what shakira manages to do is show how limber she is, and how well she knows her own body... the moves in strange, but practiced ways. it's just jarring to see it with such an old-school sounding song in your ear. it's like... crumping to a disco/synthpop mix, which is almost what she's doing. almost.
once you get over how unorthodox her movements are, one can actually appreciate them.
