Demetri rolled his eyes and sighed. However, something seemed off. He looked around. "Did the boys say what they were doing today?"
Damian had heard the footstep, too, and he hopped up quickly, moving so he was between the noise and his younger twin. "You go first," he hissed at Hakaru, eyes narrowed as he watched the shadows around the area.
Otosan chuckled as he left the shadows, staring at his grandchildren with a severe expression. He raised his hand, surrounding the three of them with thick ice walls that the boys wouldn't be able to burn down. They'd have to fight him, and he planned to win.

Lunora could sense it as well and her stomach started to ache a little. "Demetri, we need to find them. He might be back." she said urgently, grabbing his hand and following her sons' scents.
Hakaru was about to run when the ice cornered them. "B-Brother, what do we do?" he whispered shakily, hiding behind Damian before studying the walls. They looked very thick, but not tall. And to boot the tree was up there. Something to grab on. He then whispered very quietly to Damian in a language they had made up as children. He hoped Damian still remembered.

Demetri followed Lunora quickly, and stopped short of a huge block of ice walls. He hit one with his palm, and glared at it. "Fireproof. But those two are resourceful. Hopefully they can get out, Otosan will be forced to show himself, and we can get rid of them." He looked over his shoulder at the castle and closed his eyes, calling out for Jethrow. Within seconds, the older wizard stood by their sides.
Damian heard Hakaru, and nodded, understanding the plan perfectly. "I'll distract him, you get up the tree. I can get out after," he said in their language, taking a few steps closer to the strange man, who admittedly looked a lot like their uncle Luke.

Lunora nodded some, calling for her brother as well, who also arrived quite quickly. Luke then tried to work on the ice, trying to break it.
Hakaru shook his head some, gripping his brother's shoulder some. "No no brother. Listen to me. Remember. Back a few years ago. I boosted you up, and you grabbed my hand. We both made it up to that banister. Now I think it's time to repeat that." the younger boy replied in the same language, glancing to their grandfather.

Demetri and Jethrow walked around to other ice walls, trying to figure out what else could be done to the ice.
Damian frowned. The plan wasn't foolproof, and though he remembered their success, he wasn't sure whether he should go with it not. After all, it had been mostly luck. He sent a worried look over his shoulder at Hakaru. "What if you slip?"
Otosan rolled his eyes at the babbling idiots and advanced, swinging his sword at the one in front and smirking as the boy jumped backwards. The two twins were clearly well-trained.

Hakaru moved back as well. "We'll just have to pray it works then! Now come on! We don't have much time! We're running out of room back here!" the younger prince said urgently, getting ready to launch Damian into the tree.

Damian frowned, but he finally gave in. "Fine," he muttered, turning and getting ready. He concentrated himself, knowing he'd have to grab Hakaru quickly if this was gonna work.

Hakaru gulped some, cupping his hands and bending over. "Now, Damian!"

Damian nodded and ran towards Hakaru, letting his brother launch him up. He grabbed onto Hakaru's wrist as he started to fly up, and his legs went over the wall. He looked up to make sure his twin was going to get over, as well.
Otosan growled angrily and ran after the two boys, creating ice steps and climbing up. He reached for the younger one, who wasn't quite over the wall yet, and grabbed the end of his long red braid.

Hakaru had managed to grab a branch just as his grandfather had grabbed his braid, making him cry out and his eyes well up a little. But he grabbed one of his pocket knifes and sliced off the end of his braid, getting out of Otosan's grasp and climbing higher with his brother to safety.
Lunora heard her son cry and that made her angry. She quickly transformed into her fox form and bounded over the walls and batted Otosan from her children. She growled defensively, standing between her father and her sons, not going to let him pass.

Damian glared at their grandfather as he made sure Hakaru got up to safety. He watched as their mother went down to meet the other man. He took Hakaru by the elbow and helped him skid down the wall to where their father and uncles were.
Demetri had heard the cry from one of his sons, and he'd summoned Anya immediately. When the two princes slid down the ice wall, Demetri went forward, checking them both over himself and urging them to let Anya make sure they were fine. He heard Lunora growling on the other side, and he wanted to go over, as well, but knew he might get in the way.
Otosan smirked at his daughter. "I see your injury didn't impair you by much. Don't expect that to last much longer, though," he snarled, preparing his sword.

Lunora changed back to her human form, readying a sword of her own, snarling. "Don't be so sure. I actually have something worth fighting for."

Otosan snapped his fingers, and dozens of ice needles began to fly at Lunora from various places around the walls. An icy cold fire burned in his eyes as he replayed his daughter's words. "And I'd have something to fight for, too, if you hadn't ripped her away from me!!!"

Lunora quickly dodged the needles, looking to her father. "You cannot keep blaming me for her death!" She growled, sending blasts of fire at him.

Otosan deflected the fire as best he could, but he hadn't realized that these years he'd spent only recovering, Lunora had grown stronger than him. He kept a good bluff up, though, and fought back against her. Until, finally, the battle began to wind down, and the old wolf was losing miserably. Perhaps he'd finally join his love, Kisame, in the afterlife.
