Ruby honestly wanted a peaceful day. Sadly that flew out the window. Still, they were able to get some time to relax and have fun. It would have to do. It was late that night when they decided it was time to head back. She was in the process of recalling Tiamat when her cousin asked her about her parents. She must not have known but her parents were out of town at the moment. It was bad timing she came when they left but they would make it back before she needed to leave. "Parents are not in town. they went to Galar for a week. I had no plans really aside from finding you."

Hailie hung out with the two older girls on the beach for lack of anything better to do, and because it seemed safest right now. Toward evening, she rode back to Malie City with them and was told by Sapphire that she should stay here. "We will," she responded, shuddering to think of what might be out there in the dark. She had been attacked and Glaceon nearly stolen in the middle of the day, so imagine what horrors night must bring! Getting lost sounded like one of the scariest of all. Hailie continued to hang out for the moment though, listening to Sapphire and Ruby discuss dinner plans.

Mirzam was hit with Body Slam, which knocked his paws out from under him and caused him to hit the ground hard with a grunt. He scrambled upright and faced Pancham, and this time loosed a Fire Spin at Pancham.

Mirzam tried to dodge, but he was grabbed by Pancham and took a severe Crunch to the left front side of his body. His tails twitched and he hissed. He didn't have much health left but he was going to win or go down trying. He turned his muzzle toward Pancham and blasted another Flamethrower at him point-blank, unless Pancham were to dodge away.

Mirzam put his ears back as sand began to pummel his body, stinging his eyes and nose especially. He could see through his periphery that Judge had become a Mega Steelix, but he could spare no additional thought to that fact because of his current engagement with Pancham. His Flamethrower had hit but now the Pancham had grabbed him again and threw him hard. Mirzam landed on his side near where Judge and Sableye were fighting, bounced once, and then landed again and went still, having been knocked out as well.

Both fights ended. The fight between the two little wild Pokemon (were they wild? They sure seemed to act on their own) finished with a draw, and the fight between Ms. Monitor and Mr. Merrimack had been intense and brutal but now ended when Monitor returned Sableye, claiming that Mr. Merrimack's Steelix had suffered enough. Perhaps she had cut her own impending loss short, or perhaps she really had taken pity on Judge. It might be wise for Team Rocket to not seriously damage their own Pokemon. Kirby turned his head away and closed his eyes, glad that there had been no causalities. It had been hard to watch these Pokemon seriously trying to hurt each other. This was why he preferred contests. He heard his name and his eyes shot open. He looked to see that Admin Trahlive had joined them, and had seen the fight. "That was... impressive. They're very strong," Kirby responded.







Ken had been both frightened and inspired by the fight. It was hard not to be afraid of the overwhelming power that the Pokemon had displayed, especially the Shadow Pokemon, and to know how easily they could end a human. But humans controlled Pokemon, and these Shadow Pokemon's powers were Team Rocket's powers. That could be his power if he worked hard at it and proved himself, and that was the inspiring part. He gasped and jumped when a new voice appeared, and promptly hoped that no one had noticed him being startled. He wondered how long the Admin had been watching for. He was surprised that the Admin even knew his name and didn't just call him "grunt" like others tended to. "That was great!" Ken answered enthusiastically. "Sir," he remembered his courtesy. "With more of these, Team Rocket will be unstoppable!"

Ken listened with excitement, hazel eyes widening as Trahlive explained that Shadow Pokemon were the result of Serum R. Then he talked of bringing Shadow Pokemon to light as Team Rocket committed an assault on Alola. Ken was practically buzzing with eagerness. "Really? Us?" he asked incredulously, hardly able to contain his anticipation. He immediately gave over Zubat and Rattata's Pokeballs and then followed after the Dreadnought.







Kirby cleared his throat softly but said nothing as he listened to Trahlive discuss the Shadow Pokemon, and the plan to unleash them upon Alola. He was just going to give them some? Kirby was doubtful about them maintaining control of these Shadow Pokemon. But he couldn't refuse, either. So he lifted his chin with determination and made to follow after Mr. Merrimack. Ms. Monitor asked that they hand over their wounded Pokemon. "I can tend to mine myself, thank you, ma'am," Kirby said politely.

Kirby was glad there was no issue with him holding onto his own Pokemon. He knew he was walking a fine line here, but that took off some pressure. At least until the next big thing, which was about to happen. He followed after Mr. Merrimack, matching his pace but staying a respectful distance behind the severe man. He certainly did not wish to be paired with the nastiest, most vicious Shadow Pokemon. He wondered if they had a more... mellow one that he might be able to work with. Perhaps one that was considered a failure as far as Shadow Pokemon went, and that Kirby could offer to take under his wing and train up to par.








Ken walked briskly behind and to the side of the Dreadnought like some loyal little dog. His heart raced with a blending of excitement, anticipation, fear, and worry. He hoped he would be able to control a Shadow Pokemon and that it would not turn on him. It didn't look like either of the two that he had just seen battle had been disobedient to their masters. He began to daydream about the things he would do with a Shadow Pokemon. He was going to go for the biggest, strongest, meanest one!
