Thanks! I was in the Star Wars mood buuuuutttttttt Jedi/Sith avi's are kinda "been there, done that" so I wanted to try out making a trooper/bounty hunter looking avi.. I think I succeeded, even if the chest and arms are actually droid pieces xD
Also Nano-C is freakin expensive.
I want a fresh start too!! Though our little tidbit at the beginning is based on our RP, it's meant to be as general as possible (and even skimming over things) so that we aren't tied down by the past anymore. New characters are more than welcome.
Event Horizon is my choice too. I was going to ask you guys once I was ready to edit the thread with coding. I like that name because of the meaning, the brink of a black hole/point of no return, because that plot premise is always promising in any setting. When a person feels as if there is no looking back they're suddenly freed from any shackled of previous regrets... bit of a babble sweatdrop But I'm hoping it will work to set the mood for any returning characters, too.
THOUGH I HAVE TO DISAGREE ABOUT THE ONES.
I may have even more issue with that introduction than I do with ******** male zabraks on Dathomir.
SephRem I spied on the Test thread. It looks awesome. And we should go with Event Horizon. No more 'Jedi vs Sith'. This is a fresh start. Edit: Also, cool avatar, Robayn.

If anyone is wondering, the test thread is here, and it has the basic setting and rules written up. If you want to get on making a profile, you can do so with the following information fields. Don't bother dressing it up as I'm going to make a fancy code to match the code in the thread so I will apply the coding afterwards.
fill out the following (as many times as you like!):
Character Name:
select one: (Sith, Jedi, Smuggler, Soldier, Diplomat, etc.)
Known Aliases: (any titles or secret identities)
Race:
Specs: (this is where you list a condensed list of your weapon & ship)
Diplomacy: (list characters you are allied with, involved with, enemies with, or rivals with - only player characters)
Personality: (self explanatory)
Description: (this is where you have age and appearance)
Data: (a short, or long, character history)
Also include two quotes to accompany your profile, either song, poem, book, or your own writing. One should be one sentence and the other can be 2-5.

This.... Gets more into specifics about each of our characters, I think, but are we still doing that the location of Tython is a "secret" to all but a handful of people in the galaxy? If so, who (besides Jedi, obviously, duh) should know? Doesn't know?

As it stands it is still only the Jedi, or anyone who has piloted a ship there IC, that have the coords. It isn't information that has been shared (yet), and because of the planet's proximity to the center of the galaxy the coords are nearly impossible to guess even based on the formerly recorded coords because, according to bioware, the coords are subject to changing over time.

Sure, if you want to! I was going to use specific pages for the ships and force powers, but anything else is whatever you think best. Most of what I was going to use is also from the wookiepedia, so if you have other helpful sites we can list them too.

I would take whatever Bioware says about canon with a grain of salt, considering they're making a lot of the canon up as they go (this is the first time, to my knowledge, that this period of history in SW has ever been explored by any group of authors), and I would guess that at least a third of what is now canon as a direct result from that game, has more to do with gameplay and feasability on the part of the developers, than any actual storytelling or narrative purposes. If the RP takes place in a vague point beyond the founding of the New Republic, then whatever happens to Tython between the original KOTOR games and the SW movies is irrelevant, seeing as how we're way past that now.

I was just talking about the coords.. bioware was mentioned simply because of the (logical) reasoning as to why the planet is occasionally "lost"

A root page is best.. last time I checked if you search "star ship" it has a list of types and classes on that page.

Are we doing Hutt Empire or Hutt Cartel? The difference between the two is one is an actual legal body that controls Hutt space. The other (the cartel(s)) is more like what some population of Hutts do that isn't necessarily sanctioned by the Hutt Empire itself, and also, I think, has much farther reach. For example, the Hutt Empire had no authority over Tatooine.
I'll do the cartel, since, apparently, Hutt space was supposedly wiped out by the Yuuzhan Vong.
