Itachi's eyes narrowed, "What where you're touching..." she warned, continuing to study the strange creature. The woman sighed. "I wish I knew why you were in here in the first place."

"Beline, Athame. Athame, Beline," the figure responded distantly, laying it's head down on Itachi's chest. The ghost brought its hands together nad began to clap in time to Itachi's own heartbeat.

Kaguyo nodded. "I forgot about that.... Yes, the pages are true." she lied again. "How much have you read?"

The assassin blinked, "Okay... I'm really not good pillow material, here." Itachi replied, confused by this thing's strange actions.

"All of it." Aled replied honestly. "And you're lying to me, Kaguyo-chan." His cat-like eyes caught her in their sight. "You're lying, because I know some of the things in here... simply aren't true."

Kaguyo went pale immediately, unable to tear her eyes from Aled's. Gods he knew how to make someone feel transparent as air.... "...N...Naniyo??" she stammered, backing away a bit. "A..Aled-kun...." But not all of the book was lies, and this was what Kaguyo had been backing on. "I...I had made it to decieve you before..." she whispered as if admitting---it wasn't entirely a lie. "Gomen nasai, Aled-kun..."

"I'm not your toy." Itachi growled softly. "Unless..." her face brightened. "Unlock me from these chains, Beline... and I'll play with you." It was worth a shot...

But Aled shook his head, "It wasn't the book I was talking about. You told me, just now, that the pages were true." he smirked darkly. "And they are not."

Kaguyo fell silent, her lips folding in on eachother nervously. "I did lie." she admitted. "Honestly, Aled, please don't drag me into this..." She sighed deeply, staying where she was instead of instinctively backing away. "Why did you even have to bring that ratty thing up on our day off?" she protested. "Yes, the pages within are lies. Yes, I constructed it to try and throw you off the scent. Finally, I lied to you because I wrote two journals, the other is kept hidden. I didn't know which one you had.... Besides, how did you know they were lies?" she asked curiously, carefully plucking the book from Aled's hands and flipping through it. "I was so meticulous..."
Gwyllion thought about it carefully. "That may be.... but saying something 'isn't a safe path' instead of 'eighty-percent of possible Hunters don't make it through the training" is a gross understatement if you ask me. It's misleading. Vagueness isn't something to exploit with allies... You don't have to go into details, but they deserve to know as much about this as possible, Kit. This isn't the old days where people send their kids off to learn, hoping they'll have better lives than their parents... or be able to defend the tribe and bring the family name honor..." he elaborated. "Mor's and Po-ar's firstborn child... they deserve to know. Besides, how is it betrayal if he too didn't reveal clan secrets?" he raised an eyebrow. "That seems contradictory to me."

At the word "chains", the ghost dug its nails bag into Itachi's chest, this time using both hands and whispering "Beline" over and over again.

The assassin grimaced, biting her lip in an effort to keep from crying out. "Get... your nails... our of me... you sadistic... monster!"
~ ~ ~
"Because you wrote that Ainsu remembered what had occurred... when he very clearly did not." Aled replied. "But you are not in trouble, my dear... far from it... especially if you can tell me where your other journal is hidden."

"What if I told you I burnt the other one?" Kaguyo whispered, frowning. "Aled, please.... don't drag me into this, I told you! I've had enough fighting!" she sighed deeply, exasperated as she set the 'false' book down. "I don't want to talk about this sort of thing anymore. I haven't had a day off in years, and now I'm just getting more stressed." she huffed, rolling out of bed and walking over to his dresser. A single shirt of his, given his height, could have easily made a dress for Kaguyo. "Especially after last night, for you to bring this topic up..." she muttered bitterly, "I don't want to get involved anymore, Aled." She didn't turn to face him until after she was in one of his shirts at the very least. "Besides, even if we COULD go back to get that journal, we'd have to go all the way back to Earth.... and manage a way to manuever about unseen... where I had it before was well protected, Aled-kun. I hate to say it but it isn't happening." How much would he believe her now? After the other lies, this one was probably the most reactionary. She really didn't know what else to say. "You know what...?" she sighed deeply, already tense, "Forget it. You go and get done whatever it is you need, because I can already see you're so focused on spending time with me." she snapped sarcastically, "Lounging in bed, and already I'm starting to worry this is going to lead to one of your sadistic interrogations.... not that I haven't been through it before, but believe me, you put me through that again, and there isn't a chance in hell for us. Not one. I will do absolutely EVERYTHING in my power to bring you down if you start treating me like a prisoner and not your wife..." she warned. "I'll do what I can to help you, Aled-kun, but not at the expense of the only friends I have." Despite what had happened last night, this topic almost always got Kaguyo riled up. How could she have fear of Aled when she was so pissed off? She'd probably figure that out soon enough, unfortunately, at least if she wasn't more careful. "You of all people should know what it is to be alone." she softened immensely, sighing as her hands hung limply at her sides. "I can have you... but... but I need friends Aled-kun. I can't be trapped here... nor is it in my best interest to betray either of you. So there it is. I'll be neutral." she glanced to him. "Let me be neutral, please??? Please Aled-kun??" She did look tired, even after a full night's rest---well, if one could really call it that. She didn't sleep very well the night before in truth. "Onegai... I am so sick and fed up of all of this..." she sighed deeply. "Onegaishimasu, Aled-kun."

The Tarnb-jin Ou got out of bed, moving to stand behind Kaguyo. His hands clasped her shoulders tightly... But there was no malice there. "Then be neutral, Kaguyo-chan." Aled replied softly. "All I ask, is that if I am in trouble... you will aid me. Nothing more... Nothing less... Agreed?"

Kaguyo tensed immediately the second his hands touched her; she wasn't sure what to expect. She froze where she stood, listening to his words before finally relaxing a bit. "Alright." she agreed softly, a hand moving over his. "But... but I'm not going to kill anyone." she stipulated. "And to do that would mean you would have to remove my cuffs." Holy crap, he'd bought it??? He actually bought it? "I...I can't believe you're actually springing for this." she whispered. "I thought you'd be angry."
