Hotaru had stopped to gaze up at the crest that filled up the sky of the city. "Heh....now. To send a message....." He gave a wicked grin before throwing a fireball at the portion directly above him, causing it to ignite. "That's just how things go......play with fire......and that fire will burn you to ash..." He smirked as he started walking back towards Merlin's house, leaving the crest to burn as he went. 'Who'd a thought being destructive could feel so damn refreshing?' He gave a relaxed sigh as he continued on.

Merlin stepped outside his door and looked up at the burning crest. A sighed escaped his lips and he shook his head. 'As much as Anna needs to be around Hotaru, I think he needs to be around her more. Especially outside of here. He can see exactly what a destructive life is like, where it leads.' A knowing smirk crossed his face as big, gray thunder clouds started to tumble in, a storm very, very soon in the coming. He looked back down at the street, wondering where Hotaru could be. 'If only Anna was where now, she's also the person I send out, especially when it's beginning to rain...'

He stopped to glare at the storm for a brief moment. "Right......" He sighed and started walking once again. "Yo!" He called out once he caught sight of Merlin. "Just letting you know I'm only grabbing a snack, then it's back to training for a little longer here, then I'm gone." He shrugged. "Can't stay around forever." He gave a sad smirk. "Anyways, whatcha doing outside when the weathers bout to go all messed up?" He asked as he passed by the man, and strolled inside.

Hotaru shrugged. "Good for her." He opened the fridge. "Probably best to stay away from me while I'm doing this training anyways." He pulled out a bottle of water, and couple of peaches. "Anyways. Like I said. Little more training, and I'll be taking off myself. So, that leaves all of Radiant Gardens in your, and Leon's care when he wakes up." He smiled before taking a bite out of a peach. "Should she come back before....I do. Tell her, 'thanks', for me, would ya?" He turned, and shut the fridge. "It would've been nice, but fire an water just don't mix, ya know?" He looked at the man, and smirked lightly. "But she's still a dear friend, and all that crap, so yeah. Training time." He started to walk past him.

Axel couldn't help but roll his eyes inside Italia. "Fire and water don't mix my a**." He grumbled, blinking at the blond who had fallen asleep in Italia's lap. His eyes widened in a moment of 'O~h-s**t what do I-do-ItaliaHelp!' Before she told him to just told him to leave her, before muttering something about him being a hopeless child.

"Interesting. How much you've change and yet how much of a fool you still are. Her just leaving you is a stupid thought. She probably has her eyes on you now. Search the shadows hard and you'll see a glimpse of something you think might be it. She cares deeply for you, loves you even, despite what she has said or done. All she needs is time. The Heartless can really mess a person up, no need to tell you that. Although it seems your feelings are becoming indifferent. That's okay, just know that she will always need you, maybe as much as you need her." A smirked played on his face. "Funny though, the comment about how water doesn't mix with fire. That just might be why she hates water so much." Lightening cracked and Merlin eyed the window. "Good thing she isn't here now. She would have the most horrible fit over the weather."

He just nodded. "Her an me both. Suppose I could consider this more heavy duty training then I prefer....." He gave a light sigh, and shook his head. "Like or hate water. If you use it, you're much to similar to someone I've decided needs to die." He shrugged at the last bit. "And water leaves a bad taste with me. Nothing but horrid feelings." A sliver of dark energy ran across his eyes, changing them temporarily. "Guess when it comes to him.....well I've still got a long way to go. Also, I'll send notice when that man's gone. When you get that, you'll have to tell Leon, 'Sorry, but you just weren't on our level.', for me. Hopefully he wont take me killing that b*****d to hard. I'm sure like me, he's Squa....Leon's top prey." He shook his head. "Maybe a nap before more training. Seem's I was about to let a secret slip, which just aint my style." He was smirking, as he went over by Leon, and laid on the floor. "If you happen to hit me while I'm sleeping, I wont take it too personal. You know, with the whole almost killin ya thing." He said it with a little remorse showing through in his tone. "Anyways, I'm calling it a day for a couple of hours." He called out. "And wake me up when Zero, or Phantom show up. I gotta discuss training." He was talking to everyone at this point, but as soon as he laid his head down, and shut his eyes, a light snoring could be heard if you listened hard enough.

Merlin Looked down at the sleeping boy. A sigh escaped as he shook his head. Hope Anna wasn't watching... The thought trailed off and he did the same, busing himself.
Anna, in fact, had been watching inside of her gummy ship. Silent tears slid down her checks as the orb jumped down and rolled away. She leaned forward, on the controls, and rested her forehead on her fingertips. "Useless, evil element!" she hissed. "Why did I have to be cursed with you?" Her mind wandered to try to think of anything that would make her feel better; there was one. How badly she wished Hotaru would take her close in his arms again, and just make everything go away. Somehow she knew, in the back of her mind, that that would probably never, ever happen again. Oh how she missed him... She flung herself straight as the tears boiled away. "What are you doing Anna!? Getting so emotional over a... boy?" She hissed the last word. Her eyes became hard, like a dark cave, and the air around carried an unbearable chill as she tried to separate herself from her emotions. But despite this she could still feel her heart breaking. Not for Hotaru, but for all the people she knew was killing inside for doing this.
((Oh, thank you King! 3nodding Okay, since you brought it up and the question interest me greatly, does anyone else feel incredibly weirded out on their birthday because they are getting tons of attention when they didn't do anything? Or is that just me?))

Axel settled back disregarding the blond asleep across his knees. ‘Italia…’ He concentrated folding his arms over his chest. In a moment the world faded to different room, he could tell it was a room because despite the scenery, the serene setting that clawed at his imaginary heart. It was a beach, that’s waters only went out so far until one met a wall, painted to appear to stretch out to the horizon. Behind him was a forest of thick pine trees, also painted. He cast his eyes around, as always at the far end, elbow deep in ocean water was a small girl her nose pressed against the wall you couldn’t tell was glass until you were that close, her dark brown hair in pigtails. He turned away, to cast a glance over his shoulder where a piece of the forest had been dislodged revealing a wedge of warm light. He snorted at the piece of drift wood and twine that hung off the simple silver knob of the door, painted with simple black font reading “Axel’s Broom Closet." Leave it to Italia. Speaking of which, he turned again, finally finding the actual girl sitting an iron garden table, its surface a lovely floral pattern, and two matching chairs [one of which she occupied]. On the table sat a vase of flowers, ferns, stargazer lilies, peonies and yellow roses. He also noted the appearance of red Camilla blossom since he had last been here. On the table sat a note book and a box of pencils with a withered sprig of mint beside a lose Camilla. Above the table arched an arbor of wisteria and following it down to the right it began to tangle with one of the few true trees in the room. The one that a cork board filled with pictures was nailed to the trunk. Underneath sat eighteen stacks of twelve notebooks each, the first five or six stacks were all clean and obviously not written in while the others were all bent, pages dog eared and stained. No two of the notebook covers, though for the most part all relatively simple [in contrast to the couple sitting on the table.] were the same, and some were distinctly more worn out then the others.
“Is something the matter Axel?” He swiveled his head back to look at her. She was dressed in a light summer dress, and sandals befitting the beach setting. On her nose sat a pair of red framed glasses that he knew she didn’t need. She tapped the blue ice cream bar to her lips. “You don’t usually come in here.” She said tucking the yellow pencil behind her ear. Axel walked over, feeling the sand shift beneath the soles of his boots. He himself was aware of the sharp contrast he was in to this place. Holding his old form again he stood tall, spined hair matching the brilliant red color of the Camilla’s on the table. His long heavy black coat, though open over his jeans and green shirt still seemed to cast a grim void over the soft warmth here. Italia cocked her head. She’d only seen his real form once, when he had first taken up refuge within her. It caught her off guard really. She never forgot he was a guy, or that he was formidable, but something about seeing him in his own form just made it crash down on her again. She absently bit off the tip of her ice cream watching his long legged gait. She guessed it was his eyes. Never really knew green could invoke that kind of feeling. The most frequent associations with the color were like, growth, jealousy, wealth, sickly. This green was not any of that. It was powerful, dedicate, relentless. They showed the smoldering burn of his powers, weighted and she would imagine unsettling to anyone who didn’t understand how gentle, loyal and sometimes adorably naïve he could be at times. Axel, had power, and intelligence, he was sneaky, slippery and manipulative as hell, but it didn’t change that at his core, he was still missing some vital things about existence. It made him awkward and seem a little more like a child to her.
“Stop analyzing me, Italia.” He said having stopped behind the chair across from her. She blinked. No wonder he complained about her being slow when his normal pace allowed him to cross a distance in half the time it would have taken her. He tipped his head to one side. “You’re doing it again.”
“Sorry.” She apologized granting him the permission he had been waiting for to sit down. “What’s up?”
He sat back stretching his legs crossed at the ankle as she folded his arms over his chest. He cast a look over at the little girl still pressed against the furthest glass wall. “She ever gonna move?” He asked.
The dark haired girl scowled. “Probably not.” She said snapping off another piece of the ice cream that seemed unphased by the warmth of the room. “Is that what you came to ask?” She furrowed her brows.
“No.” He sat forward staring at her intently. “You told Jistin and Anna both you intended to travel with them.”
“Yeah? So?”
“So are you sure that’s a good idea?”
She shrugged “I don’t see why not. They’ll probably be using gummi’s which, if you ask me, beats stumbling blindly through corridors neither of us can control all that well.” She shrugged again laying the now bare popsicle stick on the table thoughtfully. “Besides, aren’t those things supposed to be bad for you anyway?” She looked up at him in time to see him twitch. “And it’s not like it’s gonna harm our quest any.” She scowled at the look on his face before flicking her eyes to the mint sprig that seemed to be reviving in his presence. “Why?”
Axel leaned forward setting his elbows on the edge of the table, pressing his mouth into the side of his interlaced fingers. “They make me nervous.” He said softly.
Italia’s amber eyes squinted at him. “Zero, makes you nervous.” He lifted his eyes to hers. “Ever since she showed that second spirit you’ve been skittish around her.” She cocked her head, gaze soft. “Like it’s... painful.” He shifted uncomfortably sitting back again. “Axel?” she coaxed.
The redhead sighed running a hand through his hair. “Let’s just say I’ve seen this before.”
“Really? Is there a way to help her?”
His green gaze narrowed. “Okay, let me rephrase. I’ve seen something similar.” He corrected. “Same circumstance very differently handled.”
Italia scowled in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“This didn’t start with Zero.” He stated. “And it won’t end with her either. Unlike me, who dies with you, when Zero’s time runs out that thing inside her will merely find another host and reside there until that one reaches it end. On and on till time itself stops.” She stared. “How do you know that?” Axel returned her gaze, hesitating to answer before sighing and looking away to the paint horizon and the little girl still pressed to it. “I knew her predecessor.”
[[O.O I think I just topped my previous post….]]
[[There’s a crap load of symbolism here, but I’m going to at least point out the flowers. And mind you I got the meanings of these from several sights sooo they might not be the same as what you’ve heard. Red Camilla: Your flame in my heart. Fern: Magic, fascination, Confidence and Shelter. Stargazer Liliy: Ambition Peony: Healing Yellow Roses: apology, a broken heart, intense emotion, dying love, extreme betrayal Wisteria: Stead fast Mint: suspicion.]]

((Holy crap, Chaos! How do you continue to be so amazing? If ever I had motivation to go to college... And now your independent post has got my creative juices going, giving me the perfect excuse to procrastinate! How 'bout some Sir and Sarah? Thanks for the inspiration, amazing Chaos!))
The tavern seemed to be a popular place, because, despite the humble size of both it and the town, it was filled up to the brim with people. Although small, the town seemed to be thriving, creating a cheerful and light atmosphere in the cramped room. There was singing and drinking and laughter that was contrasting the scowling waitress and the pretty young girl dressed completely in black in the corner. The waitress was avoiding the girls companion like the plague, after all, who wanted to be hit on by some creepy middle age man? Sir, although he would never admit it, had that kind of affect on women. Sarah sat there, looking over the stomach churning scene with her glacier eyes, while Sir, all except for his black rope and pants, fit perfectly into it. Sarah looked over at him with disgust as he mirthfully bobbed his head to the local folk song being sung. He noticed her distasteful stare and threw a charming smile at her. "And what have I done now, my dear?" She tried to freeze him with the ice in her stare, but his joyful indifference kept him as warm and cozy as the tavern. "Have you forgotten about Hallow Baston already?" she seethed with a raised eyebrow. Sir gave a light chuckle. "Oh, love, are you still on that?" "How could you just leave her there?" "How did you find out it was her anyways?" "The boy, he called her A." Sir chuckled and then commented, "Ah, yes, Bobby's little pet name for her. Speaking of, Anna called him Hotaru, correct? Speaking of Hotaru, could you see that there was a thing between them as well?" Sarah glared at him. "A strained thing." Sir laughed. "Yes, I thought so. And there I was mentioning Bobby and not even specifying how they were just friends, or even that they were both girls who didn't go that way." He smiled at the thought. "How, how I do hope I stirred things up. It would be extremely entertaining." "You didn't answer the question," Sarah reminded him. "Ah, yes. Why did I leave the prize of the Heartless organization back in Radiant Gardens? Even if I did report it and someone had managed to capture her, she would have never cooperated. They made sure of that when they made that horrible mistake. It's the reason why she left and the reason why she will never come back. So might as well let her be, and make a life that can try to imitate being normal." "I didn't know you cared so much about her," Sarah said with a hint of disgust in her voice. Sir moved in such a way that the distinct sound of munny of could be clearly hear. "For right now, I do." Sarah looked down at the table, all sorts of idea twisting around her mind. "I wouldn't do it," Sir warned. "What?" Sarah bit back. "Going rouge and reporting Anna yourself. You do realize you'd have to tell them everything that happened. Including your little fight with her bo." "So? Why should I care about that trader?" "It's not him you should be worried about. They wouldn't like hearing you could take his attacks without so much a blink of an eye. That makes you a threat. They don't like those, remember Bobby?" "But I'm completely loyal to them! And besides, if Hotaru couldn't defeat me, and he has the same power, how can they?" "Probably the same way Anna has figured out." "What?" "Did you not see her face when you took off the hood of her cape? She despises you, Sarah. You ruined everything for her. She wants you dead. And you can bet she already knows how." "But I didn't even show her everything!" "It doesn't matter, you showed her enough. After all, she is the prize and joy of the organization." "Why?" she sneered angrily. Sir looked into space, confused. "I don't know," he commented casually as he shrugged his shoulders. "Must be something special though, something she probably doesn't even realize about herself. It's rumored that why she is so sought after is because she's Plan B." "Plan B? Why do they need a Plan B?" "In case Plan A should fail." Sir looked at her as if the answer was completely obvious. "But how could that be? How could she be Plan B?" Sir shrugged once more. "I don't know. As I said, there must be something special about her."

Merlin looked down at the sleeping Hotaru. He nudged him with his foot. "It's time to wake up, boy. Anna's out there all alone with who knows how many people looking for her and that makes me nervous. The sooner you train and leave the better. And I mean that in the best way possible."

Zero lay back on the roof staring up at the sky. Every single one of those stars was another world, that Hotaru was gonna traipse across in search of his enemy family. But that wasn’t really her concern. She closed her eyes. ‘What happened?’ She asked.
She was answered with a groan ‘What?’
‘What happened to you?’ Zero repeated. ‘When you were working with Hotaru you changed Phantom. You weren’t just acting differently, you were different.’
She was answered with a moment of silence. ‘Leave me alone, I’m trying to sleep.’ And she retreated back to her little corner of Zero’s being.
‘Oi! Not so fast!’ Zero shouted following her in. ‘I’m not done talking to you…yet…’ She froze.
The environment was a room, which once could have been a bedroom, but was now abandoned. The bed with the colorful quilt, rumpled sheets and lumpy pillows, with e few stuffed animals having strewed about the bed. The desk has a text book open and a note book with the homework half completed, the pencil laying in the valley the spine of the text had created. The desk also held a lamp, a line of other texts and a collection of photos to dusty to tell what they were of. The laundry basket was full, and there were a few t-shirts and jeans scattered over the floor. There was a book case covering the entirety of one wall full of novels, mangas. Movies, a few CDS and more dust obscured photos. From the ceiling hung paper stars, she couldn’t guess what color they had been they were so dust covered, and spider webs had been spun in-between them. Next to the bed hung a set of curtains, over what seemed to be a set of French doors. The little light that shone through the curtains was the only light in the room that seemed to have just been frozen in an instance.
Zero looked over the corner between the book case and the desk, meeting Phantoms glowing gaze. She didn’t look the same. Her eyes had taken on a much less saturated color. They were more like an antique gold now then a harsh yellow, and even in the dim light she could tell red had been introduced into the Entity’s one void black hair. “What is this place?”
Phantom cast a look around the abandoned room with a look equal parts bitter scorn and nostalgic grief. “This is me…” she stated. Her voice sounded off.
“What do you mean this is you?” Zero demanded stepping forward there was a crunch under her foot, looking down she saw glass shards glittering, imbedded in the once lush carpet she guessed had been a cream color.
“This is me.” She repeated with an absent wave around the room. “All the indication of a life, but none of it actually there.” She scowled at it.
The white haired girl stared; she felt incredibly young and naïve suddenly. “Who are you?” she asked quietly.
Phantoms ancient eyes turned back to her. “Better question.” She said. “Who are you?”
Zero blinked taken aback. The spirit shrugged off the wall and walked past her pushing open the bedrooms door that was behind the white haired girl. It swung open on a beach. Zero hesitated before walking out onto it.
She recognized it instantly. “The play island?” She asked breathlessly.
It was indeed the play island, the one all the kids of Destiny Islands spent most of their free time on. But it was like the room they’d just come from, dingy and frozen in time. Literally. Just to her left she saw Sora and to her right Riku, just as she had last seen them, frozen mid run down the beach, Kairi lagging along behind them. She past them, they were like statues but… The girl timidly reached out and brushed at Riku’s long silver hair. The strands shifted and moved, felt like hair, not stone. She jumped back scanning the area wildly. Up on the docks she spotted Selphie in her usual place mooning over the romance of the ledged of the paupu fruit, past her, Waka and Tidus practicing their beloved Blitz ball, she ran past them all to the spot where. She froze. There sat Jistin, two, maybe three years younger, frozen where she sat in the sand looking out to… Her heart stopped and approached slowly.
A young girl, close to Jistin’s age, with waist length snowy white hair, pulled back in a messy braid stopped in the middle of wrestling with a slippery fish, her eyes a pretty cerulean blue, determined but happy. Tsubasa. Herself from years ago. Zero fell to the sand, shaking.
“It’s quite the shock isn’t it?” Phantom asked walking up behind her. “Facing yourself.”
Zero’s fingers curled around the sand as her teeth ground together; a second later she had stood up and whipped around slamming her Keyblade against Phantoms. “What the hell is going on!?” She shouted as the ancient entity easily shoving her back. Phantom didn’t answer, merely narrowed her eyes as the younger girl charged again. Phantom lashed out, a swift kick to the girl’s abdomen sending her crashing back into a tree. The impact of the girl’s body hitting the tree caused one of its star shaped fruit to come loose and fall to the ground, shatter into millions of little yellow and green pieces like glass.
Zero stared at it horrified. “You’re not like the others Tsubasa.” She looked back up to where Phantom stood directly in front of her, the wicked looking Keyblade having disappeared. She crouched down to Zero’s level. “You have a chance. Like I did, to correct what’s been wronged.”
Zero’s mismatched eyes narrowed. “Who are you?” she demanded again. She was Phantom, but she wasn’t.
The older woman crinkled her nose and leaned in whispering in her ear. Zero gasped and sat straight up panting. She only took a moment to recover before jumping down and running. The door to Merlin’s house snapped open, slamming into the wall behind it like it had been kicked open. Zero, very wet from the rain marched in not bothering to close it after her. “Merlin.” She snapped speed walking up to him. “Merlin, what can you tell me about a girl who use to live here? Emmalie, she would have been about eighteen when the Heartless conquered and turned this place into the bastion?”
She didn’t notice Axel’s eyes fly open and him tense on the couch behind her.

Hotaru's eyes flicked open for a second, just long enough to glare at Merlin. "You realize this is the first nap I've gotten since......" He closed his eyes as he sat up. "Since I do believe I got back from the meeting with the king." There was a little sadness in is voice. "And that was like, what two, three days ago?" He shook his head and gave a sigh. "I'm actually kinda surprised with myself. After all that I was able to last at least a couple of days with no sleep." He smirked. "Just gotta fine tune everything now, and lay into anyone who pisses me off." He dropped the smirk, and gave a sigh. "And I thought remembering one persons name was already a pain....Now we got, what Zero, Phantom, Ital.......Azel....." He threw his hands up. "This is gonna be a real drag...." He stood up, and leaned on the nearest support.
