Anything Keegan said was always right, and now that he was here Tobias was sure he'd have a plan. His eyes had drifted to Kobe to give a reassuring smile before he noticed the pink litch freshling seemed like she wanted to go. Bending over, he extended his hand and squeezed her shoulder, fingers still trembling despite the fact his pack had arrived.
"Thank you." He whispered, a grateful smile touching the nervous pups face. "I'm Tobias. If you need anything come find me. I'll return the favor." He promised before he stood up, finally catching on that Keegan was about to speak, tail flicking once. He had a plan, right? He'd fix this, right?
A sigh of relief escaped him when Keegan confirmed he wouldn't allow the pack to break, shoulders slowly lowering. He wasn't completely calm, no. He wouldn't be until this... fiasco was over. His head turned to speak to Kobe, voice cut off when Keegan stepped closer. His head snapped to give Keegan his attention, eyes widening and body taking a half step backwards in surprise.
"Wha–" Keegan's forehead touched his, silencing any attempt to question the other Grimm's actions. His heart fluttered, a flush touching his cheeks as a large paw wrapped around him, hands raising slightly in confusion. Yet, it was comforting, and their locked gaze left him, for a second, deaf. Suddenly, he couldn't hear the chaos. Suddenly, he was safe. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere safe. Somewhere with Keegan.
And then it was over as quick as it started. Keegan pulled away and Tobias stepped backwards a step, flushing furiously as he nervously looked away, hands wringing together. "A-Ah, s-so, we all should stick together! To make su- to make sure no one gets lost." Frazzled, the Grimm turned to focus on Kobe and Crispin, extending a hand to touch their heads. Now his pack was here. He was safe.

"Kobe! Nah bro. You didn't miss too much." The small long haired pale grim looked relieved to see his brother, even if he'd ascended the heights of a junior in order to feel safe. He tried to explain, filling those present on what had been said so far to the best of his recollection.
Seeing more of his pack mates, the boy reflectively moved closer to them. While he was alpha in title, he had begun to think a lot about what his brother had told him about Keegan and Tobias. The white red eye'd grim had given up his dream of being an alpha to help his friends, something Crispin found was honorable and beyond selfless. The other orange boy was nervous and shy even if he to was older. He was really nice however, and just was looking for answers like most of the various nightmares assembled.
Honestly, Crispin had a lot of thinking to do. Maybe after this craziness here in the gardens perhaps his pack-mates could all have a chance to talk together. Something about the way the other was so protective made Cris consider the option of letting him be their acting alpha. Cris didn't have to give up whom he was just because he wasn't a leader. A strong healthy bond was way more important to him then some title. He wanted them all to be happy, and help better themselves as a whole. He was just a freshling..how was he supposed to do that by himself? Well of course he was never alone, not with his pack.
"I won't go..not without you guys and it being okay with everyone. I like learning here and we don't know what we'd be getting ourselves into. And what if we got separated." Crispin whispered the last part, his tail swishing in agitation. The small boy reached up and gripped at Keegan's shirt momentarily, then looked to Tobias as his other paw held another handful of clothing material given he'd touched his head first. "We are like a family to after-all right? We'll stick together yeah!" He added, believing that was part of the true meaning of a pack. It was the family you choose to be part of. His twin earned a smile, as he looked up at him.
His eyes darting back to Myles and Athena with reservation. What if they were split up and sent to other tribes? The idea made him clutch at the others a little tighter.

Giving Tobias a soothing pat on the back as she listened to this Myles try to explain, Zahneel couldn't help but sigh. Everyone had fair points and she really did not like the idea of being carted off to live with strangers.
Not even if those strangers were other Grimm.
And when Myles had his little outburst and almost seemed to deflate, the female grimm's golden eyes narrowed as she studied him and the nixie girl.
"Consider this from our point of view," she said softly. "What if the Headmistress appeared on your doorstep demanding you go to live among strangers. You'd probably be just as confused and worried as a lot of us are."
Swishing her tail pensively, she considered the knowledge that they'd recieved thus far. It was good enough, she supposed. And much as she longed for a pack, doing it this way felt plain wrong.
"Perhaps you could ask your Shaman to send some of your packmates to live here and teach us. All of us. Not just Grimm, but everyone. It's a much better plan than expecting everyone to skip about happily just on the say so of a bunch of strangers. No offense meant, of course."
Deep down, she felt terribly sorry for Myles, who had, so obviously, expected a much different reaction to his pack's grand gesture.

When Batholith smiled down at him Foras immediately mimicked him. It took some effort to get a smile out of him most of the time, but there was something about this kind older Imp hybrid that Foras just really liked. He was so very nice to him. He was very cool looking as well, a plus in the young Freshlings eyes.
When he knelt down to his level and offered his hand Foras looked at it for a second, considering. Then her tucked his notebook under his left arm and let Batholith take his smaller hand in his. Her locked eyes with the other Nightmare, form this close he could see just how colorful his eyes were. "Okay!" His tail was tagging behind him, it probably looked a bit odd not being a full Grimm tail, but it often acted as such.
Their little moment was interrupted by someone trying to get his attention. Foras looked over to the crowd as the commotion started, and than back up to Batholith when he promised to return. "I'll stay right here!" And he did just that. He sat down with his back against the column. He flipped to a new page in his notebook and started to doodle.

Jezebeth had been listening to the conversation as she sat on the edge of the fountain. To be honest, she was really more interested in this apparent 'Nixie' that had appeared out of the blue. She had never read about them in books before and no teacher had made mention of them either! Sure, she didn't want her fellow Grimm students to be taken by force, but this Nixie was just so interesting.
She listened to the conversation however, and could see that several of the Grimm's were upset. Surely no one would take them by force, right? She had a feeling Headmistress Ava wouldn't let anyone get away with that, at least not easily. Would there be violence? She could hardly imagine it coming to that. She hadn't known a world of violence, so it was hard to imagine really.
An idea came to her though. "What if we did some sort of exchange? Temporary of course! Like, some of your Grimm could join us here. And some of our Grimm, or other students interested in you all, could join your people? In these Nixie schools?" That seemed like a logical reason to her! Plus it was fair that way! This way all of the Grimm could see the different ways they could possibly live their lives, and make the best decision for themselves!

Enoukn had heard all the ruckus going on, and his curiosity had gotten the better of him. He had done his best to sneak outside - mainly because Jezebeth was nowhere to be found inside! He'd looked everywhere too. Her room, the library, the cafeteria. The little bapho freshling was actually on the verge of panic, and his little hooves clip-clopped quickly against the floor of the academy as he made his way outside.
Perhaps it was a trick of the clouds, but it almost seemed as if Jezebeth was highlighted as she sat on the edge of the fountain. Granted, she was near some rather... interesting people - a Nightmare he'd never seen before and others. But his soul focus was of course - Jezebeth. HIS friend.
Moving with determination and speed, Enoukn quickly made it to Jezebeth's side and grabbed her hand. "Jezzie, what's going on?" He asked, a bit confused at to why everyone seemed so... Unhappy.
Yue knew the moment that she saw the older Grimm that she was going to end up losing Tobias into the crowd. Sure enough moments later she ended up losing Tobias into the crowd. She was torn however because Tobias wanted to so badly learn about his own culture. She remembered the challenge it was when he was younger, and it felt horrible knowing she couldn’t help. Luckily other grimm soul stones had been awoken but…
Maybe she could go find him later, see how it was doing. However maybe Grimm weren’t what Tobias had hoped and maybe… ugh she was just going to go crazy at this rate and Tobias was family. She was just going to find him and stay in the background just in case he needed her. She quickly found where everyone was sitting around talking next to a fountain and teleported into a tree content to hold Sor while as she watched what was going on. The whole thing excited her because it was history in the making but she also knew how important it was to some of the Grimm that had wondered for so long about their culture.
Eventually however watching Tobias pulled the last thread of resistance that was keeping her watching from the sidelines snapped and she slid down moving over to him, although she stopped since during her escape of the tree Tobias's pack had shown up. of course now she was out of the tree. Ah well she was down might as well walk over it wasnt as if Tobias's pack didnt know her by now.

Athena melted into Myles, closing her eyes as she just tried to calm down, crying softly into his chest. She was scared, she didn't know what to do, everything seemed so hard. She was tired, she was so scared, she just wanted to go home where the air didn't hurt her and where everything was fine. She didn't want to cry in front of so many people, but...but this...
"I don't know...Dad said it would be easy...But I want to go home." She cried softly, burying her face in him more.
The sound caught her like a storm, removing all senses but hearing. The girl, the strange girl who smelled of something foreign, was crying. She barely could hear her words, too focused on the soft sounds of sobs. Her ears flicked, paw extending out and body kneeling down on the ground once more. It took a second to find Athena's knee, but once she had she squeezed it reassuringly.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, low enough for just the couple to hear. "We aren't trying to overwhelm you. We're just scared, too. A whole new life is being presented to us and we just don't know what to do." She maneuvered to sit beside the girl, leaning gently against her.
"Should we start from the beginning? I'm Amy. Where are you from? Tell us about yourselves? We've been so rude, we haven't asked to know more about you two!"

Jezebeth was a bit startled when Enoukn popped out of the crowd. Oh no! Why hadn't she thought to go to him when all of this 'chaos' started? She should have, but she had just been so caught up in figuring out who this Nixie girl was on their campus. Forgive her friend, she had been distracted by her own curiosity! She tugged at his hand, encouraging him to take a seat next to her on the fountain.
"This is Myles and Athena. They come form a land in thte north where Grimms are! And Nixie, that's what Athena is! I've never heard of them before, but she seems nice. But...there's some worry that the Grimm here might be taken from us..." She said the last part in more of a whisper, not wanting to upset anyone around them. She couldn't imagine it would come to that. nope. Ava wouldn't let them.
She also noticed than that Athena was crying. A dark colored Grimm came over to join them by the fountain, offering her comfort. Jezebeth put on a soft smile. "Ah yes! We'd love to hear more about you two. I've never been outside of the academy myself! So this is all rather...fascinating in a way!" She kept a whole of Enoukn's hand as she spoke, but leaned over to show the Nixie and encourages smile.
Whoa, that was a lot of heavy stuff going on. Enoukn wasn't sure what to think of it either. He gave Jezzie's hand a squeeze and hopped up onto the fountain with her. He was sure that nothing bad would happen - but still that was a lot to think about. Though the Nixie did draw more of his curiosity now that his initial panic had subsided.
"Hi!" Enoukn said waving his free hand and trying to smile at the Nixie and the Grim she was with. He watched the older Grimm approach and quieted a little. The bigger kid could handle this right?
Nodding his head in time with Jezebeth's words he agreed. He would very much like to learn about the Nixie, their lands up north - what plants and animal life grew there... Couldn't ever not learn enough!

He let Athena shift and put her face in his chest. His arms firmly around her. They were the only thing each other had right now, and he wasn't going to let anyone hurt her. "I wanna go home too..." he said softly. "I miss Mom and Dad and Cansu..." he sighed and looked up as the blind Grimm shifted and leaned slightly against Athena.
"Well...we're from Athena's dad's colony. It's called Silverfish City. It's underwater in a big enchanted bubble. It's got the only portal in Northern Nixie territory." he said taking a deep breath and letting Athena chime in if she wanted too.
She nuzzled in deeply, looking up when the other Grimm touched her. She wanted badly to cling to her too, but wasn't sure if she'd appreciate that. Slowly though, she touched her hand, just to let her non-verbally know that it was appreciated...
"I'm Athena...I'm a Nixie and my dad's the Elder...I..uhm..." She paused, needing to think, "I really like swimming...and I want to be an Elder someday too...But my Dad doesn't like me very much since...since I'm too much like my mom..." She sniffled, leaning into Myles a little more. "She was killed by a shark when I was still a stone..." The tears started again, but she tried to keep going, "Dad says I'm too much like her...and in the bad way...so...I-I guess...." She choked up, unable to continue.

"Athena...we've been over this. He doesn't hate you! He's never said he hates you, sweetheart. He loves you, I swear he does!" he sighed, this wasn't really the time or place to get into Athena's issues with her father, but since they were out, he may as well comfort her over them. "He's just...gruff, but he loves you Athena..." his ears flicked back against his head and he made her look him in the eye so she could see how much he loved her and wanted her to be okay.
Kobe watched as Keegan touched foreheads with Tobias, trying to reach his tiny arms around to hug them both. He couldn't. He settled with hugging Keegan tightly, listening to what was going on. Everything seemed so dramatic. The strangers coming in to take all the grimms, the arguing, the worry, the fear and now crying. Kobe sighed, his smile fading into a sad frown. Even if Keegan had said they'd all be okay and he completely trusted him... Would these people be okay? There was talk of an sickness that killed some of their tribe.. a lot of them.
Kobe moved up on Keegan a bit, sitting on his shoulders. "I heard that you said that we would be home and accepted with you guys..." He started, looking down to his packmates before looking to Myles again. "How is your place any different from here?" He asked, patting Keegan's head. "Here, I have my pack who love and accept me no matter what... I..no, we all have had caretakers and teachers caring, loving and accepting us ever since we were summoned from our crystals." He explained, "I-I understand... that we'd learn more grimm stuff... but why does that mean we all have to make a choice to go with you or not?... Why must we abandon our lives we've made here... abandon our homes to follow you." His smile was completely gone, no sign of it. His eyes were filled with sadness. "Ever since I could remember.. I've wanted to know more about my kind. I needed to know about what my people were like.. But I never considered leaving my life here for it.. Why? Why should we leave our homes for yours?" Kobe clung tightly to Keegan, rather proud of his little speech.. now he felt sick though...
