Deranged Hero Jaydine So I am looking to take a break from skyrim and play a different game. I have my sights set on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Two Worlds II. Has anyone played either and have any thoughts? "I've not played Two Worlds II. But, I really like Kingdoms of Alamur, kind of like Fable and Skyrim had an illegitimate child but it grew up to be it's own pers- game. It's familliar enough, but different. My favourite weapons are chakrams(basically, fast hitting magic weapon). Some of the people are strange too, take this one group of Fae who basically live their lives acting out the same stories over and and again, and the Fae are immortal... Yeah." ...seriously suck to be them then. << Thanks guys. I did play Two Worlds a little bit and Two Worlds II and I have to say that the second game was actually playable. That was when they first came out so it has been little while but since I liked/love fable/skryim I will probably go with Reckoning.

"So, since I can't drive I'm being forced back into this long distance school(which I attempted to do a few years back, and failed) because none of the Adult Schools are close enough to get to in a decent time by bus.
So, I have to call and find out what it'll cost... ...one of my biggest phobias is answering and using phones in general. As in, no, I will not answer the phone(unless I'm 100% sure of who is on the other end)... And until the other week I had never called anyone before... ...and I only called then because I was desperate, and I don't think I could do it again.
Can't... I just skip this one, please? Someone else do it for me?" T-T

Back when I was in college I attended a local community college and took a few courses online. We only had to meet on campus one time during the semester and all interaction was via online ect. You need to be self disciplined enough to set aside time and get stuff done, but if you can do that its a great flexible way to take classes. Just a thought.

"Well, actually that's what the kind of school I'm trying to enrol with. Though it's a mix of online and phone classes. Like I said, it's for people who can't attend a physical school because of distance problems.
Though I was also doing it a few years back, but back then I had no goal or motivation.
...But it doesn't get me around the having to call up and find out information part."

Been on a Morrowind kick recently. Playing that game made me realize just how spoiled the players are now. Jumping costs fatigue points, it takes FOREVER to get to certain places on foot, Melee combat is a b***h and a half to get through, which is why I prefer to use Mages in Morrowind.
Admittedly, I think that jumping SHOULD cost Stamina gauge points. Think about it. If you, a person, sit there and JUMP up and down, over and over... You're either A. an athlete.or B. ******** TIRED after a few jumps.
I also miss my spears. I REALLY miss my spears.
And what the HELL happened to Sonic Damage spells?

"I played through Morrowind not too long ago, so I hear you. But I could NEVER do magic in Morrowind, always melee. Last character actually used a spear, take that Cliff Racers! Couldn't get close enough.
The only magic I used was levitate, but generally I had something enchanted with it, ahahah. Leviatate was the best way to get around. Also, Boots of Blinding Speed if you know what you're doing.
And yeah, jumping should cost stamina, jumping is exertive.
I want pole-arms back in general. Spears, halberds, glaives, poleaxes. Also, crossbows. I'd pick up a crosbow over a bow."

@ Nero: I hear you man, I recently downloaded MW via Steam, and AWWWWW Man did it bring back memories...the good and the bad. Though I have to admit, that since this is my first time ever having a TES game for the PC, I've been cheating out the bung hole via the Command Console. Need to get from point A to point B in a hurry? Well just press ~ then type in player->SetSpeed 1000 and then enter and POOF! You like the Flash. Just make sure that your not on the ground, leviate works best at speeds set that high.
But I'm in full agreement that jumping and running and other forms of physical moment ought to cost stamina to use. In all my previous plays of MW I never used magic, just didn't like that it could fail when casting something. But know I use a combo of melee and magic.
@ Hero: A crossbow takes forever to reload and has crappy distance, give me a long bow any day! XD

"My aim isn't very good from a distance and reload speed isn't a big factor for me. Just hand any crossbows you get to me then." xp
"Also, I may be adding you on Steam, I keep seeing you as a suggested friend." mad d

lol I'll send any crossbow's I find your way then.
Really I guess I haven't paid too much attention to all the other features that Steam has to have noticed that. Sure add me if you wish I'll accept.

"Good, good, and I'll try not to shoot you with them. Though, no doubt you'd probably get me first.
I don't use too many of Steams features anyway, though it makes multiplayer easier in compatible games. I kinda dislike when they release a multiplayer game on Steam and you can't send invites via Steam, but I generally play LAN with my siblings anyway."

Loved Morrowind enough to do practically everything, walk around aimlessly in it, and in time buy it for computer to mod it to the teeth. Sithorn's is almost unrecognizeable, but absolutely the same game through and through.

"I do have it... on my brother's Steam account." mad d "Before I got my own account, I just bought and played games on my brother's. I need to re-purchase Morrowind and Amnesia. I'll probably wait for a sale though, what I do for most games."
