Lord Yawgmoth

Shadowy Lunatic

PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2007 10:42 pm

Yawgmoth tilted his head for a moment. "Good evening." He responded back. His tone was colder, more detached. The playful undertone of him wanting to torment her simply because she existed seemed gone now. "We believe you know something." Yawgmoth said walking closer to her. Although his manner may not have been threatening the cold tone just may inspire some drawback or fear from him. "You sense that we are different from before do you not?" He inquired stopping just a few feet from her. His tail laid oddly motionless the whole time. Letting itself be drug over the floor rather than picking itself up to move with him or swaying behind him.

Arching a brow slowly, she was rather taken by surprise by Yawgmoth's words. The tea in her hands was suddenly gone and she rose from her seat. With a small nod, she indicated that he was correct. "Indeed, you are changed though I know not how. Before, I was present to see the Ur dragons with you .. Are you further changed from that experience or something new?"

"Allow us to show you" Yawgmoth said motioning to his left hand which reached out towards her. The way for which it reached was not threatening at all, and seeing as it was headed for her forehead and not her other body parts one would assume he meant to not feel her up again. His tan skin laid upon her blue hair and a pulse ran through his arm. The pulse's energy was not as malicious in nature as the darkness that she would be accustomed to feeling. The pulse in fact, was meant to show memories, like a movie in front of her eyes which it did. Memories of a man named Urza, memories of his weapon, memories of being hit by that weapon, visions of Yawgmoth's mind severing into two halves. One she knew well, evil and cruel, one was kind, gentle, protective. The next memories were of the cruel side killing the kinder gentler side, and finally showed her what events had transpired in the outside where the two became one again. He removed his hand and chuckled lightly. "Believe it or not. That was the first time we have ever done what we just did. We are finding all sorts of odd quirks about us now that we whole again. Mourn not for the side that died, it was never supposed to exist in the first place as you can tell. We have forced memories of us at war before. Those were before Urza and his weapon. That is how we were at perfect strength and mind. As we are again. You, seemed to be the first to pick up on this." Yawgmoth stated letting his hand fall to the wayside of his body. "Your insightful abilities are keen. Even if they cannot measure exactly what has occurred. The fact that they are aware that something has occurred is proof enough of their aptitude." He complimented, yes, actually complimented. Yawgmoth took a seat and awaited any reply she had to his display, any questions he was sure she would have. She was quite the curious one he knew.

As his hand drew near, her back stiffened, anticipating anything but a kind touch. Relaxing a bit as she realized he certainly was not intending her harm on this day, she allowed the vision of his memories to flow past her eyes without argument. Once finished, she arched a brow, still rather shocked that he had actually touched her without harming her.

Blue eyes looked up to him, still wanting to understand what he was getting at. She tilted her head a bit upon hearing, if memory served, the second compliment towards herself from him. Pausing to scratch her head, she again seated herself, facing him where he sat, looking perfectly poised and calm.
"The power of observation is often the greatest asset one could have." she said simply, bobbing her head. "What was the purpose of separating yourself? Was it painful? And absorbing yourself once more .. was that a relief or burden or ..?"

Yawgmoth tilted his head for a moment in thought. "We did not mean to separate. It just, happened. We suppose it was a side effect of Urza's weapon. Since it failed to kill us like he intended it to, we suppose instead it split us in two dividing our powers so we were no longer a threat to him and his plane of Dominaria." Yawgmoth answered. "And painful?" Yawgmoth said leaning his face near hers with a serious expression, locking gazes with her. "You don't know the meaning of the word." his tone was deadly serious as he tore his crimson eyes away and sighed. "Although it did not kill us, it left us crippled, and our Phyrexia in near ruins. We are well aware now that if it were not for our ascension in growing a planeswalker spark that day, that we would have perished. For you see, after that hit we lie on the sixth sphere of Phyrexia for nearly two-thousand of your years. Unable to move, unable to eat, sleep, drink or do anything but writhe in agony at the inconceivable amount of damage the weapon had done. But we knew why, we knew for one it was designed for over four-thousand of your years, designed to do nothing but kill us. That was the weapons purpose. It would hurt no other creature. Urza obsessed over us, over killing us with that, for four-thousand years. And we know that laying there, that was our punishment for our crimes against the universe. We knew the great creator and his fellow gods were laughing at us. It was during this period that our mind slowly split apart. It was year later when the two of us finally separated into two physical bodies." Yawgmoth went on to explain further. At the mention of what had happened to him she could see his face cringe up in rage and hatred for Urza. The mention of his very name seemed to cause steam to vent from Yawgmoth's head. "And we know that that damned man is laughing with them now. He gave his life and his own planeswalker spark to power the weapon. So he was, in his mind, assuring our defeat with his life. We only wish he hadn't died. So we could have killed him ourselves and tortured his soul for four times as long as we laid there" Yawgmoth said as the arms of the chair he was holding crushed into dust under his grip. Unconsciously he'd been squeezing at the arm rests while reciting his greatest defeat, and his greatest blow to his ego.

Nodding as he spoke, she better understood what he was getting at. What she did not expect was for the strength in his hands to obliterate the arms of the chair. With a small squeak she jumped up, not having realized what happened at first. Tilting her head, blue eyes rested on his hands, seeing the dust of the chair fall from his fingers. A small grin formed at one side of her mouth and she could not help but laugh.

With a small bow, she realized the hour had grown quite late and it was time for rest.
"Thank you for tonight. If you will excuse me, I must be going. Until next we meet." she said softly, and the next moment she was gone.

Yawgmoth's eyes watched the empty room for a moment. Letting go of the chair he stood up shaking the dust from his hands where he'd crushed in the arm rests. Yawgmoth only shook his head at her laughter. She was lucky though, with as cold and cruel as he'd been to others lately had she not been there to hear him out he might've struck at her. "Until next time." Yawgmoth said to the air with a slight humph in his breath. Yawgmoth decided too the hour was late enough that it was time for him to return to Crow. Walking down the stone staircase that is exactly what the dark lord did.

Amara entered the tavern with a wide grin on her face, but, strangely enough, there were hints of tears trickling down her pale cheeks. She was laughing and shaking her head slightly, running her hand through her loose, pale blue hair as she swayed her hips and wandered to the bar to take a seat.

She was dressed up in a navy blue satin dress, one of her favourites. He hair was decorated with a silver circlet and her left arm and both hands were also elaborately dressed up. She wore, as usual when she dressed up, her green emerald necklace that her mother passed on to her before her death. It had been so long since Amara had felt the presence of her mother with her, but after placing the pendant around her neck, she was surrounded by the great power her mother posessed instantly, which added to her happy tears today.

It was not obvious yet why Amara was so happy suddenly, but such knowledge would be known to the entire tavern soon enough.

Lyanel approached the door to the tavern with a steady grin on his face. He was glad to be back, and although this place had been shelter to him for no more than a month, it was the closest he had to home. He followed his wife through the door, closing it after they were both in to keep the warmth inside and the cold air outside. The scents of the tavern filled his nose as he entered, causing his smile to widen a little more. Such a pleasent atmosphear should be impossible to achieve in such a place filled with evil.
He continued to follow his beautiful wife to the bar counter, but instead of taking a seat beside her, he chose to walk behind the bar, and pull out their drinks - a bottle of sparkling water for her, and a glass of whiskey for him.
These actions that he was so used to doing now, almost like routine, made him chuckle. When Amara turned up at the elven city yesturday to collect him, the Wood Elves found it most peculiar for the husband to doat on the wife, and not the other way around. The elf way of life was still lacking behind others, but their weaponry and skills were excelled passed others intensely.
Those thoughts reminded Lyanel of something that he had obtained in the city, and he thought that it might be of interest to Aliator.
"Tell me, darling, where might Aliator be at this time?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 02, 2007 4:48 pm

Amara smiled and picked up her drink, gripping the lid and twisting it slowly, allowing the buzz of air being released come slowly instead of all at once. "He is, most likely, at his castle negotiating with Yawgmoth. He could also be having private time with Clavi and his many children. It is hard to say. I can only know roughly where he is when he is out in the open land, which doesn't happen very often these days - he is far too busy with war."
After the buss from the bottle had finished, she completely opened it and took a sip, her eyes twitching a little as the fizz caught her.

"Well, that is understandable considering what is happening inside the Syndicate at this time. People of Aliator's importance cannot be expected to be easily tracked."
Lyanel smiled at his wife, and then poured his whiskey into a large glass. He stopped once the glass was three quarters full, and then downed half of it, his eyes widening for a moment or two before finishing the last quarter. It took only a minute for the suttle burn to cease, leaving him nodding with a sly expression.
"That's some good s**t."

Amara was quietly sipping her bottled water, listening to what Lyanel was saying and simply nodding along. For a few minutes she peered around the, what seemed, empty tavern, knowing that it had been quite some time since she had admired the details of the wooden pannels, dim lights, dancing fire and rustic furniture. She smiled slightly, before furrowing her eyebrows and turning back to him.
"Why, exactly, do you want to see him?"

Lyanel shrugged and poured himself another glass of whiskey, this time a little less that before. He chose to speak before he drank, as he found it quite difficult to speak with the burn in his throat.
"I... uh... well, a certain item of value came into my possesion in the city, and i am pretty sure that it would be of interest to him, and if not, it will sell for a nice price."
He deliberately did't look into his wifes eyes as he spoke then, as he knew that she would be able to tell exactly what he meant by 'came into his posession'. It wasn't like he killed the man, he just won't be waking up for a few more nights.

Amara rolled her eyes and continued to sip her drink.
"Next you will be telling me that the diamond ring you are trying to give me simply fell into your hand."
Her face was stern for a few moments before she broke, and began to laugh. She could never stay angry at him, infact, she could never keep a straight face while looking at him, not in a bad way ofcourse.
"So, what is the item that he might be interested in? It takes quite alot to interest Ali for longer than a few minutes, so it better be something good. You don't really want to risk wasting his time at the moment, he's very stressed with war, and all work no sex or family time makes Ali very very grouchy."

"No sex would drive any man on the planet crazy, Amara. Being a man means that you are designed to be aroused by most natural accouring phonomena on the planet, which is something no woman can ever understand. Like a man can't for the life of them understand what the hell goes on in a womans brain."
But then, Lyanel stopped himself from going any further on such a subject, knowing that if he did he would only dig himself a hole so deep that he would never be able to climb out of. He simply smiled and shrugged, and continued on the more important subject.
"The item i obtainted is actaully a weapon. It is very difficult to explain what exactly it does, but i know for sure that it draws on the energy around it, and transfers it into one of the aspects it needs to work properly."
Lyanel pulled out from his pouch hanging from his belt what seemed to be a small silver ball and held it out so Amara could see in the palm of his hand.
"It is used much like a grenade. You throw it at your target, and assuring that you are precise and acurate in your throw, it will actually be far more effective than a grenade... Four times more effective actaully, but in a different way."
