Spelling. It's quite interestin thing. Especially for some one who comes from a language that spells words as they speak them. At first it was hard to learn English spelling, but then I just learned the alfabets really well so I can now check what letters a word might have by saying it aloud.

Yeah, plus English is a hybrid, Germanic language. To do well in it, one almost has to know basic Latin, Greek, German, And Gaelic spelling conventions and alphabetical nuances.

Demented Lamb I want a Ferret really bad... but I gotta wait till I get my own place. I want it to look really close to this one.
I used to care for a dark-eyed white ferret named Blossom for an Animal Science class I took when I was younger, as well as an albino cornsnake called Clarissa. :p We would travel around to various elementary schools in the immediate area and tell them about the different animals we were placed in charge of for the semester. I had to alternate between presenting the two of them since snakes and ferrets obviously do not mix. sweatdrop

We have a great english teacher in the college. He was from wales and he had studied english language alot so he knew the history of most of the words. He explained few tips how to figure out what some word might mean if you refer it to latin and so on. It was really interesting.
