Lord Yawgmoth

Shadowy Lunatic

Yawgmoth laughed "Oh hell no." Yawgmoth stood up when she said she wished to learn. "We aren't taking on any students and there is no way you could learn anything that we can do without our help. And even if you could, would you want to? Would you dare to take on the dark power and try to stop it from infecting you? While we do not doubt your adeptness in all things concerning mana, we doubt your ability to withstand the constant onslaught the darkness will place upon your mind as you try to learn its ways." Yawgmoth said crossing his arms over his chest.

Her shadow was still her shadow and crossed its arms when Ziven did. Imitating her movements. When she reached for it it too reached but with the opposite hand as it was a mirror imagine so to speak. As Ziven poked the shadow, the shadow poked her back. The energies of darkness would shoot through her body in one quick burst. The darkness contained within a shadow was not so vile it would corrupt or infect her as Yawgmoth had stated but the jolt was sure to give her some invigoration. Something equating to an adrenaline rush.

She jumped back a bit at the sensationof touching the shadow. The feeling was highly unexpected, she rather meep'd with surprise. "That was odd, it did not feel all consuming. Hmm .. you misunderstand, I wish to learn, I do not expect to learn. I thank you for confirming that you have no desire to teach, it saves the embarrassment of having to ask." she looked at him and nodded, sincerely meaning what she said.

"It is because a shadow does not contain that much darkness. It is still a reflection of its owner. If we animated our shadow and you touched it, the intensity would be much different. Get the idea?" Yawgmoth said snapping his right index and thumb fingers together. Her shadow flopped back on the floor and was no longer 'animated' by his magic. "Would you really want to learn from us? Knowing what we used that magic for. You saw what we have done last night. We know those images disturb your slumber. And yet you cannot help but be curious about our dark magics. You are still as interesting a creature as ever pet." Yawgmoth commented.

"I have learned some the Dark Arts from others. I would learn from any who are willing to teach." a mischievous grin crossed her lips. Blue eyes gazed upon him quietly. "What I have learned may not manipulate darkness but there are a few things I know that might interest you, just as what you know interests me." she raised an eyebrow, hoping she may have caught his interest.

"There is probably nothing you know that is impressive enough to warrant our attention to it pet. We only seek the most powerful dark magic. And we have scoured the universe a great deal to find the most powerful. Show us what you've got though, maybe you've got something of interest" Yawgmoth shrugged seating himself on barstool. Couldn't hurt to see what the little girl possessed right?

"I am afraid the ones I know and am willing to demonstrate require a subject for which to cast the spells on." she said looking at him apologetically. Looking around the room, she knew they were the only people present. It was then she saw a large spider dangling from the rafters. "You will do fine. Mind you, the people who shared this knowledge with me call what I am about to demonstrate the Unforgivable Curses. They are not to be used against others for malicious purposes, they say. The first is unable to break free of .. if one maintains this for too long, they will drive the person to madness." with a wave of her hand, the spider grew much larger, that of a cat or small dog. A moment of silence as she concentrated and then, pain. The spider writhed in agony, silently screaming since it had no ability to make sound. Holding this for a moment, she released the creature from its pain. She paused, to see what Yawgmoth may say.

"Not bad.." Yawgmoth said his eyebrows quirked in a curious fashion as he watched the spider. He had a slightly similar ability, though his worked directly with the mind of his victim. Causing them to fall into an illusion of being mutilated. The pain their brain made them feel was very real, the actual mutilation was far from tangible. Could her technique be similar? "Unable to break free of huh...we doubt that. There is a flaw in all spells no matter who crafted them. It is in finding the flaw that the problem lies. We do suppose if no one has been able to break free of this spell, the flaws are very minimal. But do trust us, they do exist within the mana workings somewhere. Though, we do not wish to experience this curse to attempt to find the flaws ourselves. We are certain if life depended on it, we could do so."

"Very well. The next ..." she paused for a moment again, concentrating on the spell before casting it. The spider stiffened for a moment, then stood on two legs, balancing perfectly, as if it were normal for a spider to walk on two lets. Moving closer to Yawgmoth, when it was close enough to touch him, it dropped back down to all eight legs and crawled up upon him. It poked him in the chest with one of its legs before doing a spectacular back flip off his legs and landed on the floor again. It gave a mighty twitch before relaxing and returning to what seemed to be normal, standing there on all eight legs, resting.

Yawgmoth blinked a bit "What the hell was that supposed to be?" He said crossing his arms unimpressed watching Ziven for a moment waiting for her to explain just what she had done. He guessed some sort of brain control or something. Not as impressive as the first one.

"Yes, this demonstration is an unimpressive display of what this spell does. If there were a person to demonstrate with .. you would understand fully. Though I have done only a short demonstration, one with a strong mind can control another indefinitely. If you would like, I will cast it upon you. However, I suspect you would be able to break this one with little effort, but believe me when I say it is an interesting feeling to have this cast on you." she grinned at him for a moment. With a small nod, she looked at him for a moment. "Shall we continue or are you game to experience this curse? I do not suppose it is necessary to promise that I would promise to be good, that I would not do anything .. unfavorable to you."

"Little girl we highly doubt your mind control would work on us as you have already stated. Mind control is a basic technique to us, we are not interested. Your first 'curse' was more entertaining. Please tell us you have more of that nature and less of the typical spells that we know" He said grumpily. He was not going to let her even attempt to cast that spell on him. While Yawgmoth was arrogantly sure his overly complex brain layout would resist such a controlling mechanism he was not willing to test the spell without proper research. The scientist in him said no. The risks were too great and they trumped his arrogance for the time. "So is that all? Or are we waiting for another one?"

She sighed heavily, not truly wanting to perform the last curse, even if it were just a silly spider. Shrugging her shoulders, she crossed her arms over her middle, the expression on her face looking rather sad. "If you recall the night I admitted I could kill everyone in this place with a single thought ... this is one of the killing spells that I know." she concentrated for a moment again, and the spider fell limp. With another small sigh, she kicked it over to his feet, in case he wanted to confirm it was dead. "There are others .. but I am unable to demonstrate them, the .. supplies .. necessary to complete them are hard to come by."

"Now that, is impressive. Do you know the dynamics of the spell? How does it kill them? Or are you unaware, and just know that it 'does' " Yawgmoth questioned. The ability to kill on a whim was indeed a strong one. Yawgmoth's brain was already conjuring ways to find flaws in this spell so that if she ever decided to retaliate against him he would be ready for it.

"Little bit of both, I suppose. Those who told me of this know only that it kills and has been able to escape its fate. When I tried once, with my mind open, because I was curious .. it was as if the soul was simply squashed out of their body, for lack of better explanation. There is one creature I learned of that, in a way, would do a similar thing. By giving someone a 'kiss' of theirs, they would suck a persons soul out of their bodies through their mouth. Most unpleasant, one of the darkest creatures I have had the misfortune of crossing paths with. Unlike you, they had no mind. Very different, beasts as it were ... Hmm. she sighed and stopped herself from rambling further. She looked at him with a somber yet nearly apologetic expression.

Yawgmoth chuckled. "Well then we already are aware of how to stop it. We think anyway. It will require a test. We will ask you to cast this spell upon us free of punishment or retribution when we have perfected our counter measure to it." He said arrogantly thinking, if it devoured souls Yawgmoth could simply..'not have one'. After all, he was timeless. Perhaps that was already a counter measure in and of itself. He would have to find out. "Now we rewind to the point of this whole display. You are trying to peak our interest in one of those spells, and perhaps we would exchange something with you yes? One of our spells perhaps? One of our tricks."
