I'm well aware of your opinon both of me, my sex, and surface elves. But that's all on the surface." She studied her hands for a moment. "You've sent me nothing but mixed signals from the moment I met you and frankly I'm tired of it." She was getting irritated now, he was so smug, the damn b*****d. Standing up she reached across the table yanked one of those books then tossed it on the table. The corner of the book hit the plate that she'd forgotten about and flipped it sending grapes into the air. As the bunch hit the floor she leaned down and picked it up then caught sight of one rolling. Already on her hands and knees it was easier just to crawl forward and get it, so she did. Sadly she wasn't fast enough and it rolled until it hit Sevilin's boot and then sat there. She could almost imagine him standing above her smirking down.

A look down, watching the grape roll across the floor and to his boot, hitting the tip and coming to a stop where it was...and then Zahara entered his line of vision as she was on her hands and knees after it. Wasn't that a sight, Sevilin standing there and Zahara on her hands and knees before him. Though looking down at her he was, smirking he was not.

Closing his book and pushing it back into it's place on the shelf he knelt down slowly, nimble fingers reaching down to pick up the grab before she did, brining it up to eye level, his other hand moving to grasp her arm and pull up some, to put her on her knees rather than hands as well and more or less eye level with him. "And you have given me only the same." His tone wasn't accusing or mocking, merely soft stated fact, his head tilting a little to look past the grape that was held between them, hair falling into his eyes slightly.

"I'm not an idiot...I know that you are just as frustrated with me as I can be with you, especially by your own admission this very night. You call it mixed signals, I call it unacknowledged signals. All in all, we suffer from the same problem...don't we? Drow...who are from a broken mold." Staring at her intently with those eyes of his, almost commanding that she actually pay attention.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:47 am

She held in a gasp when he locked onto her arm, that first instinct to lop off the hand that had touched her bubbling to the surface. Her other hand even reached for her dagger until she dropped it to the floor for balance. And now she was face to face with him, not the best place to be when she was on the floor like this but her eyes captured the grape briefly before lifting and locking onto his. "Unacknowledged...by choice or by instinct Sevilin?" her voice was just as soft as his was, her irritation had fled the moment he pulled her up. His last sentence stopped her for a moment and then she shook her head. "A broken mold..yes, I suppose so...the question is what do we intend to do about it?"

Took him two seconds to let go of her arm once she was up on her knees, after all, he had caught her reaction...even if there had been no malice in the action, she still acted as if he was meaning to yank her around and what not. "By force...you could say." He after all, didn't deny what had happened to him in the past, he just didn't like referencing it at all.

"What can be done about broken things...some can be fixed...and some are to remain broken as they are...and sometimes that can't be changed. No matter the means to try to hold broken pieces together." Red eyes showing that unguarded emotion behind him, showing he wasn't speaking in riddles or mocking, but what his self truly believed...even if he didn't know any better.

Slowly, so as not to freak her out, he reached for her other hand and grasped it, turning her palm up and then placing the grape in it, closing her fingers around it before his hands left hers. He could be right gentle when he wanted to be now coudln't he? "Do you really intend to keep at something that is of no actual worth?" Referencing of course her statement of not giving up on him for whatever reason. His worth? He was nothing but a tool to others. Even now, as he worked for Malik despite his frustrations.
