Sithorn Loved Morrowind enough to do practically everything, walk around aimlessly in it, and in time buy it for computer to mod it to the teeth. Sithorn's is almost unrecognizeable, but absolutely the same game through and through. "When I mod TES games, I mostly tend to get asthetic mods, with a few that actually add or change content in small ways. I'm not big on things that drastically change the game. ...I should get a screenshot of my modded out Morrowind sometime. I spent HOURS tracking down texture packs for various little things. Though, I was trying to get this thing that makes the water look amazing to work, but for the life of me I couldn't. I'll probably re-attempt someday. When I get into Morrowind again though, I'll probably start fresh to see if there is anything new/better."

Sithorn posted a few of his own here on the guild forum. 'Some screens' under the Morrowind folder.
Yah, not all that fond of massively game-altering modifications, either.

I remember those screen caps now, and DAMN they looking good. I tried to get Morrowind Graphics Extender (MGE) and MGE XE to work, but for the life of me I could not figure it out.
It might have something to do with me running the game off steam. Also I've got some other mods like Rise of House Telvanni, and Uvirith's Legacy. All the files are located in the right places mesh/textures/etc but I still get errors with some things not loading meshes/textures correctly.
I'm sure my laptop could run the texture mods that your running Sithorn, it's just figuring out how to get the damn things to actually work.
What I need to do, which I plan to do this weekend in remove Morrowind from my computer and then re-install for a fresh/clean install. Then maybe I can figure out which mods I would like to keep and which ones I'd like to get rid of. (I've saved all my .zip/.raf/.7zip files so I'll just have to re-extract the mod files later.
Edit: I kind feel that this GUIDE might be my best road map, if you could give it a look and give me some feed back I'd love you long time. smile

Sithorn skimmed this guide, Nerevar. Not one that he used, but it seems fully legitimate. Most of the processes are at any rate the same. The MGE is perhaps the most important step, and the one they recommend is the same. Sithorn does not yet have the mainland installed, but he may look in to it.
Reinstall, yes, but remember to copy your saves and keep them very safe. The reinstall is actually not all that long a process, depending on your computer.
Sithorn's Vivec is a unique modification, and look a lot of extra work. If you want it, you need only ask.
Another thing: you may have noticed the announcement in Scars of Oblivion. Sithorn thought that the concept of a return to Vvardenfel would interest you.

Thanks Sith. Do you have any idea how I can get the MGE to work, since I have the GOTY from Steam all my game data is not stored under the normal Program Files/Beth Software/Morrowind/Data Files, its all under Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Morrowind/Data Files. (or something like that, I'd have to go look to be 100% sure)
I know in the guide it says not to instal the game into the Programs File, but I can't really do much about that since that's where Steam is located.
Speaking of save's Steam backs those suckers up each time you start the game. I know this cuz I wanted to go and delete some saves from a character I created but abandoned to start over. So I took a trip to Google and figured out where the saves where kept, deleted them all, started the game up and low and behold those suckers were still there, Steam re-synced those bastards and put them back into my save game folder. XD Oh well I've been using a system to keep track of which saves go to which character so its not a problem. Though my list of saves is pretty darn long now. XD
As for Vivec, in the guide there was a link HERE that really looks ALOT like your screen cap.
I did indeed see the announcement and went and voted yes. Although from the rules that Jay cooked up I wouldn't be able to bring Neven Telvanni back to Morrowind/Vvardenfel.

That's exactly the mod Sithorn used biggrin Sithorn did not mean unique by making, he meant unique by manipulating. One thing- optional texture for the head in the zip file was flipped for no apparent reason, and the flame took extensive periods of time to implement. Also, minor tweaks to the body texture, personal preference. Try it out, once you've work some of the other issues out. You'll see what this one means, unless it has changed.
Recommendation: Morrowind has no significant online features, and should be able to operate in another directory if you just copy it out. If implemented codes do not allow it to operate, there are tweaks that you can make to the documentation that may help. Sithorn's understanding is that the Morrowind Script Extender is in itself a 'Crack'. Runs the game uninhibited. Otherwise, MGE should work just fine provided that you have access to both the data folder and the primary ini.
Sithorn's is a Disc, but spawned to hard drive the old-fashioned way.
How old is Neven? 50?
He was precisely in place to feature within the time period of the blight, from what is to be understood of his bio. Sithorn misunderstands why there was no mention of it in his background. You could consider it a prequel, an entire generation of study to build upon his experience.

Thanks, right now only my Almalexia has an altered "body." If I can get it to work I'll just follow down the list of what that guide offered, and added what I like. If anything I'll update the Gods to make them look more God like.
-bro fist- Thanks for the recommendation, I'll try that out with my fresh instal, and see what happens.
Indeed Neven is fifty years old, I didn't mention the blight since his tower is in Port Telvannis on the Telvanni Isles, the blight would not have reached that far. If you remember blight was carried on the Ash Storm winds and the Ash Storms never reached Mournhold and from the looks of this MAP, Mournhold is closer to the Island of Vvardenfel that Port Telvannis. Plus there are the Boethian Mountains that act as a shield wall against the Ash Storms from Red Mountain.

All true points,
However:
Being an avid scholar of Dwemer culture, it would have come as a blow to him when the most historically significant and exceptional ruins were rendered inaccessible to him by an event which came into effect during his lifetime. It would be somewhat like an avid anthropological scholar devoted to the ancient Persian or Assyrian cultures entering their graduate studies in September of 2001. Nowhere to go. Does it really matter to them that they are cut off away from physical harm? Their dreams were dashed.
Or to take another matter: the Telvanni have much at stake in Vvardenfel, Sadrith Mora is a major port, barely safe. Tel Fyr (another location inextricably tied to the study of dwemer culture, most notably: the last surviving dwemer, the relics of Dwemer wealth.), hardly a bastion, be it the tallest mushroom tower outside of Telvanni Isles, cut off a grand master of the Telvanni order from the bulk of the mainlanders. Of course, it was he who hermitted himself.
Good luck, good friend, with the modifications. Remember to throw old Sithorn some good screen captures.

"So, my siblings and I finally got a proper set up for a Minecraft server so people can join us, outside a select few. Though it was pretty much just my siblings, my brother's friend and I. It didn't take long for the friend to turn on us and start stealing stuff, then we built up a small fort, which I defended from his attacks. It was fun, makes me want to start up something involving PVP and sieging other people's places and such. Probably never have enough people to actually do it(especially since being in Aus limits the playability of our server). But a man can dream."

Your wise words have moved me, though Vvardenfel isn't the only place that house's Dwemer ruins for Neven to look into, still I have to insert some mention of the blight into Neven's history.
Among the Great House's Telvanni may have the most hold on Vvardenfel, but they being among the most powerful wizards have means of fighting/shielding themselves from the Blight. Oh and Fyr hold the cure, though it was to our knowledge only tested on one person...
Thanks, I'm slowly working down the list, though I had to leave my morrowind stuff inside the Steam files. But I did figure out how...hopefully to get MGEX to work with Steam.

My game is looking damn sexy now, so in love with the hi-res textures on things. Still not done yet, I'll post screen caps once I've finished with all this modded goodness.

Well I got MGE to work, but it's ******** up my water textures or something, they look super wrong. The water looked sexy up until then. Plus for some bloody reason when I try to active the shaders that come with it I keep getting this error message "The shader does not currently compile." My graphics card works with Shader Model 5.0 so it should work with the 3.0 that MGE use's. My card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M. My laptop in theory should be able to run Skyrim, I know it will run Oblivion.
I'm going to play around with this some more, maybe figure this out and fix what's not working.

MGE is not yet efficient. Runs ram-devouring processes. Skyrim runs better on Sithorn's laptop than his morrowind, that's only when he pisses about with high-power shaders. He thinks of it as screenshot mode. It still does work, never crashes.
Looking excellent so far, Nerevar. Vivec looks wonderful, Sithorn sees that the modification worked very well. He does not understand why it was as it was when he tried it himself.
