Mynoris rubs the back of her neck. "Well, I'm a warrior too, but mostly I'm an ex-goddess," she says, not sure if Ibara has a concept of deities either. "Just remember, while you're here, that this isn't your home or your culture, so really think hard before you get involved in anything too far," she cautions. "Conflicts in a nexus can get very unpredictable."
She looks over to Kira. "Is he the only unmarried Prescott left?" she asks, curious.
She raises her eyebrows to Urt. "I wasn't saying anything about your people in particular, just people in general. And I know I don't know anything about them, but one can always speculate until you give me information to the contrary," she notes.

"I was referring to your assumption that I don't know any better," he growled, voice clipped.
Svana set a hand on his thick bicep. "Leave it," she commanded.
Grumbling, he slumped down in his seat, although it didn't make him look any smaller.
Baldur, who had remained quiet during the exchange, snorted to himself, but didn't say anything. His opinion on slavery wouldn't have any impact, so he kept it to himself. Besides, he didn't need Urt to have some personal revelation. The army he gathered for them had turned the tide. They would probably need it to win.

"There's nothing wrong with owning slaves," Jelryn says, adding his opinion to the matter. "I've made use of them on several occasions. But I don't trouble myself too much with their day to day lives, and most of them don't give me any trouble back." He shrugs his shoulders. "There were slaves before I was born, and I'm sure there will still be slaves after I die. I didn't create the system, and I have no desire to end it."
He gives Kira a long look. "And are you so uncertain of your powers that you cannot seize prestige for yourself without marrying into it? Anyone can marry, given the opportunity, but not everyone can orchestrate a rise to power on their own cunning."

Kira said, "He's the only Prescott child who ever gave me the time of day. The others hate me. Though I can't understand why."
Blair had pulled Claudette into his lap, happy to have his arms around her.
"Svana," he said, "I want to thank you for my confidence to dump Kira. How can I?"
To Jelryn, she said, "I've failed out of office too many times to be considered a leader for my people. I need Blair."

Ibara glared at the mouthy women, "Your nothing but lowly thing, it seems to me this...owning of someone else is all that gives you worth," Power, it was what everyone seemed to want, and this seemed to be their version of it.
"Well then you are defective," She said to the large man. She couldn't warp her mind around the concept. "To ahve nothing better to do then to lower yourself to her."
The snake like women looked to Mynoris now, " Ex-goddess? How dose one suddenly not be a god? It is how mine were made. What did you do?" It was logical to think she had to do something to be knocked from her post...Ah, well, it might be best to keep her mouth shut but...too late for that.
Ibara looked to the last person to speak, a boy. " I care not, for you, along with the rest of the brute's in here, save you it seems," she said, looking to Mynoris for a moment, "are lowly things, needing to prove your power by this...owning of another. Its disgusting."

Svana blithely waved Blair away. "You gave me an orgasm. That's all I was after. Consider your debt paid."
She vaguely wondered how long it would take for Kira to burst into flames out of sheer rage. In her opinion, it took a truly special person to live hundreds of years and not learn how to handle people in all that time. Still, Kira's vicious streak was admirable.
Urt grinned at Ibara. "You should try it some time. You might like it." He then made a very crude gesture with his hand and tongue.

Ibara's scaled brows furrowed at the gesture of the brute. "That is not something I know. But whatever it is I am sure I will not want it." she said, frowning. "What are you even? You all look so strange."

"That sounds so crude," Blair said. "Shouldn't that be more passionate and love driven?"
Kira was starting to cry again, thinking about everything she had said. Giant waves of water were crashing down on the cafe, and Blair grabbed Claudette to get to a higher ground. They were drenched immediately, and it was beginning to rain in the cafe.
"No one likes me," she said, sobbing, unaffected by the water. "No one will ever like me!"

"I don't like to do it either," he confessed, "but it's something you should probably experience before judging." Pointing to Baldur and Svana, he said, "Elf, elf," then to himself, "orc."
"I can't say I've ever been in love, but it's still pretty good without it," she purred to Blair just as water started crashing around them.
Damn, but she hated getting cold. Urt looked down at his soaked chicken dejectedly and Baldur dropped his head into his hand. Svana sat there like a drowning kitten, fists held down at her side, expression growing darker and darker.
"Kira, burn it all, knock it off. I did like you before but that's about to stop really soon if you don't make it stop raining in here," she snarled.

Jelryn just stares at Kira for a few moments. "And what have you done to make them like you?" he asks. "Your attitude warns people off, not the opposite. I know people don't like me, and I don't care. Most of them are small minded and petty. What does it matter to me if they don't find my person appealing?" He shakes his head gravely. "Then again, I come from a land where very few people harness magical power; it gives me an edge. But you, you are surrounded by many others who have magic, yes? So, then if you want things to go your way, you need to find another edge."
With a sound of minor annoyance, he concentrates. Tiny little plants sprout out around the people who are wet. They have strange leaves that grow towards the water and start sucking them up. If Svana doesn't freak out and start slashing at them, she'll probably get dry relatively soon...assuming Kira actually stops the deluge.

Ibara just shook her head. She was missing to much to follow the conversation. What the hell was an elf? an Orc?
"you are all just strange-Ah!" Cold! Oh it was raining, and it was cold. Ibara hopped up on the counter, trying to avid as much water as she could, but it did not help much. At least the blood was finally coming off.
"Would you stop that!" Someone was making it rain, it had to be someone's magic. And it was very annoying.

((OOC: I'm not trying to be rude, but I lost my post and I don't remember what's in it, so I'm going to respond to newer stuff. I really need to start writing my posts on a notepad or word file so I don't keep loosing it!))
"My whole world was destroyed. I only survived because of a sudden surge of power," Mynoris explains to Ibara. "So, while I still have some powers, anything that came from being linked to my world is gone. Without people connected to me, I'm not really much of a goddess anymore." She shrugs; it happened so long ago that she's not weeping over it, though sometimes it still has the power to make her sad. "As for the Orc, if it works for him, then there's no reason to interfere. If he was interested in rebelling, then you would have an opening to try to push your ideas. The way things stand, I would wager it's best to leave him alone."
And then, WET. On the bright side, most of her outfit is leather, not metal, so rust isn't a huge issue. And her sword/dagger is sheathed, so protected. Still, she somehow feels less buoyant with her hair getting all plastered to her skull and her clothes sticking to her like that. Though, it gives a pretty good outline to her form.
"Your'e really not making us like you any better," she points out to Kira.

"I hate this," Kira said, kicking a table over. "I hate you," she pointed to Blair. "I hate you," she pointed to Claudette. "I mean seriously, why am I the villain?! I was supposed to be the lovable and quirky hero! What happened to that? Why is SHADOW the good guys and not the bad guys?"
The rain was turning into fire and brimstone as it rained from the ceiling in large fiery spheres.
Blair collapsed. Claudette was at his side, tending to him gently with the medicine.
"We're going to go to a less magic part of the cafe if anyone would like to join us," she said, treading through puddles of water with an unconscious Blair being dragged along. He was heavier than she thought.

Baldur stood in annoyance until it started raining fire. He ducked under the table at the same time as Svana and Urt.
"Why are we on her side?" Urt demanded grumpily.
"We're on our own side," she amended tartly.
"Can I hit her with my ax?"
"It wouldn't do any good. I already gutted her once. She just heals it instantly."
Grumbling, Baldur shot her an annoyed look. "You just had to go sleep with her fiance."
"How does that make this my fault?" she cried in outrage.

"Then don't act like a villain," Jelryn says flatly. "Either that, or embrace it. Decide you don't need to be liked and devote yourself to destroying those who stand in your way. Because you usually can't get away with both. Being likable means making certain sacrifices of your person. If you aren't willing to make them, then stop crying because no one likes you."
He looks over at the Orc. "Often magic can only be battled by magic. Or stealth," he notes crisply.
