A doppelganger's shapeshifting ability (as far as I'm aware) is completely "natural" in the context of their species. It's what they do. It would be like effecting a squid's ability to shoot ink, or a chameleon's ability to blend in with its surroundings.
So with that ability, I think you would have to be particularly careful of things like context for the other character's abilities. Other than that, I don't see a problem; just depends on how it's implemented and what have you.

It seems to me that creating a field that negates a skill is just an argument waiting to happen.
I don't know if this point has already been brought up, but it's like saying you're preventing someone from using the Force, which as far as I can remember is established as being all around people, but also an innate part of them.
So while one person could say they negate the force because it's being used from an outside source, the person using it could say that it's not negated because the force comes from within.
Or something.
I'm way late on this, nevermind. I'm gonna go draw boobs.

That's true, but we're not dealing with the force, we're dealing with magic, which while always there, has to be molded in order to be usable. I'm not negating magic, I'm twisting it, in the field you might think the spell correctly, but as soon as it tries to form in the field, it would be warped.

Hay Darf, and anyone else that wants to help, will you look at this image and tell me what's wrong with it? Not too worried about the coloring, more the anatomy.

I've posted it before, but that was awhile ago and I'm going to redraw it.

It could just be me, but the back leg looks... I don't know exactly how to put it, like it's sunk into the abdomen slightly, and the pectorals seem a bit small compared to the rest of the body.
Other than that, for a bulky character (pure physical strength, not bodybuilder style), it looks good to me.

Back and Pectorals need to be bigger.

Nah, just the negation field being canceled, because mine has one more anti in it. Pretty sure that's the rule for negation fields.
