RosePetals91 She smiles kindly, leading her upstairs "I'm a maiko here, but i sleep with the maids because i sleep better with people around me." Rose rambled a bit. she leads her into the room and sets out another pallet for Amaya. "For now your chore will be to wash these clothes" she said as she set down a basket of maids attire "If you go down those stiars and take a right you'll find the kitchen. Exit out the doorway in there and there will be fresh water for you to use. Be sure to take water from a bucket though. Hang them up on the rope tied there to dry....You do know how to wash clothes, right?" She watched as rose showed her around the Okiya, bowing as she set out her pallet, and bowed, whispering a quiet 'thank you'. She lifted the basket and nodded, smiling. "It was one of my chorses at home." She bowed again and carried off the kimonos and other clothing.
Once outside she kneeled and poured water into what appeared to be the wash basin. She began to soak and work soaps into the clothing.

Amaya worked more soap into the fabric and put them back into the water, sitting back, letting them soak just a little longer.she looked around the garden area around her before standing and lifting out the clothes rinsing them off. She hung them on the rope Rose had told her about.
It was getting late, and looking around at the lack of people she decided it would be best to go onto bed. Climbing up the stairs Amaya curled onto her pallet once she found the room once again. She was asleep within minutes.

Rose smiled as she saw her go into bed. she did come to the okiya when it was late so she didn't mind her going to bed already.

Amaya awoke in the early morning, around seven or eight. She dressed, brushed out her hair and then pinned it up again. She smoothed out the wrinkles in her outfit and slipped on her sandals. Then she walked to the door opened it and shut it behind her. The kitchen was where she found herself, very much alone. 'I hate being alone.' She thought to herself. She began to prepare breakfast for all other members of the okiya, cleaning up her mess as she went.

Akemi looked up groggily, hearing two sets of footsteps approaching the Maids' quarters. A woman seemed to be explaining the Okiya to someone; when this other person spoke up, Akemi realised it wasnt a voice she recognized. Had the Okiya acquired yet another maid today?!
The two people walked quietly into the room and the woman gave a task to the new maid, whose name was Amaya. We already have one Amaya! My, this shall be confusing! Akemi thought to herself in her sleepy state. She gave one last look around the room, sighed, turned herself over and dropped off to sleep again.

((Ooc: I'm the Amaya that came first. I'm guessing the other didn't notice that we she took the test because mine was right above hers. I have been in the okiya for two or three days.))

Sakura saw that more people were awake and went to go say good moring. "Good Morning Amaya." Sakura said sweetly then noticed the new girl, "Oh! Hello. I am Sakura CherryBlossom. I am a maid here also. May i ask what ur name is?" (post 32) (okay, surely it must be close to the time when I become a maiko. Sorry, i am kinda pushy but i can't wait 2 be a maiko. heart and congrulations Dark!!)

Amaya awoke the next morning, a little after sunrise, rolling off her palette she looked around her at the other sleeping women. she stood and fixxed her hair, she slid open the door to the room and walked out, re-closing the door. She walked to where she had washed the clothes earlier that night and took the ones that were dried(which was most). and put them back into a basket. She sat them beside her and looked around, unsure of what to do now.
She suddenly wondered how her father was doing, If he was well, though she had only left him two days earlier. "Amattyan, Go with the man, He will take care of you. You'll have a good life, you wont have to get your hands dirty." Amattyan had been her nickname at home. She shifted slightly on the porch at the thought. She stood back up and felt the rest of the clothes on the line, all were dry and she pulled them down, folding them and placing them on top of the rest. She walked upstairs and began to look around for the kitchen.
Eventually finding it she saw two other girls. She looked at them both for a second because one of the ladies introduced herself, Sakura. She smiled and bowed. "I am Amaya..Um. Are we allowed to eat..?" She sat the basket of clothes down. "...And where should I put these?"

"Yes u are allowed to eat," Sakura said as she took and apple from the fruit bowl, "Would you like one? These are splendid. Are those your clothes or someone elses clothes?" Sakura thought the young girl was very beautiful also. (post 33)

She took the apple and bowed. "Yes, thank you." She rolled the apple in her hands for a second. "They are mine.. my mother made them." She smiled at the memory of her mother sewing for her and her brother.
"What do we normally do here in the morning?" she took a bite from the apple.

"We do some chores and we doing anything that the maiko, geisha, or okaa-san tells us to do. We usually clean, but if we are done cleaning we can just sit in the garden or something, but there is always something to do." Sakura said, "May i ask something? You seem to stare into space alittle. Do you miss your family? I hope i am not being rude, i just want people to enjoy themselves." (post 34)

"ah... I see." She continues nibbling on the apple a moment before giggling lightly and smiling. "Its odd without my Father and Brother. haha.."she continued to nibble. "Do we do our chorses seperately or in groups?"

Don't worry about your cleanliness now, someother day. Please excuse me, there's someone at the door." Ayame walked to the door and answered it.
"Welcome to the Kazonotanpopo Okiya! Do come in. May I take your things for you or will you manage by yourself?" She bowed.
[Post 20. How many posts until I become a maiko?] [2] "I can manage by myself." Kyouko said quietly. She stepped into the okiya, looking straight at the floor. She suddenly stopped and then looked up to see everything around her. It didn't look exactly as she'd imagined but she knew that eventually she'd grow accustomed to her new home. She then took a deep breath and walked forward very slowly not knowing where she should go.
[Post 21.] [4] Kyouko nodded and quietly said "Thank you." She spotted the first step of the stairs and walked towards it. The sad face that was once on her face soon looked brither and filled with happiness. She once again felt nothing could go wrong. She had a strong feeling that she was fully accepted in the okiya with that feeling, the smile never left her face that night.
