The presence you carry is of the typical substance which most men feel attracted to because of the nurturing and caring persona. All men feel a subconsious, or consuous, need to be tenderly cared for, and you seem to be crediable in this reguard. The reputation you are gaining makes you appear to be the ideal mother, and wife. Other things, such as the way you carry yourself in a conversation also leads these ment o believe that the ycan provide you with the protection they believe you so dearly need. They feel that you would allow them the privlege to protect you with their strength, in a way, they are using you to make themselves feel strong.
Your tender heart and their esteemed nature creates the affection.
((I should tink about this question more, as to provide more ample proof of this theory... perhaps a longitudninal study is necessary in order to fill in the assumptions with actual proof... yes... that would be interesting, so Nailah, how do you feel about being observed for 10 years to figure out why so many men love you?))

*Strolls in favorite hat on head and favorite cigar in mouth* You do realize dear elf that you're starting like a head book, couldn't it just be that we fell in love for the sake of falling in love, why must we always try to find explanation for everything? Why must we try to engineer love?

Take a stance, defend it. That is how you write essays. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong, what matters is how you prove it.

I speak only for myself, but the need to protect is far too simple an answer for a man to fall in love, there are greater forces here at work and trying to explain them is ultimately futile, the only patch let is to accpet of regret the advances of another, and know that whatever path you choice the other must such is the battleground known as love fight to keep her, or fight to forget. We will suffer, such is the path that we have chosen, and the fact that Cymarron is going to try and off me ain't going to make things any better.

*backs the Az theory*
We explain love because it can be explained. But these things are just the start of real love; which has to be built by the relationship itself. Its not just *BOOM* I love you forever!

*thanks Severed*
Elias, I have to agree with Saradin on this, real love is in the relationship, not a force out side of it.
We have many english words for such impulses, and few of them have positive connotations or denotations.
Then again, I am and always have been a diehard romantic.

*Nods in agremeent* Real love is a rareity greater than any man can know, I think that kind of love as Sarading says does not grow overnight, it need to be reinforced not only by the adoration and love of another, but by the hatred as well. There is a ultimate truth in the Old french expression, "L'Amour c;est la gurre." Love is war, because ultimately it is, tears and blood must be shed in the pursuit of these ultimate of states, but such because true love takes time to grow does not mean that love spawn from infuation is not a valid emotion, merely love in its most infant of stages.

Only continuing the age old tradition.

You must remember one thing, Elias shot his last wife in the back in the head with his own buller. He has yet to understand and grasp the concept of true love, he is offends confuses his baser insticts for love and it is fact that has taken him down many a uneven path in life, Much like myself Elias is often relegated to statues of "bestfriend, lover and confidant" but never once has he felt true love not like he did with Magdalena, but even then there was not enough time for ELias to understand these things and so ultimately he must fall back on what truths he has been afforded and hope that more will be shown when he is ready to see them.

It's rather cute. *adds in her two cents*
See infatuation and rose-colored glasses go together. You can't truly love someone deeply and forever until you've let it build. It doesn't come overnight and that's why when you have it you should always cherish it. Personally I'm a diehard romantic too and I beleive that there is someone out there for everyone. I also believe that infatuation is confused way too much with love. Love makes you scream inside. It makes you want to hit and kiss the recepient all at the same time, especially when that recepient is in my case and those of the female gender, male. But ultimately it makes you want that person to be happy no matter what. You'd be willing to die for that person. At the same time I have to point out that since we are speaking of not one specific type of love, it is possible to love someone instantaneously. Mother and child is a good example of this.
