To which indeed she wrinkled her nose at that itchy feeling indeed and that annoyed yet loving look to him before a shake of her head. "Sounds like a plan to me." Though she probably secretly dreaded what Kieran may have to say to Malik, especially since she thought she had a good idea on what that might be. "After all, we can't properly make surprising plans if we're all in on it." Said as both her and Fianna were getting up first from the table.
Fianna gave a simle and a little laugh to them both. "Deviltry indeed...the minds of elves when they have a grand celebration to plan, very interesting indeed." Both giving a wave to the boys as they headed off then. "I do hope they behave..." Because Kieran could get childish sometimes that was for sure...and it was infectious.
Kieran nodded to them as they left then turned a look back to Malik that perhaps spoke of issues that weren't so pleasing totally but went hand in hand with the current one. But it was brief and then a gesture to Malik and a nod. "Maybe she'll eventually learn to tolerate it more...just takes time."

Malik leaned back in his seat, some, before getting himself up. the mask of indifference and seriousnes was back up, with a little nod. after all, Fianna's well being and the look Kieran gave made him think more serious matters were afoot.
"In that case, let us head to your room, and we'll talk about things that need discussion, and make our devilish plans."
A hint of a smile at that, getting himself up, servants cleaning off the remenants of dinner, and he gave a gesture for Kieran to lead the way. This were looking good. Zahara, greedy as she was..or spiteful..woudl get exactly what he asked for, and probably form the most expsenive methods. Sevilin was doing whatever Sevilin does, and marriage plans were firmly in the works. Good times indeed.

Kieran nodded again and then got up, one hand rubbing lightly at his slung arm...that still hurt, even despite Fianna patching him up and neutralizing poisons...but that was the way things worked now wasn't it? Thus he took to leading the way back to his room, opening the door and stepping in...sure enough just like last time he was here, all the furnature had been pushed against on wall...with surprising organization and space so that it all fit and was acessessible.
"So then...where do you wish me to start?" He had quite a few topics, one in particular he wanted to touch on but he'd let Malik ask his own things and bring up his own issues on his own mind first."

"You're the expert in this, Kieran. Feel free to begin where you wish. after all, I am the one coming to a new plane, and your customs are well...much more involved than Tier'dal in the area of marriage. So this is your show. if I have any questions, I'll be sure to interject them when they come to mind."
So Malik sat on the bed, one ankle on teh opposing knee, hands on his leg, and waited patiently for Kieran to begin covering the topics and things that needed to be covered.

"Expert hardley. But I suppose knowledgeable enough. I've only attened one elvish wedding and that was when Lateef married Caprice. But aside from personal experience I do know the basics. Ceremony is kept as formal or informal as you like...so if you wanted you could drop all traditions on your part....basically you have your priest or priestess of whomever god or goddess, your guests, there's a few words said, a little symbolic binding ritual that involes hands and ribbons, and then a basic acknowledgement and show of you two being bonded...which is indeed physically made visible. Quite fascinating really...it's common place for marriage to be refused to be acknowleged if there is no communion connection and no bond." A little break and a little breath.
"But there's something more important I want to talk to you about...namely Piper's lineage on the plane...seeing as you know what she is on that plane and what it means if she doesn't publically and officially absolve herself of that status and all that goes with it. Which begs the questions of what if she does and what if she doesn't, and what that means for you."

"So we need to discuss her position as a princess to two kingdoms, what happens if she gives that up...or, what happens if she chooses to embrace that and the privligaes and responsibilities thereof, and how, by marriage, this affects me and any potential standing I may have or not have amoung the Andalian nobilities, correct?"
Grey eyes carefully neutral, the face a serious mask. This was an interesting proposition here. His father had been a minor nobility at best. this was a considerable step up in that area..but that was Piper's choice. wether she wanted that or not. and it would be good to know his limitations, lest she step on anyones toes inadverdtantly.

"Pretty much..." Especially since Kieran had been thinking of his own positions regarding the throne... "Not that me or Fianna would ever make her take one of the positions that are offered to her, but I'm speaking merely in such terms because it's important. You marry her...and that makes you a prince to two potiential places...well three actually. Seeing as she is Bridge." And the term Bridge elf was indeed common these days. "Even if she didn't renounce...we'd still never force her to to anything. Though that potiental to always have opitions open to her is not limited, and thus you as well."
He paced a short time, as he often did when he was explaining. "If she renounced...well then things I suppose wouldn't change too much...she'd just not have her title, and neither would you. Though royalty systems are pretty lax in Andal...well except the high and dark elves, but you know how they both are." A little chuckle at that one.
Now there was a reason to this all as well...mostly because once he or Fianna stepped down then someone had to take over...they could always entrust thier kingdoms to whomever they choose, but family always had first choice. And frankly Kieran had been ruling over his kingdom for quite a considerable amount of time longer than Fianna had. "Doesn't mean you'd be forced to live there or anything if she keeps it...I just...want you to know what it all means...and perhaps get it through her hard head that keeping such distinctions doesn't mean she has to change her life for it, nor conform to anything of the matter at all."

"So. marrying a princess makes me a prince, also creates the potential or a triarchy bridge elf.." A slight grin at that, " And in the event that she keeps her distinction, and either of you step down, we just have first choice at getting rulership. we can pass to another if we want. and that doesn't require us to move to andal or change our ways of doing things."
A smirk.
"That is the jist of it, correct? and I take it you want me to try and get that through piper's head so she doesn't decide to drop teh title the second she gets the opportunity to, and at least think it over?"

"Yes, that would be the jist of it." A slight chuckle from him. "After all, I rule over Lucana and I'm not there am I?" A little half shrug from him, considering his one arm was still messed up. "Just takes someone you trust to be in your seat. Honestly, I've had my own thoughts about stepping down and either giving mine to Piper if she wanted it, or rather to a Rainsong...though what he would do after that, I don't know. His own daughter is just like Piper and I'm sure she'd never take on after Lateef." A fond smile thinking of the little elf with lavendar streaked hair. And why thinking that? Good question to ask indeed.
Then a nod. "And yes, her stubborness on the matter...I never really though she understood what it all meant, and I admit that we were pushing a bit when she was younger...but things change, and most times for the better."

"Familiar words. And often times your right. But...lets say we go to Andal, and the Crest brigade, or Rainsong, or the like find me to be..distasteful. what recourse or pretense can they use agasinst any ceremony or the like being held between myself and Piper?"

"Distasteful is a far cry from a sound reason. You're no threat...besides, your own presence there would be help accountable by myself...maybe Fianna as well, but I would take the responsibility. You'll have no problems with the Crest Brigade as long as you cause no issue...thier loyalty is only to Andal herself, so they are only concerned if you're bringing catastrophe to the land and Crest themselves. Crest loyals don't get involved in Nation affairs if they don't have to. Sort of the neutral, good for all army thing."
"Rainsong...you'll have no quarry with. Loyal as ever to me and more often than not trust my judgment." A little chuckle..."Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if his daughter was smitten with you to a degree." Another laugh from him...that girl. "I can mostly assure you that none will stand in your way of marrying my daughter. And if things...were to go wrong for some reason or another...well I'll just have to throw my royalties around now won't I?" Yeah that fixed that all...hm, anything else Malik needed to understand, the planes crest and divisions maybe. Security systems of magical means and what not.
Fianna walked around Piper, getting a good look at her, judging the way cream colored sheer silk and gold beading suited her daughter. "I think you did a wonderful job...very nice." Indeed elegant...beading done in draping fashion and not overly so. She had to hand it to her daughter, she did good with those types of things. "See, you don't hate all traditions."
"No, I always liked that one." Taking the garment off and folding it, putting it back away in that secret compartment in the back of her dresser...she had those things all over the place. Malik snooped. Smoothing down her clothes once more she ventured into her closet and brought out her notebook and new glove set. "Here, tell me what you think of the idea."
"This that business scheme I've heard so much about?" Flipping open the notebook and reading over the information, looking to the gloves a moment then back to the book. She did have herself an idea here...Fianna's eyes lit up in what seemed to be enthusiasm. An entranced delighted laugh from her. "You can honestly do this? This is brilliant."
"I'm trying to anyway...got the gloves done now I just have to work on the other detail. And try not to get caught by Malik...though I think Broog would keep that from happening if I worked downstairs in his work room." Sure she didn't like to be down there but there were certain sacrifices that one had to make. Taking back both items she put them back in her closet where they belonged.
"I'd definitely like to get my hands on that grand a thing. But onto other things...like your wedding dress perhaps."
A chuckle from her as she came back out and flopped on the bed, Fianna coming to sit beside her and both opening that envelope Malik had given Fianna, both looking over it. "Malik certainly has his wonderful ideas doesn't he?"
"For one who speaks with such affection in his voice, I wouldn't expect any less. Though the wedding dress is out of his hands...I'd say we go with a completely different idea. As for what Malik can wear...well that's your call, you know his style."
"And oh do I love it indeed. A while ago I was wearing my dress and he put on this most dashing outfit...I swear he's just too grand sometimes but in a good way." A nod at the dress idea, it was best. Then she got a little quiet. "A wedding in Andal...mother why are the first bridges built always the weakest?"
Fianna blinked, looking to her daughter as Piper sat up on her knees and Fianna smiled lightly, reaching over and pulling her daughter into a hug. "You're not the weakest...you had a world on your shoulders...it's understandable what happened, did. I pushed you too hard, wanted too much...my life isn't your life." A little sigh. "I'm sure the others aren't angry with you...I don't think anyone is. As your father says...things change, and they have. Things are better now, you're not the only bridge elf, we're not all kept to ourselves anymore...you may of left but you still did your part." Petting gently through her daughters hair. "Though I'm still not happy with you lopping off all your hair, it was so pretty."
She chuckled. "Don't worry, Malik wants me to grow it out and I am."
"You'd do anything for him wouldn't you?"
"Anything. I gave up my world for his, and even let my wanderlust tend to his own needs. Love can walk through fire and face any opposition and win if it has to."
"And now he wants to give it back...how appropriate." A little melodic laugh from her that was soon joined by her daughter's.

A slight chuckle from malik.
"Hmm. another Andalian smitten with me. Well I won't be walking in that particular set of my father's shoes in that department. With that out of the way, and most potential unpleasentries worked around. lets get to teh more entertaining stuff. Now typical to Tier'dal tradition. one commonly wears to a 'wedding', if it can even be called that, the outfits of thier trade. However, As I'm sure the armor of a Shadowknight woudl be rather inappropriate to such an event, I have devised an alternate 'armor' outfit. as well as some others."
A hand laid on Malvolence, and in about five minutes, five servant came to and presented outfits.
the first was the armored one. A striking cobalt blue halfplate, underlaid with dark blue loose pair of pants and a white poet's shirt, overset with a flowing clasping at the unarmored shoulder stormcloud grey cloak.
second was silver, a flowing over the head robe. silver leggings, and boots.
Third, blues again. a flowing blue poet's shirt, into black pants and boots. a silver cloak clasped at the neck, that also had a hood. over the shirt was a black vest.
fourth. awfully familiar. the garb Kieran sported, though in black and silver.
and fifth. That one was Malik's usual finery...after all, Andal was not Norrath or Aura's plane. his normal might be well enough finery for them..if not for personal taste between him and piper.

"Yes well...she likes blue." A chuckle at that and a nod then, that grin that spoke of his amusement and interest on his features as Malik proceeded into more decorative things rather than the technical. "You really did have all of this planned out didn't you? Pip isn't the only one who's been scheming now has she?
That inspecting glance at the choices presented to him. "Hm...well I'm partial to the blue, silver, black combination and the silver one myself. Should keep armor out of the affair altogether, and your...normal fancy as Piper has called it should be kept as it, for normal occassions and what not."
Another chuckle...yes it was quite amusing indeed. "Though I'm sure she'd allow you to wear your sword if you wanted." Wedding affairs...funny how his daughter was getting married before he was.

"good call to both parts. lets go with teh silver, blue and black."
A point to that outfit and they left the room.
"Indeed. between trying to secure fealty of sevilin, as well as keep myself at least afloat in the constantly shifting games of Kimmuriel..this has been onmy mind for some time. Though I confess I am very curious as to what Piper has engaged Broog for. But..outfits aside..suggestions on places, and which might be the easiest to access for extra planar guests, not to mention have the decent skylines for an outdoor wedding. and what might be the best time of day..or evening, whichever the case maybe. or there any celestial events coming? the aligning of more than one moon, a solar or lunar eclipse..any constellations that might have special signifigance?"

Kieran nodded in Malik's apparent agreement. So they both had good taste, go them. "Well, on the main isle of the Tidal Pendant, which is a chiar of islands that from alof look quite like a pendant necklace, called Torea, is where the planes gates are located, in the Sadai Bazaar there. You know, a main commerce site really. I would suggest a location on one of those isles...secluded yet open enough, terrain changes as it works through the seas in corellation with nearby nations."
"As for time of day...that would depend on how soon this wedding were to occur, Andal is in it's winder season at the moment, coming up on it's spring. Middays are rather perfect in those two...summer and autum I would be suggesting evenings." Then that little thinking look for the moment at the other questions.
"Have constalations, but nothing of major importance...your normal elven solsitces and what not according to season, not due for and ellipses or eclipses...really Malik don't try to overdue it or throw in any special things that isn't need....you know how Piper is." Yes both of them knew that particular aspect of Piper.
