She blinked, then her jaw dropped a little bit, her ears perking happily. "Ghyukulla is one of the Sholan Goddesses. She is the Goddess of Spring Summer and Autumn, of nature, of growth and rebirth. She chooses fewer people than Vartra does, and is fairly reclusive. There are a million stories about her, and some of our best holiday celebrations celebrate her and her sister Kuuoshi."

Hadrian stared at the Sholan. "I'm afraid you will have to explain all of this to me. Would you care to go into the den? The seats there are quite comfortable."

She nodded, looping her arm through his comfortably, as she had been touching it. "Lead on then," she said cheerfully. "Do your people not have stories about any Gods? We have several on Shola, but the main one most people think about is Vartra. After that is Nyam, God of the hunt, Ghuykulla of course, Kuuoshi, the God of Winter, La'Shoh, Liege of H***, and Zhalwae, the God of the Sun, but few people worship Him these days. I know the most about Vartra, Ghyukulla, and Kuuoshi, but then those are three of the Gods who have taken the most interest in my family, so that's only natural."

He led them into the dark sitting room. Hadrian waved his hand and candles sprang to life, giving the room a nice soft glow. He then led her over to a large wing back chair and gestured for her to sit. He took the chair next to her.
"My people do not have gods. Many cultures on this planet do though. And some of my people believe in their gods. But I have not seen anything miraculous or wonderful to say that gods exist or do not exist. You speak as if your gods take an active part in your life. This is also a new concept. Gods on this planet are usually viewed as inactive. They do not care about the goings on of their believers."

She curled into the chair, pulling her legs up and wrapping her tail around her. "Believers are the lifeblood of the Gods. Our worship kept Vartra from resting. As for being active..." her draw dropped in a grin, an ear flicking happily. *I can't imagine life without the Gods messing with it. If not for Vartra, my life could never have existed, and Vartra and Ghyukulla are why I am here in the first place," she leaned back slightly. "Without them, we never would have met."

He smiled and placed a hand on her chair, "Then I suppose I should give thanks to them. For I am very lucky to have found you."

"We will have to set up a temporary temple until I go home so that you can. I need some place to meditate as well." She settled her bag on the floor in front of her chair. "I thought I'd wind up somewhere else, so I brought statues from the Clan Estate. So at least we will have something to offer obeisance to. I don't think I have incense though," she said, her ear flicking in annoyance as she realized that.

Hadrian didn't hear anything beyond the words, "Until I go home." He frowned, "What do you mean, go home? You would leave me?" He was becoming irritated, the beast inside him getting angry that its mate would want to leave at all, but especially after just finding him. "You only just found me..."

She looked so confused, "You... don't want to come with me?" she asked in a small voice, her ears flicking back. You... you have to, though... we need to be together, are supposed to be together. You'll love Shola, I promise," she said, reaching out to touch his hand. "Lots of land to hunt, and our clan is on the water. The temple is lovely, and the people are amazing. You'll see," she said, trying to assure him, her tail flicking in her lap. "You'll be well come, my family will adore you, and you them."

Hadrian's brow furrowed, "You want me to come with you? I would do so...but we have to think about the things that I need here. Like the soil. I'm unsure if your soil would heal me..." He was stroking her hand now, the beast eased when she showed she thought he was coming with her. It purred. She didn't want to leave him. She wanted to take him with her. It was pleased, and so was he.

"Of course I want you to come with me!" she said, leaning over a bit to lick his face once lightly with a rough dry tongue. "And we'll gather whatever you need," she assured him. "Believe me, no one would let you die, no one would let you suffer. Once we link, what you feel, I feel, and there is no way in any world or time Vartra would send me back here to kill me. You'll see, I trust Vartra completely. We will be fine. You'll love the En'Shalla estate, and Valsgrath is a lot of fun. Fantastic restaurants, nice shops. And everyone there knows how to live with Telepaths."

He nodded, "Then I suppose that I will go with you. I have no family or kin other than my people. And I must do whatever I can to see you happy. I do doubt that you would be happy here forever. You are more connected to your people than I. And perhaps I will make a few friends. Though just as you will link to me, I will link to you. You will have to become like me. The sleeping in the dirt, drinking blood, lethargic during the day. Only able to be out in the moonlight."

"That is part of what we must discuss. You need to tell me what the link your people have means... and I need to explain what a mixed Leska Link is likely to entail for us. We... What we will experience, will likely be a lot like both and exactly like neither. We will become more like each other. You will be come more like me just as I will become more like you. "I am not fully Sholan, there is human in my blood, and our cubs will be mixed, your people, and both of mine. A new kind of Hybrid. Also... there are some things about me personally, you should be prepared for," she said softly, suddenly looking down, wondering if he might not be able to accept her life back home, accept her. They would not become another Mara and Zayaf. Would not.

"Of course. There is much to discuss. I'm afraid that a starting point eludes me at this moment though. Perhaps on the next rising we will be more ready to discuss such things. I am still in such awe that I found you. And I still need to drive that poison from your system. Before I go to ground."
