Kobalt was having a good time just walking around the ship and pae-watching with Rio perched on his shoulder. The smell of food lured him toward the dining room where he grabbed a quick bite to eat before exploring a little more.
The ringing of slot machines and excited chattering lead him to the casino where there were a few different games set up. He didn't have anything else planned for the night, so maybe he could lose an hour or two in the casino. In he went, a token being put in his hand by the fairy who welcomed him inside. "One free play, eh?" he grinned and thanked her for the token before heading to the slot machines.

Having no luck in the slots, he moved on and decided to try his hand at black jack. He smiled at the dealer as he took a seat and watched others play before taking his turn.

Deciding to wait on the cards, Opal saw a wheel at the next table. "Ohhhh." she said, interest peaked. Wandering over, she smiled at the dealer. She put the token the dealer gave her on a number. She held her breath as the wheel spun.

Cadassi sighed. Watching his lover devour steak like a ravenous beast wasn't exactly on his list of most enjoyable things to do. Giving a sudden, and very fake squeal, he mumbled something about needing to use the bathroom an excused himself. Wandering over to the roulette table, after taking a few detours around the room to make sure he was staying hidden, he settled into the seat beides a pale white fish and plunked his free chip down on a number and waited. Leitha would find him eventually. Expecially if he won somehing.

Gasping, Opal thanked the little fairy profusely. Staring at the bottle, she wondered what it was. A little embarrased that she couldn't read, she quickly moved to another gambling table. This one held machines that spun around and made alot of noise. Intrigued further, she set down her newly recieved bottle an slipped in the coin the fairies gave her. Then she watched in fascination as the little reels spun round and round.

Sighing, she grabbe her bottle and carressed the glossy glass. The slots had not been her avenue of luck. Giving the machine a small kick, she panicked as the fairies gave her a dirty look and began buzzing her way. Quickly fleeing, she hid over by the black jack table. When the dealer offered her a free hand, she tookit. Holding her breath as the dealer flopped her cards down, she praye for a decent run. What good was winnin once if she couldnt win any other time.

Opal gasped. She couldn't believe it. She had managed to win again. Smiling from ear to ear, she thanked the little faeries and calmly made he way to her room. Where she promply let out a girlish squeal of delight. Setting her prizes on the bedside table, she jumped into bed and stared at them. This was going to be an awesome trip.

Cadassi stare at the table in shock. He had lost? Well that stunk. He would just have to try his hand at something else. Meandering over to the slots, he plunked his coin in and waited.

Cadassi gave a grumble. Of course he had come close. But wasn't it just his luck that he lost? He gave the noisy machine a couple more tries before finding his way to the blackjack table.
Tossing a chip down, he settled down for another trip into loser town. Gambling just wasn't his thing.

Cadassi sighed and watched the dealer take his chips away. Nope. Gambling was definitely not his game. Removing himself from the table, he sulked his way back to his lover fish and had a seat. "Tonight just isn't my luck..." he muttered to himself. Taking a bite of his almost wilted salad, he spat it back out an called for the water to bring him some. When they politely pointed him to the bar instead, he held out his arm in offering toward Leitha. "Darling, I want to get drunk. Shall we? " he asked, refusing to think about his defeats at the tables. Besides, last time it was Leitha who had gotten drunk. Tonight, it was his turn.

Aulii made his way down to the bright lights and exciting noise coming out of the casino after awhile. He walked around for awhile, watching each of the games being played. The angel had never seen anything like this, but there was definitely a lot of energy here. Aulii looked at the roulette table, one of the noisier games. After watching to see how it was done the orange male decided to test his luck. "Hmmm. Alright." Aulii stepped up to play, "I'll bet on black." He leaned against something in a relaxed position as the game began, watching the table spin, as it started to slow he got into a more tense and excited position, waiting to see the results.
Aulii's face dropped in disappointment...a loss. There was a pretty good chance at winning this though. So Aulii kept at it for quite a while, continuing to bet on black. After he had won a bet, he took off to see what the other games were all about.

Dysmas rubbed his tummy, completely stuffed. No offense to his mother, but the food here was absolutely amazing and there was a ton of it. He was making his way back to his room when he saw the casino. It looked like a place he might want to avoid. However, as he spotted a slot machine inside, he was intrigued by the mechanism. Not to mention it looked to be more of an independent activity, he could just slip in and try it and no one would notice.
Dysmas was welcomed by a fairy, looking at the token in his hand he placed it in the machine. Just one shot. The machine amazed him as it was activated by the coin he inserted. He pulled the lever. Three... three... His heart fluttered as the final wheel spun. No...Dysmas took a breath. That was a different experience. Well that had been his one shot. He glanced around the casino quickly but didn't see anything he wanted to stick around for and quickly disappeared.

Both hands held at 16. The little Avalon fairy shifted his visor and leaned over the table with a challenging glare at Kobalt. He slapped his hand down on the table, revealing a shining trinket of some sort. It seemed to be made of several flat, polished pieces of metal, connected loosely so that they hung free, twisting and reflecting the light. "Double or nothin', kid! I'm throwing in a rare thingamajig!" It looked like it may have been some sort of...costume jewelry earring once. He dealt a single card to Kobalt and himself, face-down. "Alright...3...2...1...flip!"
((Roll two more 10-sided dice. The first number is yours, the second is the dealer's. 1-5 keeps you in the game, 6-10 is a bust. Same rules as before, don't bust and beat the dealer!))

Kobalt blinked as he and the dealer ended up with the same number. The Avalon fairy's challenging glare was met with a similar one from the blue angel pae. A thingamajig? It looked odd, but was also fairly pretty. Rio leaned closer for a better look at it until Kobalt shooed him back again. At the end of the count, Kobalt flipped his card over to see if he'd won or lost.

Aulii headed to the blackjack tables next. He had to stand around for awhile, watching the game, in order to make any sense of it. Aulii even asked one of the fairies going around in their fancy outfits to explain it to him. After that, he sat down and picked up his cards.
As he flipped over the last card...it was another loss. Where was his luck tonight? Okay so Aulii never had experimented with luck in the first place, so it wasn't like had had ever had it. He wasn't done with this whole thing yet though. It was easy to get addicted to trying to win at these games. Just one more game he hadn't tried...

Aulii stared down the slot machine and the token in his hand. He had watched others play this game for a little bit, and no one seemed to be winning this one. All he had to do was pull a lever, but getting 3 of the same numbers to come up? Impossible. Aulii decided he was only going to try out the free token on this, afterwards he would go back to the roulette table, he liked the chances better on that. With a flick of his wrist, he pulled the lever.
Aulii laughed and walked away after seeing the second number show up different. It was just as he thought, this particular game was a waste of time. He was on a losing streak and wanted to win a few games, and this was not the game for him, clearly.
