Max had seen the events that unfolded before him and had done and said nothing. For all his provado, Max was much smarter then that, he would not get himself involved in this conflict, he doubted that he would survive much if he did. He was afterall a human, albeit a special one, but against quick to strike Drows he was still a mere mortal, and an old one at that. Max looked down and his bartened feet and could not help but chuckle. Maybe I should take that woman's advice and buy a decent pair of boots. He shook his head, he knew that he was far to old now to change his ways. Max's good eye scanned the world around him, his body every shifting, minute changes in stance and weight were crucial to him, he wasn't going to left unguarded, not ever again.

After a nice half hour or so of comfort to his daughter, Kieran had found himself slipping into reverie, not that Piper minded, he was hurt after all and whether he knew it or not, she knew what he had been doing, so she let him rest and was more or less wandering a little through the house some. A look down the hall to where Meilikki was staying.

Circa and Eket were standing guard at her door, faithful as ever, listening for noises inside and outside the room, and more or less batting at each other, conversing amongst themselves as they sat there idly. It wasn't a bad job at all, and hey they knew they would get treats out of it. Piper passed out treats to everything like water after all.

Satisfied at the dragons that were there she sighed and walked back to her room for a moment, grabbing her notebook and then headed downstairs and started through the basements to make her way to Broog. Damn basements, always took her forever to get through there. But might as well distract her mind with work until Meilikki woke up...which Keely was supposed to inform her immediately about.

Good old lovable Broog, blessing weapons in the name of Rallos Zek. scribing the shamantic incatations into the metal of Tremor's forged weapons. As far as Broog knew, that would make them work. Not to mention Broog did have a great faith in the Warlord. He was proud then to inscribe the blessings on weapons, and proud to serve his masters then and now.

He didn't know about the fact the army was long since gone, nor did he feel teh pull of the goddess' departure. in fact, Tanundra's deathcries had been taken as the opposition suffering massive deaths.

Took her oh, about ten minutes when it should of probably taken three. Oh look, diligently at work as always, Broog was indeed a creature of habit...or more so instructional habit. But Piper tried to compose herself some and then cleared her throat as an entrance of herself before saying anything. "Broog? You're not too busy are you?" Might as well start testing out her plans.

Big Broog looked up, his hands working in no less graceful reproduction of scribing into teh metal, titled his head, sniffed a bit, then set the finished blade down, getting up and lumbering over, and walking around her...before plopping back in his seat.

"Mistrez not fighting? Master fights, mistrez fights. broog makes da sharpies meaner. Did Broog miss all da fighting? Broog sorry he coudln't make da sharpies quicker."

Tremor was working out the kinks and damage to Sevilin's chainmail, but noting Piper, nodded lightly and picked up his tools, including the anvil, and moved to another area as to not interrupt.

"You have nothing that I want." Replied the drow. "You have nothing that Dominia wants. The courts of Jiscal are open to his vassels. I imagine the courts of Honoursfield are the same." TEH drow shrugged. "You would have very little business in Deep Water or Honoursfield with your slave trading. They simply don't need them." It was true, without any large need for physical labour and the rather dense population made the domestic market rather small. There was little work for the people to do as it was, and no wealth in it either. "You might be able to sell some of your things in Honoursfield, just don't expect to be welcome there if you do." The drow shrugged agian.

"Other than Dominia, why did you come to me to ask these things?"

"Well...the fighting was cut short before it ever started. Someone lended a helping hand and took care of it for us. It's alright, no apologies needed." Was it odd that Broog was cute in that childish way? But a look to Tremor, giving him a nod just because he had to her, as he left. And her attention settled back on Broog. "Broog...I need you to make something for me...a leash, life for the collars. I was hoping you could make me something like that...but doesn't work on collars. More of only works on a specific marking or symbol or something of those sorts that can be etched into the types of metals that are used for collars." Just needed herself more or less a leash that wasn't for a collar but used the metal that made collars as well as the commands that worked them. And was very specific reacting. After all, Malik had his individual leashes for each collar as well. Plausible easily.

Max stretched his body out, he has becoming rather stiff just standing in that one position. And truth be told, that massive fortress that was jouting out towards that sky no more then fifty feet in front of him was starting to catch his fancy. Now, at his age Max was anything but stupid, he always let his curiosity be his guide, but he wasn't about to barge into the place as fast as he snuck up on the Drow, the fact that he could, didn't necessarily mean that he should. Not if he wanted to survive to see another night. "Eye and Eye going on an adventure." he laughed as he made his way slowly towards the Fortress, his body shifting and moving, his eye every moving as well, looking at the world around him. With a few short breaths a soft glow began to emit from underneath the leather patch on his eye.

Malik nodded.

"That I know. mostly I've been selling 'farmhands' for temporary fees and usually blackmailing to get those fees extended. as for Dominia. I woudl expect cannonfodder to be rather appreciated. but you probably have that covered. Pity."

Though a slight look of distaste.

"There is no way in innoruuk's cauldron I am going to play vassal to a human. The reasons I ask you are simple. You have access to halls of power I do not, and rather then deal with a devil I don't know, I'll deal with the devil I do know. wether you'll admit it or not, you rule Deepwater. Jiscal will do what you tell him to do."

Though a shrug.

"But if I have nothing you want, then I guess I'll consider us more or less unformal allies. in the manner of you don't come after me, I won't come after you. agreed then?"

"You's wants a leashie, but not a leashie? mez confuzzled....Ohz. you wants da leashie ta work on whacha wanna put in da metal. Meza cans do dat. whatcha wanna use fer da leashie? gloves like da masterz? or sumtin elses?"

Broog was already starting to dig through his ever present case of shinies, tossing out idly crowns, cases of rings, necklaces, armbands, earrings, bracelets, anklets and so forth, all looking like jewelry a human woudl murder to get thier hands on.

Oh that upped her mood a good bit. It was nice to get somewhere now wasn't it? "Yes, that's exactly right Broog." A little thinking moment though, idly looking at the jewelry which really wasn't overly impressive to her, then again she was elvish and used to finer crafts. "Short glove, fingerless, black leather." Just like the ones that she wore on normal circumstances. And Malik may not notice too much. She may not be wearing her gloves much lately but he wouldn't question her doing so again. Of course knowing Broog, he'd probably pretty it up a bit, make it more feminine, branding designs into the leather or something creative that popped to his mind. Oh yes, this was going well.

Kimmuriel laughed, "Do not be naive."

"I am drow. Humans do what I tell them to, or die. Some humans know this more than others, some are rather reasonable about it, others die." A cold tone echoed in the quiet darkness.

"Cannon fauder only works in open warfare. In the subterfuge that will mark the next two weeks, until Triel or Breza rename the nation, only drow soldiers are useful. Other races die to easy." The last sentace carried a tone that showed that Malik should not question that.

"You are here because you want something from me, and you are hopping to get it. What about my personality tells you that you will get what you want?"

To say that the excusion was becoming rather boring would have been an understatement. Even though Max was ready at a moment's notice for something to happen, it was a bit of a bother to get his feather's all ruffled as it were and have nothing to dance for. He had to admit that whoever had bult the thing was a true artist, but Max was starting to thing, that an Adventure would be found perhapd elsewhere.

Max had been wandering around like, well for lack of a better word, an idiot for god knows how long. It didn't take him long to make his way to the stables, where the horses were kept. By the noises that were coming from inside the establisment, Max guessed that there was about four of the creatures, and boy, where they huge. As always Max approached with much caution, if the horses were anything like the inhibatants of these place, he might end up headless, fast. It took much longer then it should have to enter the place and once he stepped inside, he had to take a moment to take hs bearings. He had seen this type of horses before, but never quite in this combinations. In total there was five horses, four of them Fouls, and even ten they were much larger then normal horses, and volumes smarter. Two of the creatures were Nightmare/Zephry crossbreads, complete with flames and fangs. Zephmares, he had heard them called once. The other two were winged Zephyrs, certaintly not as scary as at the others, but still they had a daunting presence to them. The eldest of them, a Pure Zephyr, was an Adult, and from the look in his eyes, much wiser and older then even Max.

"Sorry to be intruding, ye noble creatures. Eye and Eye means not harm to the." he spoke in soft tones, and was careful not to get to close without permission.

"Well I don't want to kill Jiscal. and Jiscal is quite under the impression that I can do nothing against him without you coming to his aid. What I want is corpreal power in Deepwater. which you can grant by doing one of two things. either let me beat Jiscal into submission, or demand he give me the access I ask for."

A smirk.

"That, and I want to borrow Warhammer and Aella for a short time soon. Nature Abhors a vaccum, and I'm hoping to get the Earth Mother's replacement. Might as well get some of the strongest of her follower there for that."

Mounting back up on Nightmare.

"And why do it? because while you power in Dominia is weakened, and thus you resources a bit strained right now. Mine are only going to grow with all the death. and it means I'll owe you a favor further on down the line as well.

Of course for Max, the Yuan-ti statues at the front of the fortress moved, drawing thier bows and aiming. and the two ogre guards picked up thier hammers. not to mention..it was getting hotter the closer he got. and little dragon head perked up over the edge of the wall, reguarding him curoiously. after all..they'd still been set out for that battle that never was...until he went to the stables.

That left the slaves that tended the stables to watch him like a hawk, and for one to slip inside, and about thirty second later another Ogre, hammer in hand, and looking none ot happy came in.

"Buisness."

Broog nodded lightly, finding a glove like Piper wanted, cutting off the fingers, walking over and putting it on her hand..a nice snug fight before taking it off, and plopping in his chair, needle, threads, and metals all laid out aroudn him now.

"Wut symbell do yous wants for da leashie?"

Nerian's attention turned up from superficial grazing at the coming of someone new. His ears flicked at him and he gave a nicker of questioning to him, not really expecting an answer...but knowing he'd catch hell from Serino or Nightmare if thier foals got hurt...or his for that matter.

Of course that didn't stop them. New thing in teh stables! Let's snuffle at it just because we can! Thus he was crowded with little snouts snuffling at him, the zephmares nipping at little with fangs. Of course they all looked to Nerian as apparently he chastised them and they backed off.

Piper opened her little book and flipped through a few pages till she came to a sketch. On the page was an image of Malvolence, rather perfectly sketched out, and running down the length of the blade as if lying against it was a bow and arrow. "Would this work?" Symbology and cresting was all the same essentially, representative symbols. Besides, this was for her anyway.
