Caffeinated Autumn sigishooter Thank you. He is doing better thankfully. It's gonna be a long recovery but he is going to be alright. My mum and I went and visited him yesterday so yeah. My mum thinks it's okay for me to do a healing spell. Anyway, how has being at home been going? It's too bad you can't really practice your magic there. Oh that's good to hear. I'm really glad he's doing better! And homes been alright! Much more relaxed. Still trying to get my things together. My desk broke on the way here so I haven't been able to get that and my altar back in my room so I've only really been doing some pendulum and rune studies lately again. I'm hoping once my altar is back I can do some candle magic again cause that'll go pretty un-noticed. (:

sigishooter Hey! It's recently come to my attention I'm probably not the only practicing witch in this guild so I thought I'd extend a nice new thread. I'm a secular witch--no religious affiliation or nothin, just divination and good will practices for me. I only recently started practicing as of roughly eight months ago I think? I'm very new to it and wanna meet more folks and discuss....I dunno, whatever! What do you guys do? And if you aren't one but are interested in it, that's cool too! Feel free to ask stuff maybe someone will have some answers smile As for me, I really only focus on divination with tarot cards and my crystal pendulum at the moment as well as minor cleansing spells, sigils (mostly gender related) and charms. I haven't had the chance to really dip into much else yet. Iv not been active the last few months but im back. Saw this post at the top of the list. Im also a practicing which in about the same area of practice as yourself. Tarot, runes and such. Iv stuck away from spells and such due to not having a teacher and not wanting to deep into things i know nothing about. Can i ask what type of deck you have a? i have a Devient moon and Wild-wood deck. The moon deck is my favored though.

It's still not in my room since we'll have to move it up stairs and it's quite heavy and I haven't been able to get around to it so...no altar rn for me. sad all my witch things are kinda still packed away save my pendulum, tarot deck and runes haha. Not really im kinda reserved with what i do. i stick to the things i know and generally practice them until iv perfected the skill before trying to take on new skills plus until i become pagan i was never very religious at all so its kinga a big switch over from being pretty much atheist to pagan sweatdrop

I've been a practicing witch for a little over 7 years. I've done a fair number of things; spells, tarot, runes, astral projection, reiki, voodoo, and some stuff with dreams but I can't think of the technical terms at the moment. I've always been very passionate about witchcraft and energy work. I practice alone and think it best that way. I love talking about it, sharing experiences and teaching occasionally. I'm very picky about who I choose to teach though. I've met some crazy people. I don't have almost any of my tools anymore. It's a house rule that when leaving a negative residence, nothing that can hold on to negativity comes with when I move. However useful tools are, I don't really need them anymore to be effective, they're just helpful. I'll be happy when I have the money to invest in new tools lol

Yeah, occasionally there's something special that requires really sitting down at an alter and doing the dramatic thing you see in movies lol but magick is a matter of channeling rather than something crazy like selling your soul to a demon in exchange for the love of your life. lol People who have been practicing for years and really understand witchcraft or whatever you want to call it, they put it into every moment of their life in different ways. You know? Right now I'm mostly focused on recentering myself and reconnecting with the energy of life. I had gotten out of the habit in the last few months just because of life getting crazy, and especially because of rediscovering myself and understanding where I stand on the transgender spectrum, I'm having to recenter everything to who I am now rather than who I was when I started. You have to update your energy and practice just like your clothes lol
