It's a Game Boy Advance video game, I don't get a real tank style. All I know is that I've got light and medium tanks, though I'd personally call them medium and heavy, seeing as the larger ones > everything except air units.
I run a sort of a blitzkrieg, and considering I have a commander who allows for unit repair, I can keep injured units around longer and keep pushing. Hit hard and not let up until it's done, works on most stages.
Start with a storm by any air units I have (choppers, bombers, and fighters) and wipe out whatever I can right off, especially focusing on enemy bombers, jets, and artillary.
Then I storm with light tanks and the anti air units because of their high mobility, and cripple them horrible, skipping around their heavy tanks to get first hits on everything and completely wipe out light units.
Follow up with a storm by heavy tanks and foot troops to help clean up and capture cleared cities and unit building compounds. I leave a light force of artillary in my wake incase an event takes place that forces me to fall back, and just keep pounding out medium tanks and anti air, since the larger tanks' only weakness is air units and artillary (and I have plenty of surviving light tanks to take care of the artillary, invariably).
Fear my babbling.
