It was obvious who entered the bar from the sudden onslaught of screaming and otherwise noisemaking in the room. Patience and Defiance bounded through the door, one racing after the other.
"I don't wan' t' be It no more, Duff!" Patience wailed, stopping in his tracks and alternating between crying and panting. He couldn't keep up with his brother. Duff paused in mid-bound and returned to his twin to crouch in front of him.
"I could slow down," he offered.
"I don' wanna run no more!"

Duff looked up guiltily. "We were playin' tag, and then Patience got tired."
"Couldn' keep up," Pat said with a frown as he shuffled over to Kazgoroth and held his arms up. "And I bit my tongue. And I stepped on somethin'." He held up his foot where a loose screw on the ground had been embedded in his heel. The chemicals from the rust wouldn't hurt him, but he could still be infected if the wound was left open.
"Gross," Duff commented, toddling after his brother. "When'd you do that?"
"I dunno."
