There it was. not to bad at all for a first bid there.
"Interesting. lets take a look, shall we. the destruction of your private property, the chainmail has been repaired, hardly destroyed. your conflict caused damage to the lands I own, and your conflict with Jaraxle is typical in Drow nature, not something I need to be responsible for. You own actions against Kieran have cause him considerable injury with your poison. And you other damage to your home is not my fault, as you were offered residency here and chose otherwise. I cannot be liable for damage to a home not on my lands. However, I will concede to energy usage and the life shortening experiences, as using your runes in the manner that I have asked have caused your body phyiscal damage."
Malik tapped his finger to his chin.
"I'd be willing to add a 150% bonus for that, in light of the repairs to my lands and that fact that much of your complaint is beyond my control."

As per was her behavior, and after nagging and general rough prodding to his person, Fianna had finally decided to let him have a break and was back to gentle and loving motions, as were her nornmal mannerisms. "I don't like you two down here at all. We all know he wants to kill you."
"But he hasn't." And that was the important fact to keep in mind. But he had let her continue in her doings, not complaining. After all, hey it was time with Fianna, which was valued as precious as gem stones.
"Don't worry...Malik wouldn't let him. You'd be surprised." That said she turned to the door and opened it. "I'll leave you two to yourselves, and I'll naturally be expecting you at dinner. Can't covet away in here the whole time." And thus she left the room, pulling the door closed and headed to her own for a moment. Pulling her notebook out of her belt where it had been tucked away, she walked to her closet. Where she noticed the case that was sitting on top of her stashed away plans. Picking it up, she opened it, only to have the gold inher eyes flick in pleased manner and a smile over take her features. Oh yes, very pleased...Broog could do such work. And what the hell, taking them out she pulled them on, admiring them a moment. Oh yes, this was definately going ot be worth it. And the case was put back where she had got it. Oh why not let Malik wonder a little upon sight of them.
Haggling, joy. "I wouldn't call it damage, you have a rather nice sized fresh water and underdark critter free lake now on your own property. Kind of a perk. And what is between me and Silvercrest is as I told Zahara, our business." He paused a moment, considering his offer.
"I still call the lake an improvment, not needing a pay dock for repair." Besides, his own runes, before they were more or less taken from the place told him interesting things, like the little surface thing's like of water.And then a gesture to Zahara. "Not to mention the lessons for her, hazards included in that. One seventy-five."

Well she had to admit they both had their points. But a mere incline of her head, "You're welcome." Then another tap of her nails and she raised an eyebrow to see Malik's response to his newest price. Seh wanted to say something about him and his lessons and the reason it was so hazardous was his own damn fault. "Not to mention your own machinations and underhanded tactics. I'd be asking for quite a bit from being forced into something by my boss...." Referrin gof course to the drugging that led them to sleepin together.

"A lake free of underdark critters only so long as they don't notice a brand new lake. and it weakens the structure of underground additions to my home, hence it is a hinderance as those places now need to be refortified just in case of possible collapse or water damage."
Then a glance at Zahara. hmm..should he really rub that in? a slight drumming on Malvolence.
"Exactly what hazards have come from teaching her? And don't start with that one night's rather enjoyable pleasure. and don't deny that either, you can't lie to me on it. either way, you come up with the dangers..or shoudl I just dock you for the female company?"
Yeah, that woudl piss Zahara off. but still. a haggling point is a haggling point.

"Well I do hope you wouldn't let things nest in it...what with those horses so close by as well as various staff." But alright, he'd give him the lack point, however a look between him and Zahara, though letting red eyes come back to rest on Malik. "She's learning to rune, that's a hazard in itself...mistakes made, potientially life threatening rambles to go on for learning purposes, general runic mayhem." See? He had legitimate reasons. It wasn't easy to teach nor test. "One sixty five."
Piper was standing just around the doorway, listening to them haggle about prices and what not, Zahara throwing in her occassional two cents. Though a frown as Zahara mentioned the forcing of certain things. Well that was interesting now wasn't it, listening them all being civil while in one room. Piper didn't think she'd ever seen that before.

Dock him for the female company? That was the most ridiculous thing she'd ever heard. After all, what an elf did for pleasure was his own business and not to be picked apart by his emplyer. Not to mention the fact that whether it was his choice or not, Malik wouldn't even have known about it if it wasn't for that damn sword of his. But sensitive ears caught a twitch and Zahara stood up rather quickly, spun around, and raised an eyebrow at the surface elf. "You. Me. Outside. Now." Then by way of explanation she shrugged, "We need to talk."

Malik sat for a moment in abit of quiet, contemplating.
"We have an accord. one sixty five bonus to your usual pay for extra services and damages."
One hand rested on Malvolence, and not long after came a slave bearing the amount that was requested. Yes, malik did have some very methodical bean counters. Human taken into slavery after his bean counting got him in trouble with someone trying to play a scamgame. they had though selling him to a drow slaveowner woudl be as severe a punishment as they coudl inflict. instead..he got a realtively easy life doning his old job for a new boss.
Though at Zahara's comment, that got a look to see piper, and a riased brow at her new pair of gloves. when did she get those?

Oh damn, caught. Drow, you just couldn't out sneak them could you? Oh well...she was caught and couldn't pretend it didn't happen. "Alright..." Not much more to say to that before she turned, casting a look over her shoulder at the boys, before heading outside as requested. Though she was momentarily preoccupied by the apparent new water feature outside, easily visible. "When did we get that?" Rhetorical, but she turned to look at Zahara. "Okay then...talking."
Sevilin gave a grin. "Wonderful." And a little nod at at the slave who brought out his payment and set it on the table. Sevilin twined his fingers and let his hadnd rest on the edge of the table for a moment, before giivng a little raise of an eyebrow at the women. Women...then a look back to Malik and one of those chuckle. "See, I didn't reap your pockets too deeply." Oh he knew he had Malik thinking on that, it had been his own little fun past time.

Zahara glanced at the lake she'd made for a moment and shrugged, "I made it." But crossing her arms, she raised an eyebrow at the surface elf. "I know you probably think I'm going to deliver some line like, 'Care to explain your reasons for doing what you did? You do realize that I'm not absolving you of guilt in that situation' or you think I'm going to cut you down for it again but I won't. I learned my lesson from that." She rubbed at her hand lightly the sighed. "The truth of the matter is pretty simple. I brought you out here to...well, to thank you."

Piper blinked at Zahara. "Thank me?" Okay, now she was a tad bit confused...she did indeed think herself beyond all retribution. And she was pretty much wearing that look right out there in the open. Piper clasped her hands together, clenching them slightly in working new leather to comfortable easy fit. "Do tell, how I warrant thanks."

"Yes thank you. But if you would wiat just one moment, there's something I need to do first." She slipped away from Piper and began walking along the grounds, muttering to herself. "Over here? No...it was further this way." Scanning over them until she saw the glint of a blade and pounced on it. Sure enough there it was, right where it had been seared in half and fallen to the ground. The hilt was lying not too far away and she scooped that up as well. That was one. Now for the other. Scanning over the ground again until she found the other piece of blade and it's hilt as well. Her daggers gathered once again she came back to Piper and shrugged, "Now, what did you ask me again?"

Piper watched as Zahara apparently got proccupied with something or other and she merely stood there, waiting patiently in puzzlement over this. Idly she kicked at some loose rocks on the ground before Zahara came back and Piper repeated her question, "Why am I all of a sudden desreving thanks?"

"This time."
Though he idly drummed his fingers on Malvolence, and requarded sevilin cooly.
"I take it you'll be finding new accomidations, and your chainmail is fully repaired, down with Tremor. Must be...interesting to owe your life to a drow woman, isn't it."
A slight smirk at the corners of his lips.
"I didn't lie to you before, it would seem. In your defense, she invoked a Goddess, and damn near killed herself to do it. Not many Drow women I woudl think woudl do that. sounds more like what a lover might do, when pressed for the life of the one they love."
Yes, Malik was prodding again. and giving the rune mage something to think about.
"It's the same with me and piper. i fone of us in in serious danger, the other bends thier wills to help. Quite the thought to see Zahara do the same for you."

Zahara studied her for a long moment and then sighed, "You wanted to teach me about passion, whether it was for your own ends or not, is highly irrelevant here. You wanted to give me a taste of what I was missig, you wanted to show me what it was like. You wanted me to understand. So much so, that you went to great lengths to make damn sure that not only would it happen, but that it would be with someone I had thoughts about anyway." She was quiet for a moment. "No one's ever cared what I thought of something before like that. no one's ever gone to such lengths to prove a point and yet tried to make it enjoyable for me at the same time. You really can never understand what you ultimately did Piper but it was a tremendous gift...one that I will always be thankful for. so...thank you." Her eyes never left Piper's and she nibbled on her lip nervously. This thanking thing wasn't all that easy really...

Oh nice he had Malik perpetually cautious of his price gouging. How nice, that could work well indeed. "Most likey...I'm sure you don't understand why I just don't take free room and board here...well I need a lot of quiet and a lot of space to myself. Can't get that here what with slaves and other things running about."
A little bit of a frown on the mention of owing his life...he had specifically avoided those words in his earlier conversation with Zahara about it all. "Owe my life to a drow woman...perhaps you don't know how many times I've owed drow women my life." And in a twisted way, he was right, after all five sisters and one of them had to be the one to convince the others to spare his death...sick as thier reasonings to 'save his life' may be. Admit it? No of course not. Though he raised an eyebrow as Malik continued on, in fact he turned in his chair to be facing him better.
"As I told her and you before and now again, I didn't ask her to go to that extreme." A little defensive edge, followed but a scoff as he tapped his fingers on the table again. "Lover, love, you and your...surface elf," careful to avoid the word pet, "...do you always speak in what you think you see or what your surface elf tells you she see?" Because those were surface elf concepts, right? "There is no love between her and I and we are in no way like you are with your surface elf?" Notice the name avoidance? "Besides...you know not her motives for doing it...perhaps she just wanted to keep me around till she gets her runing down." Oh look that paranoia again...well Malik had put him off kilter and that's how he responded to it.
Slowly, as Zahara went on, a smile came to Piper's face. Well damn, she had won. Though she knew better than to gloat about it, because it wasn't about aining, it was just about trying to make Zahara see where she as coming from. "I'm glad...so then perhaps now you can see where I come from? That some things are not ill intended but merely can't be helped." A little nod then. "Well...how would I be proving my point if you weren't going to fully enjoy it? I couldn't. I knew I would be more or less forcing you...so Malik's own things about Sevilin just...conincided nicely I guess." A soft shake of her head, still smiling. No 'I told you so' or anything. "You're welcome Zahara..." Despite the woman having slapped her when it had apparently been a good thing all along.
