Loralei smiled. "Well... they're this little pastry that has this yummy filling in the middle and chocolate on top. You want some?"

Loralei smiled from inside the kitchen. She heard what Alucard said, but decided to ignore it, going along with her better judgment. Loralei remembered what happened the last time she told Alucard that his older self really existed.
Instead, Loralei removed ingredients for the scrumptious treat and set to work.

He sat down on a chair and waited patiently, all the while his excitement for the treats began to dwindle away the more he thought about it.

Loralei heard what Alucard said, and peeked her head out of the kitchen, her hands full of a bowl of the mixture for chocolate eclairs. "Oh sweetie, it's not your fault, don't worry. I just... it's fine, nevermind." Loralei flashed him a brilliant smile before she headed into the kitchen, beating the mixture with some ferocity. Stupid Alucard.... going to get me in trouble.

"Wha..?" Loralei's answer left him even more confused. Then he pinned the blame on Loralei's illness from earlier, and determined that it made Loralei act a bit off.

Loralei sighed, feeling the success well up in her head. She had just placed the small pastries in the oven to bake, then she sat back on the chair, putting her head in her hands. Loralei let the scents of the eclairs waft towards her nose, and she smiled.

The scent of the eclairs baking drifted to the room Alucard was in. Alucard became enthused again, and was tempted to get up and see how things were doing with the baking.
