Cole looked at Saki; to think a member of the Strognwright clan was standing in front of him. His grandfather, Guntai, had told him tales of their prowes in combat, so it was no shock to him that Saki now carried the sword he had made.
"I'm curious, how good are you with your blade? Also, do you know what makes your sword so special?"

"I've trainded with my uncle since I can rememeber;First i used a Bokken, then when I was 14, he gave me this sword. He said it came from you, as a gift to him." she looked up. "I'm excellent with the sword, by the way."

A smile crossed Cole's lips. It was good to hear that the sword he forged was in the hands of a compatant wielder. Eyeing Saki up and down, it was obvious that she was rather fit. Cole held out his hand...
"May I see you hand Saki?"

Saki's eyes double blinked at Cole's request, and, slightly embarassed, she loooked away, furrowing her eyebrows, then relaxing them again. Looking up at him again, she held out her hand, forgetting to take off her glove.

Taking Saki's hand, Cole gently removed the glove and began to examine her hand. It was just as he thought, her hands were calloused from her swordsmanship. His traced his index finger across her palm, feeling where the callouses were more pronounced. Cole assumed that her left hand was in the same condition that her right hand was in.
"It's good to see that you do practice quite a bit, your hands show proof of that."
He said as his hand continued to feel Saki's hand.

Saki smiled. "I've practiced since i got that sword," she said proudly. "It means the world to me, as does my uncle."

A smile danced across Cole's face as he listened to Saki. It made his heart swell with joy to hear something he created was charised so much by someone. Cole let go of Saki's hand and looked into her eyes...
"I'm very glad to have you here within the pagoda. If ever you need anything, feel free to ask me."

Saki blushed when Cole smiled. Oh my god, she thought to herself. He is gorgeous when he smiles. She smiled and looked up at him. "I will," she said. "And if you ever want a sparring partner..." she let her voice trail off as she smirked.

As Cole and Saki stood in the garden, Cole picked up a slight change in Saki's emotions. Being unable to resist, Cole looked into her mind and read her thoughts. He smirked inwardly as he picked up on her thoughts an decided to return the compliment.
"Thank you, Saki. You are quite beautiful your self when you smile."

Travis appeared in the garden and looked for Cole. He spotted his friend talking to a young lady. He decided that he could wait and walked over to the statue of Cole's mother. He had never met her, but his grandfather had told him stories. He remembered the time Draconus explained how he met his wife.
I had just won the freedom of a dwarf named Ugmar. It had been a bitter fight. It was us two against ten other teams. We took out one team at a time while the others fought in the middle. Ugmar was drinking the eintire time, but fought all the better for it. When the team of trolls charged at us we both used our fire breath. Ugmar vomited and used his Ki to ignite the alcohol. Well we wone and that's that. When we went into town, we were invited to 'Becca's place. While drinks were served, in walked the most gorgeous girl in the world. That was your grandma...
He shook himself into reality. "Thank you." he reached out and toug=ched the statue.

Saki made a vain attempt to not blush so furiously at Cole's comment, but it failed. She smiled and looked up at him, laughig a bit. "You aren't so bad yourself." She shook her head. "Your compliments are appreciated. However, i know I'm not that beautiful." she smiled. "You, on the otherhand, have a beauty that surpasses my own." she didn't mean it to sound insulting, and hurriedly added, "not that you look... womanly or anything."

A soft smile crossed Cole's lips as he watched Saki blush. Contrary to what she thought, Saki was very beautiful. her concern over insulting Cole was rather touching...
"There is no need to worry Saki, I've been told I have feminine features. It comes from being what I am... anyways, so how is the rest of your family doing these days?"
Cole asked, resisting the ure to read her mind and find out if Saki's blood contain more of the Strongwright traits then she knew...

Saki turned deep red when cole made the comment about womanly features. Looking at the floor, which had rapidly become very interesting. Saki replied, "Oh, they're allright, I guess. My dad passed away a few years ago, though. I'm still not used to it..." her eyes filled with sadness.

Placing a comforting hand upon her shoulder, Cole looked into Saki's eyes. Her sadness at the loss of her father was purly natural but it still hurt Cole to see any fair lady look sad.
"I'm certain your father's spirit knows rest and is at peace. I'm sure he is watching over you, keeping you within his heart. Always remember, those who have left this world are never lost to us as long as we keep them in our hearts and in our thoughts."
Cole's eyes drifted up to the statue of his mother. Though she may have passed away centuries ago, she has always been in Cole's heart.
