Actually, Cale, Maul wasn't a total mindless killer.
He did design the sith infiltrator all by himself. The problem was that Sidious wouldn't let him show off his intelligence, because Maul was 1) too early for a public display and 2) what's the point of pure terror if its smart too? Something about a beast is often times more frightening than a calculated killer.
But no, Maul was actually quite intelligent, just rarely got a chance to display it.

You are right, however, that he was quite overconfident.
But then again, Kenobi couldn't lose at that stage... Lucas would never allow it. Which kind of sucks really, because despite making Kenobi look uber-leet, no matter what party is involved someone gets screwed.
The thing is that Maul was designed to be like a scalpel with a face of terror. Surgical strikes, like an assassin until Palps got power. Unfortunately, Maul got in over his head trying to tackle a character with a hero buff.
Maul is definately one of the coolest characters in the SW universe. Unfortunately, he just never got much screen time, even in writing.
Although, i have to admit, Maul almost never used any force powers to my knowledge. He was almost like Grevious in that matter. But he knew quite a lot of Juyo to make fighting him really a pain in the a**.
Oh well. No harm no foul.
Maul was just not someone you'd have as a posterboy for Vice Chancellor.

I was going to, but it got put on a back burner, along with several other things when i started getting clothing edits for the store.
No good deed ever goes unpunished.

Comm system...they can have short range transcievers...having speakers that small is not outside of their purview...If it's any consolation they're slower than standard Fly Eyes...

yeah but no matter what the hell I do, no matter where I go, anywhere I have a conversation someone always pops up some how and gets some damn word in edgewise when they're long gone. damn annoying. you wanted to say something, you shouldn't have left, not magically project your voice.

Well I did! And I had an appointment to keep! So I had to go... The Fly Eyes are just my standard shpiel With that many potentially hostile armed men in there you expect me to go in there without remotely scoping it out?
