Chloe hopped off of the Arcanine as soon as she was able to, not wanting to annoy Ookami.
"Thanks so much for giving me a lift," she offered to the Arcanine with a grateful smile, before turning her attention to Julian.
"I think I might try my hand in the Safari Zone while you're in the gym," she admitted, once she had gotten her bearings in town.
"I've been wanting to catch several Pokemon here in Kanto, and there are some that I might be able to snag while here, so I thought I might as well try my hand at that while you're battling," she smiled.
"Last time I was here it was under maintenance or something, so I wasn't able to explore it any."

"I'll meet up with you back by the gym once you're done, kay?" she offered, offering Julian's hand a light squeeze, as she called Lilie from her Pokeball. She turned to the Chikorita, smiling.
"Care to join me?" she asked the grass type, who grinned happily, trotting on down the path in front of Chloe.
"We'll be back soon," she offered to Julian, before heading north through the town. It took a couple of sets of directions from the townspeople, before she was able to discover the main street that eventually led to the Zone.

Chloe looked up as a cry from overhead caught her attention. She caught the sight of the Pidgeotto diving at her from above, as the bird's silhouette cut across the sun momentarily.
"Hm. We seem to be attracting lots of birds today, don't we?" Chloe asked Lilie, who shrugged, watching the bird approach them. Chloe reached for her belt, calling out Enyo from her Pokeball. The little Aron looked up at the bird, before looking back to Chloe, who gave the affirming nod.
"This one's all yours," she promised the steel type with a smile. She wouldn't be interrupting this battle. For one, Enyo would have little difficulty resisting anything the Pidgeotto could throw at it.
"Kay, use an Iron Head once it gets close enough to strike," Chloe instructed Enyo, who had her own plans. The little Aron reversed her magnetism once again, hovering. She seemed a bit better at it now. As the Pidgeotto veered to dive at the Aron, Enyo charged, virtually running on air as she slammed into the bird.
The Pidgeotto let out a screech, retaliating with a Gust. Enyo was little more than knocked off balance momentarily. You gotta love dual resistances, Chloe mused, as she called to her partner.
"Another Iron Head!" she instructed, as Enyo charged once more at the Pidgeotto. The bird used a Tackle, as Chloe called for one last Iron Head from Enyo to finish off the Pidgeotto. The bird let out an indignant squawk, flapping off to flee, as Chloe recalled Enyo.
"Thanks a ton, you did awesome," she praised the Aron, before finishing the trip to the Safari Zone.
Chloe was more than a bit surprised to discover that while the Zone was free to capture as many Pokemon as you wished, you just weren't allowed to use any of your existing Pokemon.
"But that's the rules," the attendant at the front desk explained, in response to Chloe's sigh. Daimon would have been awesome in weakening most of the Pokemon just enough so that they'd be easy to capture.
"Ah well, sure," Chloe agreed. After all, she might as well give it a shot, right?
"Very well, we'll look after your Pokemon while you're gone," the receptionist nodded with a smile, holding out her hand. Chloe recalled Lilie, and handed over all her party.
"Alright, here you are," the woman handed Chloe several Safari Balls, which she stashed in her bag, "Good luck!"

Nezumi did a flip and knocked the pokeball back into Julian's hand with her tail. Nezumi landed on the Gym floor gracefully and glared at the crobat. "Ok nezumi your specialty please." Nezumi smiled and ran towards the flying pokemon. When she was only about two feet away from the trget she launched herself into the air and landed on the crobat, unleashing a thunderbolt.
