Still holding the small canvas picture of her family, and garbed in the new dress Celestia had given her, Jamie didn't squirm around as she was pulled up next to the grown woman. It was warm and the bed was quite soft, she entertained her mind with thoughts of what things had been like back before her father and her had set sail again from their home port. Her baby brother couldn't talk yet, only having just mastered crawling. Did her mother know..?

Jamie fell asleep in mid-thought, these were things most children really couldn't comprehend, thus the loss of her words...

Having gotten used to being up at nights, Celestra was wide awake.
Currently brushing her long pale blue locks.
Her eyes glowing out at the night skies.
She seems to be thinking deeply.
It even seems as if she's communing with the gods with her far away look.
She seemed to glow lightly, or was it the nature that she was as pale as the moonlight shining on her skin?
It's almost being in a dream state watching her.
"You wish me to go to Lyr my goddess?"
She was clearly talking to something, or someone, but there was nobody around. But there was a sense of serenity and peace.
"There's something there? I know the doctor is there. ? ? ? I see. As you wish goddess. I shall do as you ask. May I take the child with me?"
She nodded once, then there was silence.
"Okay. You wish me to take another with me? Whatever for? I am in a hurry to save our people my goddess."
There was a frown on her face. Then another nod.
"I see. I guess that do make sense. I shall seek this woman tomorrow then? No? Tonight?"
Another furrow of her brows then another nod.
"I understand. It shall be done as you ask. Yes. . . It is time to reunite with our sister tribes."

Celestra looked down as her eyes returned to their normal human look.
Braiding up her hair she slide down the window frame.
Redressing in her all white leather outfit.
Her only weapon were some daggers, some where hidden.
A bow and arrow and a whip for just incase.
Thinking if she should leave the child and let her sleep while she fetch the woman her goddess speak of.
Or wait for the child to wake up.
She thought of the second option. There's no reason to alarm the child any further then needs be.

The Market crowd for the most part had dispersed with the daylight, only a few now silent hawkers counting their days earnings and ordering their remainding wares. Eithne moved down the near-deserted street almost silently, having spent the day doing relativly little aside from preparing to take her leave of the River City. Her journey would take her north from here, towards the lands of Lyr, and onwards to the Ancient mana wells of the former Republic.

Pausing, an inn would have been nice but an un-needed cost for her. Glancing up at random, the scarfed woman blinked her grey eyes to see someone garbed all in white sliding into the upper window of a nearby building. As luck would have it that place seemed to be an inn itself, was the person a thief?

Eithne held little mana within her, but quickly began to make her way towards the building. Fisting one gloved hand, a small amount of red light began to collect around her fingers. Warry of the fragile building materials, she climbed over a large pule of wood errected to feed the inn's fires to make it to the second floor. Opening her hands, a tiny orb of flame very loosly packed together glowed against her palm, with the full movement of her arm the Runist flung the orb as if to have it ram into the window. It would cause no damage, just a flash of flame with which to alert this 'thief'.

((Mis-interpretation ish convinent 3nodding ))

((YES it is Sunny, XD And an amuzing way to make friends? XD ))

Celestra felt the sudden heat in the mana around her.
Her eyes narrowed down.
Who in their right mind would send a fire in a room?
Then her eyes widened, the child!
Raising her hands quickly. The left one. Where the rune of water now fires brightly a brilliant aquamarine color.
"Heed my will, O spirit of water. All act as one, And one as all. Now rise, Rise as one Great Wave!"
'Bloosssh!' (sound effects are great! XD)
The particales in the air solidify enough to become a water. Collecting and molding together to become one mass of watery waves that splashes out of the window to disperse the fire.
Poking her head out the window.
Glowing blue eyes glares down at grey ones. Her voice soft yet angered.
"There is a child here, what reason do you have to send a fire at me?"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 18, 2006 7:23 pm

The fire had been minute, hardly enough to catch and just slightly scathing the window's sill before blowing itself out. Eithne had moved in behind it though, consiquently becoming drenched as water flowed out of the window. She ended up reaching out and grasping the sill to keep from falling backwards, so much mana and so quickly used too!

"If there is a child, then what reason is there for one to go skulking around through windows in the dead of night?" Was her forceful and heated reply. The black lengths of her scarf clung around her mouth and made her words sound almost slurred, her loose clothing clinging to her skin underneath while the rest simply beaded and fell from her belt, arms, and ankles.

She'd been splashed with water, with water. In the lands of the Geosn isles it wasn't something most payed much attention to, but Eithne had seen bloody fighting break out over water holes a child could hop across, finding herself drenched with wasted water was nearly a true crime in the desert lands. It was written in no texts, but it was the law of the land itself.

Glowing blue eyes lowered itself eye to eye with grey one.
And the room suddenly feels much colder.
"What i do in my room is my concern. As far as I can tell, you are the strange one here."
She pulled the cloak off her head, in case she needed to fight this stranger. Long pale blue hair spilt down her back. As very pale skin glowed at the only exposed spots of her body.
Already the goddess mark glows brightly on her hand.
"If a fight you want, I shall, but it will not be done in front of a child. I will not, and cannot allow one so young to get hurt."
Her voice ringed with command and quite regal. Even in her anger it remained like a melody of crystals, as if singing, surreal and calm. It is apparent this one did not like fighting unless truely necessarsary. But will fight to protect who ever asks of it.
Mana were starting to condense around her. Forming into floating liquids in the air.
"But do get this right. I have, or will ever, be a theif."

Something caught her eye, and it wasn't the child sleeping in the bed behind the woman nor anything else in the room. She climbed in fluidly through the window, hearing the woman's voice and the tones which she commanded.

With a quick snap, her gloved fingers grasped the other woman's wrist, bringing it up with a firm jerk across her body as if to study the rune glowing on the back of her hand. Grey eyes moved across the woman's clothing again, that red glow picking up again and centering along her spine. Heat started to radiate out, and she dropped the woman's hand to take a step back. Eithne was merely drying herself though, the energy not reaching out far at all so as to use as little mana as possible.

"So..." She spoke in a gentle tone, her voice sounding a tad to lax, "The traitors see fit to leave their burrows? And only after the last Fore-runner clan is dead, of course."

A bit of histrory; The Fore-runner Tribes had been known throughout the Deserts through the course of the war, and they had been the ones to drive a number of the other clans into the Mountains when the war had started to pick up. Some Tribes believed that the Fore-Runners had been escorts, protectors, but in general the clans themselves had always seen themselves as the ones who drove the weaker members of the Nation away so as to keep their from comprimising the safety of the destert itself.

"What right do Traitors have to walk in a world they didn't help to protect?" She wasn't going to attack this woman though, she didn't know her, and she hadn't done any real harm. Her clothing dried, the red glow of her runes faded, and Eithne merely folded her arms with a hard look in her eyes.

Celestra raised an eyebrow then returned it down.
"Why fight a war that was stupid and senseless?"
She twirled around and covered the child from the chill she had made.
"We had warned the people many a times. That the mana will dry out at the constant use. But was our word heeded? Ask yourself this question before you call me a traitor. Why turn your head on your own sister when she tried to warn you before this could happen? The mess that had started could have been prevented. If only one would listen. But alas. None did. We were mocked. Branded as heresay. A traitor to the goddess and the gods for implying that the mana would dry out. We were driven out of the lands, we did not left. We tried to reason. But it goes to deaf ears. And so we left. And with the star-eyed goddess persmission no less. To leave for the mountains. We did as she asked."
She sighed heavily. Brushing the girls hair back away from her face.
"You know not the pain we had to go though. To know our own sisters did not believe us enough to listen. But that is of the past. I will not dwell on it no more. We've done what we could. And now. I must embark to new lands to save my people. Call me a traitor if you want. I could care less. All I care is that my people are saved."

"Your forefathers lamenting about how ours did not listen years before when the enemy was already pressing our boarders couldn't have been expected to go well. The cause of the war means little when Sisters will not defend Sisters, and instead deside to never bear arms at all."

Whether or not Eithne's own words were true was up for debate, generations of animosity rarely left room in a Tribe for both sides to be seen fairly. The same could be said for all histories passed through word-of-mouth, not even those in the Mountains could possibly have held a true record of everything which had happened. Times had simply been to chaotic, and even if the Rouges had something, no Fore Runner would ever believe it to be anything more than a falsehood and lie.

"I told you, we no longer care. We just want to be left alone."
Folding the gears she's brought with her from her home.
And a more current map.
"Why are you here anyways. Want to rub on my face how cowardly we are? Just say it and be gone already. What you say no longer has meaning. The dead are dead now."
Time to time she would check on the child. Keeping her voice low as not to disturbe her.
"My time is running short enough as it is. I must get to Lyr, even if I have to 'Jump' there."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 18, 2006 8:42 pm

Eithne was already moving to put herself back through the window as the woman spoke again, earning herself a heated glare from the Desert Runist, but no verbal reply until the name Lyr floated towards her.

"Another one on a pilgrimage then?" She said shortly, meaning for it to be an ending statement, but shooting the other woman another hard look before she would make to actually leave.

Ryushi was not in his ceremonial robes, even if that was something he was required to do. Hah, like that would stop him. The son of Reitoku looked about, dressed in the normal, loose clothing typical of the Geosns. Some would compare it to a very, very manly dress. Sandals clicked on the streets- not many recognized him, there were hardly any people out on the streets to begin with, but those who did said nothing, and did very well at pretending not to notice.

Ah, freedom... Ryushi let a spark of light bob around him to light his path.

"Dear little one? Can you wake now? Or are you still sleepy? . . . "
She waited enough for the child to move or something at least.
"We're going to Lyr. . . Do you want to go with me?"
She looked at the little innocence. A faint smile over her lips.
Talking to herself almost.
"At least you wouldn't judge me. Or would you? If you knew?"
Shaking her head.
"I shouldn't let such things bother me. My people are dying. I must think of them before myself. I will, by the goddess. Find a doctor willing to come. . or at least gather enough medicine for the healers to learn on their own."
A flash of worry crosses her eyes. And crystal tears falls only to be frozzen as soon as it touches her cheeks.
"If there is a home to go to. . I've been gone for awhile."

Eithne wasn't sure if any of the other Runists words had been directed at herself or the small child apparently resting in the bed. Another Rouge? She wouldn't begrudge a child if it were so, and kept from saying anything as the woman mentioned saving her people and expressed worries for being to late. She would get no sympathy from a Fore Runner.

"Are you to tell me that your people know anything of the outside world in this age? Do you even know where Lyr is?"

------------

Jamie shifted in the bed slightly, rubbing her noes against the pillow and reaching up to wrap her arms around it lazily. Pulling it under her chin, her eyes opened lazily as her tangled hair covering her face slightly. She was half awake, half not, emerald eyes looked up towards Celestra in a cloudy way, then dozing towards the window where the woman in odd brown colours was sitting on the sill. That there had been tense words a moment or two ago didn't register, few Artificers or Lyrans in general could sense mana unless in huge quantities.
