Kazgoroth looked at the kid and sighed, "Oh, that doesn't look good. I don't think there is anyone who can heal here."

Patience climbed up to sit in Kaz's lap where he could safely pull out the screw and deposit it into Duff's hand for disposal.
"It don't matter if anyone could heal," Duff said as he returned from the garbage can. "Magic don't work on Nicodemus. Mistress made sure it wouldn't."
"Or alcohol or chemicals-"
"-especially poison," Duff finished for Patience. Pat lifted his foot for his brother to see, then giggled as Duff's tongue began licking the wound.
"That tickles!"

Sino sighed as she watched them, poking her stomach once before looking back at Duff and Patience.

Patience watched Sino and Kazgoroth as Duff licked his foot. "You both don't talk a lot, do you?"

She mumbled as she rubbed her neck.

Patience wiggled his toe as Duff finally stood up. The wound was still there, but it no longer bled.
"Well, start up a conversation, then," Duff offered as he ran to sit next to Sino.

Sino giggled as she picked up Duff, making sure her hair covered her neck.
"Well, that's the thing. I don't know what to talk about Duffy."

Kazgoroth adjusted his cloak a bit to cover his neck and he leaned back on the couch as he watched them.

Patience had notice Kaz's movement of covering his neck, and he'd seen the marks. At the sight of them, he froze and stared with what looked like ever-rising fright at the area where he'd seen the marks.
Duff hadn't noticed anything just yet and was still intent on getting a conversation out of Sino. "Ask me how old I am. Ask why I've got horns. Conversations start with questions."
