Morrigan shrugged. "I never thought I'd love anyone again either." she replied. "Sometimes we misjudge people... misjudge ourselves. I wouldn't doubt that your father's incredibly lonesome when you get down to it. I've been around a long time, my dear, I've seen many things in my day. Never once have I seen any human or humanoid that didn't desire company and acceptance. Maybe she understands him in some way we don't... and he clings to that because it is the only rope anyone's ever given him." she mused quietly.
She had sat down, waiting for the water to boil for tea. "After all, relations between him and his family are far from ideal."

"I don't want that." Kaguyo shook her head. "I don't want to be immortal Aled-kun. Don't you understand that?" she asked sadly, stroking his cheek. "That has no value for me. When all the people I know and love die... All my family... my friends... what value will this life have for me, hmm? No... I would rather be reincarnated, experience childhood again. Have a chance to forget everything, to start over... Be whole... Maybe not now... maybe not for a long time... but one day, when my time arrives. Why are you afraid of death Aled-kun?"

Kazuhiko thought carefully, but shook his head. "Even hydras can be killed Fir-san."

Itachi saw no harm in answering that question. "Eighteen." he replied honestly. "And what do you mean, 'if it was real'?" the assassin asked. "That rat was too real to have been an illusion."

"Yes well, those relations would be his fault." Po-ar replied angrily.
But Ainsu shook his head, "Morrigan-san may be right, Po-ar-kun... I... I remember things... Yes, he was horrible to me in the past... demo... The memories you took... they were not all bad..."

Aled removed Kaguyo's hand from his cheek. "Weakness lies in death." he answered truthfully. "If I die, I am weak... An Ou should have no such weaknesses..."

"But it's possible and we have enemies who can." Kazuhiko scolded him sternly. "You need to up security around here!"
He wasn't quite any of them. If Julius, Fir and Pixel could be merged into one little boy, Kazuhiko was starting to look like the result.
"And you need to learn more about your enemies before they decide to learn more about us! You know in the Fae-world it isn't that hard, all one has to do is ask the Korreds of the rebel that left, or the wee-ones of the wanderer who lives in this world now. We have plenty of Korreds on Earth. You've distinguished yourself. Bad idea number two. While I'm going to be the best at all I do, no one can know I'm the Hunter. And I will be, Fir. Quit worrying about it, you're not going to stop me anymore than Mum or Da or even Herne. I'll kill him once and for all, and he'll never hurt anyone again." he growled softly. "But the point is, you don't seem to take things seriously enough. You're the leader. You have to be more serious sometimes Fir."
He crawled back into the Korred's arms, snuggling with both Fir and the rats. "But I guess I'm glad you're not serious all the time. You just need to watch your a** more."

Kaguyo shook her head. "Death is a part of life, Aled-kun." she retorted. "King or Queen, merchant, peasant, fighter, woman, man, child... Death claims us all. One day you're going to be alone again... is that what you really want?" she sighed, tilting her head at him sadly. "I know it isn't. I know for a fact it isn't."
She pulled him into a hug, kissing the top of his head. "You've been through enough Aled-kun... I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you. I won't leave you again... but death is something that I will not change or interfere with."

Morrigan nodded. "We all were born good initially. Sometimes we just.... veer off the path." she shrugged softly. "The real questions for both of you are things you really need to prepare yourselves for. For you, Po-ar, the questions are whether or not you are really prepared to orphan yourself again... and whether or not you're not going to regret never making amends with your father. For you, Ainsu, the questions you face are a bit more.... solemn, I think. Matters of the heart... well, that's serious business." she sighed. "Are you really prepared for facing Aled...?" she asked, before looking up and meeting his eyes. "And moreso... what if Kaguyo doesn't want to come back? Then what, Ainsu?" she asked grimly. "Are you prepared to deal with that?"

"When Mumma Cerridwen let me drink from her Cauldron." Kazuhiko replied as-a-matter-of-factly. "When else?"
He was genuinely confused. "That's the only time I had before I was born... I'm really only 2 months old and I was premat...early..." he frowned. "I still can't say some words right though. But you know what? I can prevent Aled from getting in here." he announced suddenly. "Do you know why?"

Kazuhiko blushed and giggled, shaking his head. "Nooooooooooooo!" he nuzzled him affectionately. "Because the power is mine! It came from me! Not Aled. It isn't his. If I work a spell around here, I might even be able to take it back." he added, looking at the ceilings---but he was really looking at the layers of magick his mother added onto it. "She needs to shield her magick more, make it less bright. You got her during a good time though. She really meant the spells she cast, she put a lot behind them. She must've been worried." he frowned. "But Da's home. So everything's better." he smiled.
He began to concentrate, his energy starting to radiate powerfully for a child his age. It seemed impossible such a small vessel could release so much.
But there he was, and there he went. It wasn't long before there was a thick, tangible barrier placed atop Morrigan's, shielding it and acting like a fishing net.
"When he comes through," he whispered, pointing at the ceiling---his spell's energy manifested in hundreds of tiny, intricate Celtic knots, "it'll catch my essence back from him, like a magnet.... a magnet so strong it takes it from him, so I can take it back." he smiled. "Or leave it and play dumb. Then we can snap on the cuffs, and he's done for!" he chirped. "Pixel'll be SOOOO happy!" he giggled. "I like her a lot, she's spunky!"

"It's because she misses her sister and doesn't want that to happen again." Kazuhiko said simply. "Auntie Eara doesn't hate her though. I know. Can I have more pets?" he asked, tilting his head. "Do you have any crows?"

"Well....um.... I want a dog." Kazuhiko declared suddenly. "Do you have those?"
