 Amarissa Amarissa knocked, before entering, biting her lip. She, again, felt like a kid for acting this way, but hell, she already had felt it before. What's one more time?

"I really dislike bullies. How about I take control of your mind and make you start beating yourself up?"
After a few minutes, Luna came in from the Bridge exit, taking a seat at one end of the table. She had a welcoming smile on her face.
"Ah, you must be Amarissa. I knew I'd missed a few newcomers. On the bright side, I'm a lot more awake and alert. So, tell me about yourself, Amarissa."
So let's put aside our foolish pride
And let our hearts say hello

Amarissa Amarissa smiled automatically in response to Luna's. Since when had she gotten so comfortable? She hesitated at the question, suddenly wondering who she actually was and what this woman wanted. So, she settled on the annoying, obvious answer. "I'm a human from Earth who tends to stare at stars a bit too much. You?" She said flatly, though not without a bit of humor, clearly indicating that the question was rhetorical.

Luna cocked her head to the side in confusion.
"I'm sorry, I didn't get that joke. Anyway, I'm Admiral Luna, House of Davis. I'm the Captain of the Unity."
She picked up a padd off the table. It had a picture of Amarissa's face and basic information.
"So, what do you like doing, besides staring up at the stars?"

Amarissa Amarissa nodded at her name, noting down mentally that Luna didn't get flat humor. When she pulled out the tablet, she momentarily forgot the question. "Whoa, wait. W-why do you have a picture of me? How long have you been watching us down there?" She controlled her voice so it was more confused sounding, but inside she was panicking. Maybe her initial concerns were right. Maybe they did intend to betray them. "And if you've been watching us, why do you need these answers from me? Surely you already have them?" Lord Redtail Rathan sorry if this conversation seems kinda redundant, trying not to be all meta here...

Luna couldn't help but laugh. The girl's emotions were leaking through.
"Calm down. Before you were brought aboard, you were scanned for infectious diseases, yes? That device also took a picture of you and added it to your medical file. We were never watching you. We arrived an hour or so before you and your compatriots were retrieved from the surface."
She turned the padd around to make it easier for Amarissa to read.
"All I have is your name, age, and picture. Dr. Sadenes sent it to me. Everything else, she didn't send me. Patient information isn't something I need to know, unless it's dangerous to the ship."

Amarissa She quirked a brow at the laugh, jaw tightening. Not even being able to read the screen helped, but she blew out a breath anyway, forcing away some of her visible tension. "What do I like..." Amarissa mused after a moment, deciding it was best just to answer the question, "A warm drink, a nice gun, scavenging something for everyone to eat. Making sure the people I care about are fine and dandy. You know, not getting experimented on by aliens and the like," she said flatly. Another half-hearted joke on her part that she tried to convince herself made her look tougher and wasn't simply her trying to comfort herself. Lord Redtail Rathan I know that feeling all too well.

"Amarissa...over half of my crew are human. Experimenting on others is against our morals. The human crew, it's against their...Geneva Conventions, I believe they called it. You won't have to worry about that here. At all."

Amarissa Amarissa was silent, scanning Luna as if to gauge if she was lying. Mostly, though, she was thinking over the crew she had passed. They all seemed human. That's never stopped anyone in history. Hitler and the concentration camps came to mind first, but she was sure if she sat down, she could find more. Oddly enough, however, her BS Radar didn't go off. So she uncrossed her arms, not even knowing when she had done that, and sat at the table. "Alright," she replied evenly, her nerves finally calmed. Mostly. "Serious answer? I don't do anything for fun. I look up at the stars occasionally, I read if I can find a book that's even slightly salvageable and I'm forced to stay in camp, and then I work almost 24/7 getting supplies. I'm sure most people have said something similar."

"Surprisingly, no."
She scrolled through a second padd.
"The nurses in your camp now work in Sickbay. A bunch of the men and women with welding skills have been assigned to Damage Control teams, as welding hasn't changed much. A Miss Rose Thorn is the Ship's Counselor, Mr. Gavin Napier now runs my Tactical Section, and Dr. Falk is my new First Officer."
She set the padd down.
"You'd be surprised at what your hobbies and skill can do for you aboard this ship."

Amarissa Amarissa smiled softly at Falk's, Rose's, and Gavin's places. Really fit them, honestly. At least Luna was competent, that was comforting. Though, she supposed Luna wouldn't have this position if she wasn't. "My hobbies and skills? Pardon my doubts, but I think being able to find a particularly long lasting can of food isn't exactly useful here."

Luna sighed, brushing away her bangs.
"It might, actually. you see, we can't get home. And there's no one here that we know. So all of our supplies are limited to what we have here, and what we can acquire in our travels. Normally, I'd send Marines down with a member of the Galley staff...but you have more experience than they do, finding food. I could always have you go down with the away teams in search of supplies."
She scrolled through a third padd. There were four in front of her.
"And not just food. Certain metals, herbs and materials for medicine, the whole nine yards. As it stands, we have enough food to accommodate everyone aboard, including your people, for another three weeks. After that, everyone's on emergency rations until more food is found."
She set the padd down, a grim look in her eyes.
"I take it you're good at haggling as well, yes?"

Amarissa Amarissa raised a brow sharply at Luna's words. That was not what she was expecting. In fact, it was kind of better because she knew where she stood with scavenging. She thought for a moment. That was more than ample time to be able to scrounge something up food wise, and if nothing dire happened, ample time for the metals and herbs, if she had a list. At the last question she shrugged, "I've dabbled, haven't done too much, though."

She leaned back, hands clasped, eyeing Amarissa.

Amarissa "Only if I get a weapon to protect myself with while I'm out. Scavenging isn't exactly the safest thing," Amarissa replied, the look in her eyes saying she wasn't going to budge on the matter. Even if it was something small like a knife, she could work with that. Not so much so unarmed.
