Ao no Exorcist: Days of Destruction

Back to Guilds

People who play with the lives of others are Gods? Would the Gods really try and use us as Pawns? If so are the Demons the same as us?

I do yoga.. Probably the best thing for me anyways.

Lol. Ed. An extra day off only really benefits Alex/Victor. Hah as most everyone else is busy being Iggy's entourage. P:

I noticed! Mr. Charisma! They'll have a big flip when he starts turning on them!

I mean, most people were urging me to take a day off so they could catch up just because if I would have updated last night it would have pushed me even further. Joushi is the only person in the guild that is near Ignazio's level really.

I know! Freakin' college students!

lol, that doesn't really change anything. I mean I work late nights and have classes all day, and still manage to workout for at least an hour, and this isn't adding in my club activities. As for Fruity, she's pretty busy too...sometimes.

Uh. Koga- It is always going to be like that with how the system currently works. Unless someone starts posting decent length posts probably about 3-4 times as much as you do no one will be able to come close to Iggy or Joushi's level stat wise.

It alright because its up to the person to pick up their posting. Its how much you put in a post too.

I really don't mind it. ^ ^ I like that the system really rewards the active and loyal members.

But I think its unrealistic to expect people to be able to catch up to be on par with the "cream of the crop". Especially when the top players are also taking part in these minor point events. There is always going to be that gap. That is all I'm saying.

This always happens Elinoi, every guild I use a stat system, even when I start off at a low level or Fruity starts off at a low level even if we post with a maximum of 500 words in our posts each and post about 4 - 10 times a day, we still manage to obtain more post than other members in the guild and our stats tend to be among the top 5 members if not taking the top two slots. It's just like Ed says, it's up to the members to increase their posting. Fruity and I both have been very selective in the areas in which we add stats too as well, due to our character types, so that also makes us stronger in terms of character types. Like I said before, people aren't thinking when they update their characters. When it comes to a stats based guild or even in actual anime characters you have to think about the character instead of yourself. No character is going to be 100% masters of every Parameter, they may max out their specific fields and come close to other areas, but really, the areas that are useless to them is a waste in points, so why put points in an area that you really have no use in.

This is also a reason why I originally didn't want to have a stat based system in this guild. To avoid people having the same thoughts you are having now. It is very discouraging and it makes people lose the will to role play, but really obtaining the amount of points we have is relatively easy. Especially if you do figure out small and minor things to gain more points. If activity was higher I'd continue to reward the guild with random points or exp for things just because activity is high, but because activity is low, I'm not going to be doing things like double points for a while, I was actually thinking of doing triple points for a certain period of time in July, but I can't do that because the activity is so low. Also events and missions are another way to obtain points fast, but no one is really requesting mission, or at least not properly.

Well points aren't everything. It shouldn't be played like those Naruto guilds, nothing but a quest to power. There are other weaknesses and strengths to think about and squads to cover those weaknesses.

That's completely right Ed, but the thing is, Ao no Exorcist, really doesn't have a squad based system, it really is kind like you chose random people you think will be good to work with, and you do missions with them or alone and technically I'm already breaking the rules of the actual anime and manga just by allowing Exwires to go on live combat missions, even with a teacher they aren't supposed to go on a live combat mission or anything that could get them killed. So technically they are not supposed to do anything over a D rank, but I think those missions get boring too fast, so I'm bending the true rules rather than completely removing them and creating complete confusion. Squads do show how much one has strength or weakness, so if you have a method in actually making squads to fit the guild I'm all ears, I had to remove the other one because we have a mod vote and it was removed because of that.

I didn't mean to sound like I was insulting/annoyed with the system. I think it works fine. Just sounded like you thought people would somehow catch up to the level you've attained over the short period ^ ^ Which I don't think will happen right away. Over time- sure.

Anyways. I'm sure people will start doing missions once they get a bit more comfortable. As it is more on them to build a team to do it, rather than having a team assigned to them for it.

I think you did a good job replacing that with the npc battle system. In stead of a person playing the enemies, we roll and leave it to chance.

I don't think squads work in an academic themed guild but teams for assignments do like with a project. Either teachers assign them or people just pick a partner or something like that. Not all too permanent and it plays on the actual relationships between the character which promotes a better story and interaction between players.

Well they had 2 weeks at double the normal points. I was absent for a whole week due to being on vacation with my partner, and then I was active for about half a week, and even though I was active for that half a week, I managed to still do more posting than the people who weren't really gone. So I did expect them to close the gap a little. Even in time, the gap will only grow more or it'll close a little. But only time and the rp will tell.

As for the missions and promoting story and interaction, that's what they were designed for. It's a little pain in the a** that it seems I will have to make a demon character soon, because all the demon characters are either good or inactive, and we don't have a real antagonist yet and seeing how my current character isn't at a high enough rank he can't be seen as an antagonist, other than a bully within the school. But that's not really Mission worthy unless I put a price on his head or something.
