[Maintenance]
Unfortunately, Mykanos managed to make the wire wound tightly inside of the 3DMG completely unwind, with a rather rapid, high-pitched metal scraping sound. Wincing only faintly, and in the eyes, he stared at the pile of wire all in a bunch on the table. Hm... that didn't seem to be correct. Gazelle even stared at it too, but didn't say anything.
Carefully, he began to wind the wire back up, trying to replicate how it'd been perfectly lined up before. There was cause to look up when he realized both he and Shun had the same answer. That was pretty cool. But Axel never provided one. Perhaps he didn't want to. That was fine.
But Mykanos was a little curious. "What about you?" he finally spoke up after another pregnant pause, that was probably awkwardly uncomfortably long.

[Maintenance]Shun tensed up, lightly cringing from the sudden metallic screech. He glanced over to the side, seeing a mess of wires now in front of Mykanos. With a furrowed brow, he looked to his own gear. The silence between their snippets of conversation didn't bother him particularly, so he didn't really feel the need to speak up again just yet. He just fiddled with the center piece, turning it over and looking to see where it connected into the gas cannisters.

[Maintenance]Mykanos's noisy mishap made Axel laugh. It was a good-natured laugh, not a mocking one. At least he wasn't the only one who wasn't entirely perfect yet. Picking up his gear, Axel carefully began to take it apart, examing the twisted metal guts of the thing carefully. Even though he wasn't interested in the Survey Corps, someday he would rely on these things. "Garrison, I think," Axel said, poking at a gear. At his poke something rattled loose inside the gear. Axel sighed and started digging for it, trying not to mess it up any worse than it already was. "I don't think I'm bright enough for Military Police." Also, politics. What were those? Axel really didn't understand them. Sproi-oi-oi-oiiing. A wire flew loose, snapping against his hand.

[Blades]
The seventeen year old couldn't help but agree with Farvardin. Her hands dropped with slaps to her sides as the blades drooped diagonal to the grounds. She felt like a bird who had given up on its desire to fly. Swallowing, she tried the exercises again; the muscles in her arms burning despite the light weight of the parring blades. If her limbs had the ability to pop off, she was positive it'd happen at any moment.
One of the blades dropped from her hands as she turned to her work partner. "H-how about... we... we take turns w-watching each other?" she asked in a brisk tone, catching her breath. "W-we can point out a-any mistakes we're, um, w-with the stances." Of course, this was a thinly veiled lie; Shakuntala just wanted some time to rest before it was her go.

[Blades]Farvardin took a moment to catch her breath. She turned to look at Tala and nodded. "Sure we can do that. How else are we to know if we're messing up.... besides Santos showing us. Not sure if I want that to happen." She said taking a deep breath. After that she took up the first stance and began the dance again. It was a good thing she had made sure there was plenty of space between them as when she spun and slashed with both blades, one went flying out of her grasp. It didn't go far before planting itself in the ground since she was swinging down. She stared at it in silence for a moment before walking over to it and pulling it out. "That.... um.... yeah never happened." She whispered a bit fiercely while hanging her head.

Shakuntala choked back a shriek when the parring blade slipped from Farvardin's slip and went careening in the opposite direction of them. Her fingers were knotted into the grass she had sat upon as if steadying the world beneath her rump. Swallowing, she stood and gave a glance around to make sure neither Santos nor Gazelle were around to see her folly. The last thing the copper-skinned girl wanted was to be chewed out for a simple -- albeit, dangerous -- mistake.
"A-agreed," she said in a passive reply to her partner. Indeed, that little mess-up never happened. No siree. Out of sight and out of mind and all of that mumbo jumbo. "T-try again and keep a g-good hold on it this... time," Shakuntala told the girl without the need to emphasize anything. "Your... Y-your form is good, but..." Need she say more, after what happened a few minutes ago? "You can... do it..."

[Blades]Farvardin looked over at Tala and saw her on the ground before quickly getting up. "Yeah better grip. I don't know what happened. Maybe my arms are more tired than I thought." She said with a nod, "Alright form is good. Just gotta work on grip strength." She tightened her grip and began from the beginning. This time she kept a grip on each blade but halfway through she slowed dramatically as her arms were getting tired. The mistakes in her stances and swings were happening more. She never finished the set and had to stop. "Okay... I can't.... done. Your turn Tala." She sheathed the blades and bent over trying catch her breath and ease the aches. Maybe stretching would help..... and a new work out that focused on her arms. Yeah... she'd work on that tonight.

[Blades]"I would imagine they are very sharp.." Alec eyed the end of the blade in his left hand lifting it up and inspecting the gleam of the blade for a moment in silent wonder really. Was this truly enough to cut down a titan? He felt doubtful, but having seen how easily they cut into skin gave him some measure of hope for his nervous energy. "They'd have to be to do the job yea?" He nodded then reassuringly. Surely they wouldn't make them learn with an ineffective tool, it made no sense. "Oh. So do face wounds bleeding wise." He commented absent minded-like. Shrugging slightly, his arm tired from the work out, noting his right arm needed a bit of work, swinging the blade on that side was awkward compared to his left, but he managed at least. After a bit more of their mimicking and training poses and strikes of various, he went to put the blades away as instructed once they were done practicing. This had gone on until he was fairly certain his arms were going to fall off, but made no motion to complain. Alec looked thoughtful gazing over to Gazelle's work station. At least she didn't have the harsh, glaring gaze of Santos. Although while extreme, the red head knew he meant well..no matter how terrifying. "Hm..I think were ready to move on for now? How's the finger?" There was a first aid kit nearby, otherwise the pair would move onto the next portion of their test.

[Blades]Finishing up her fake swipes and cuts, Lenore looked down at her finger. It was still bleeding, and Lenore put it back into her mouth, licking at the wound. "It kinda stings." She murmured, removing the bleeding appendage. ((I stared at the reply page for like an hour and thought up nothing. >.> Sorry for the short reply.))

A very mild shift was contorted on his features to apologetically glance to his partners on either side of him for the noise made. Continuing to wind the wiring with great care, some of it slipping from his grasp, he would glance to see what the other two of his comrades were up to and their progress.
The Garrison....
All at once, Mykanos stopped what he was doing, freezing in place, his eyes unblinking even. Slowly, his lids lowered heavily, veiling those beautiful orbs of his, a hand lifting to gingerly touch the rose brooch dawned at the black ribbon hugging his neck.
He wanted to say something... but it didn't feel right. It wasn't his place to. But still, he held concern. He couldn't help but to. The sound of the wire whipping about pulled him from the encroaching darkness, "I think we'll all get more brighter with all of this training." he chose to respond with. After all, at the end of this, they wouldn't be the same as when they started.

Shakuntala clapped her hands together in affirmation and then nodded her head while standing. "That's all right. Take... T-take as long of a rest as you need." She gave her work partner a smile. Farvardin had tried her hardest, after all. No ones gets it on their first shot.
Taking to the same area the red-haired girl once stood, Shakuntala lowered her arms and tried to tighten what areas of her body were needed to muscle out a good slash. Then, she began, swiping and slicing the paring blades this way and that in the poses Baldy had displayed for them.
She could immediately pick out her faults as she did so. Her slashes were strong, but her movements were sluggish. A titan would gobble her up before she even had a chance to carve out the nape of their neck. Like Farvardin, she couldn't make it through the set, and fell tired to the grass at the start of her third. This was harder than it looked.

[Blades -> Maintenance]Alec nodded his head at her comment about the finger being uncomfortable. "Try not to put that in your mouth, here let me help you." He set his blades down, fetching out materials to clean the cut, and properly give it a quick bandage, satisfied she wouldn't bleed all over the gear for now anyway. "There..good as new." He chuckled grinning at the younger female. Once this was done, he smiled at her amiable like, leading her to the bench, setting his blades down and grabbing a cleaning cloth so they could be wiped down before being replaced..not there was much on them so the task was relevantly simple. Applying oil to the blades, he took his time, before returning them to the home in their cartilages. "Do you know what branch youre thinking of trying for yet Lenore?" Alec asked of his companion curiously after a few moments of silence. Reaching for the large box he'd put his blades away in, giving it a long considering look before cracking into the case, his blue eyes wide with fascination as he inspected the inner workings of the mechanical contraption. The wires, reels, and system while complex fascinated the teen. It had been his dream his entire childhood, and adult life after all to work with such equipment. While he didn't know that much about them. he'd promised himself he'd learn everything there was to know. So it was any wonder as he was poking around a spring came off and nearly hit him in the face, causing him to cringe tempted to cover his eyes with his goggles but refrained from messing with them for now. (( Thats fine :3 I didn't want to control her actions and drag her over for the finger wrapping without the offer lol. This reply is the 3rd draft i kept accidentally closing my browser like a failure. )) Qixel dont mind this notice, i forgot the indicator at the top lol

[Maintenance]Shun tilted his head for the moment at Axel's answer, but then shrugged. He had a feeling the majority of people training were shooting for the garrison more than the other two. Perhaps a handful had their hopes up for the Military Police, however. He looked over when he heard the sound of a wire smacking something, furrowing his brow. He shouldn't have looked away though, as he wasn't exactly paying attention to where his hands were moving. All of the sudden, he felt a powerful jet of air blasting him in the side of the face from the 3dmg. Recoiling back, he dropped the things back onto the table.

[Maintenance]Lenore winced as Alec cleaned the cut, but aside from that, remained passive through the entire ordeal. After the bandage was applied, Lenore stared at it as if it was an alien creature before heading over to the bench. Mimicking Alec, she cleaned her blades before oiling them and returning them to their box-scabbard-things. She didn't think she'd ever been told what that portion of the omnidirectional maneuver gear was called, come to think of it. Lenore shrugged at Alec's inquiry. "Haven't thought about it." She paused. "What about you?The girl's eyes widened slightly as a spring shot towards the older boy's face, but it was only temporary, as she quickly went back to her usual blank expression. Opening her own box-scabbard-thing, she looked into it, but refrained from touching anything for the time being. leon_a_darkangel I laughed harder at that than is probably nice. My apologies. x3

[Blades]Sitting down out of the way Farvardin watched Tala as she went through the motions. She also noticed the mistakes she made which seemed to be mostly from how slow her movements were. "Good try! Your slashes look good if slow. Hm... maybe we should try that. Do everything all slow and speed up as we get it. What do you think?" She then stood up done with her break. Even though her partner said she could take as long as she needed she didn't want to just keep sitting. She gave her arms and legs a few stretches before taking out her blades. She took up the first stance and began to go through the poses all slow. It certainly helped going slow so she could quickly find a mistake and correct it.
