After hearing Ryder going off on James, Sami lifted her head and waved her hands in a mini freak out because she didn't want James in any trouble.

"Oh! No, no, no. It's fine. He can call me whatever he wants to. Anyone can really. I was just thi-"

Sami was cut short when James spoke up again. This time saying her mother's full name. Looking over, she saw the sniper give her a nod as if answering the silent. As he continued explaining to Ryder, the assassin listened, paying attention to every word. This new information was a surprise. The girl knew her dad was a part of the Noe. James told her that in the beginning, that was the reason she had joined. But her mother? It didn't make any sense, while in an odd way it did.
Thinking on it now, the pieces seemed to go together. Scarlet never seemed to worry when Sami wasn't home, even all those times she ran away. She knew the girl's friend, Daniel was also a member and knew he would keep her daughter and his sister safe. But did that mean...?

Snapping out of deep thought, Sami looked over at James. She wanted to ask the soldier questions, wanted to get more answers. But now wasn't the time. She needed to wait and hope he'd be willing to talk.

Shelby kept quiet as this banter continued. All this trouble over a codename? Shelby had several. Freelance work demanded it. She was a different person then and burned many bridges with employers. It was like starting over in a world that did not suffer upstarts. The Modus Operandi on a clean slate situation usually involved a puffed up resume with an unconfirmed kill of her old codename. Word would spread through the right channels and jobs would flow once again. Her last codename simply disappeared off the grid. Most probably assumed she died of an overdose by now. She burned no bridges with this latest one and she still had not built up her reputation. Perhaps she would ultimately go back to it in the field since it was mostly unused. Feelers would have to be put out first.

One of the main reasons she decided to go back to an old codename was for security purposes. Most would never guess she was now Noe. The existance of the opposing shadow groups were simply considered a legend amongst such circles. If you were caught researching it two things usually followed: Assassination of one way or another. Most ended up being character assassination, but a few did end up dead under mysterious circumstances. It was simply a taboo no one touched.

After Sami's reaction and James' defensive rebuttal, Shelby decided to butt in. "Wouldn't it be better if this was discussed later? We still have yet to hear a presentable action plan."

*They young girl gave the Doctor the one minute sign she looked to Regi. James stopped him from telling her what happened to Inanna and she wanted to know. She had to plan around that. Regi quickly told and said he's message her the exact details. The little gamer had a look of "eww" on her face.
Just as the young girl opened her mouth to speak...suddenly an alarm went off causing her to cover her mouth before realizing it didn't come from her. It was the alarm letting her know one of the teams in the field was contacting her. Seems they needed help. Flailing her arms around a little bit she placed on a headset connecting it to the feed with Regi as well as the ones out in the field. She then moved to another screen that they could barely see before shouting at them.*
Ryder - Damnit! Hang on, this should only take a few minutes. Patching things through. We have a problem.
Colleen - Well, well, Ryder in action I see.
*The white haired man looked up to see Colleen had come back. Giving her a small smirk, he nodded. This wasn't planned but Ryder had to take care of those out in the field as well. They all began to pay attention as she fed the audio through what she was already listening too. Regi put their side on mute so they could hear what Ryder was talking about without interruption.
She was helping a group of 4. They consisted of Russel's, Tigerfish, Glyphis and Copperhead. From what it sounded like she was moving them and keeping an eye on everything else around much like Regi does. He had trained her after all. For her age she was doing very well, when the time came Ryder would make an excellent Comm Director. She would have to update her handle by then...a Comm Director by the code of "Squirt" was not an option. The second screen from what they could see was flipping between various screens. It was an urban war going on right now. No faces could be seen but Russel's, Tigerfish and Glyphis were dressed as cops and they were taking on what looked to be gang members but were in fact Kepi. From the conversation Copperhead was heard to be the sniper in their group.
It was all going well till Ryder looked at on of the screens that had a far shot of the one known as Russel's on it. From there Ryder noted something, it was a bad situation that just got worse. She began to panic a little bit, this was really bad.*
Ryder - Russel's move! A sniper has you in his sights.
Russel's - Don't worry about it, Squirt. Copperhead has them in their sights.
Ryder - This is not open for debate, take cover Russel's. Now!
*Suddenly her screen went black. Someone must have shot the camera. Ryder did see the sniper that had Russel's targeted fall though, the logical answer was that it was the bullet Copperhead fired that took out the not only the sniper but the camera as well. Though something wasn't right. Everything went quiet. She couldn't even hear breathing.*
Ryder - Russel's..Russel's answer me, I lost the visual....Come on! Russel's! Russel's!!
*There was still no answer...Ryder could no longer stop herself...*
Ryder - Daddy...come on...
*Still nothing...then a voice came over the comm link. It wasn't the same voice from before. It was another male, his voice, the accent mainly, was that of Turkish decent. Not her Canadian father. It was Glyphis.*
Glyphis - I'm sorry, Squirt...he's gone.
*The one thing that she feared came true...she lost her father. The little blonde was stuttering a bit when she replied, sucking in a shaky breath.*
Ryder - C-copy that Glyphis...Um, Copperhead, do you copy?
*This time the voice was soft and feminine...and british. Surprising in many ways.*
Copperhead - I'm here, sweetie.
Ryder - Rendezvous with Glyphis and Tigerfish and um...bring him home, please. Contact Orca if you need help.
*There was an affirmation from the female before the line went dead. Ryder leaned back into her chair. Her eyes were blank and slightly misted. She was determined not to cry though. She still had business to take care of...she was no longer going to be kind about it either.
Colleen and Regi were just as shocked. Not that Russel's was her father. They already knew that because they knew who Russel's was. It was common for Ryder to direct her father around. They were surprise...he died. Regi turned the mute off...they were going to need to talk now. This was not what they wanted to happen.
Before Regi could speak Ryder came back over to the screen to look directly at them again. Her feature showing she was pissed.*
Ryder - Well, I hope this answers your question, dear Doctor. Here is what happened. When our serves were hacked yesterday the Kepi did get files from us. They were actually hidden with in data that is normally over looked. The only reason I know is because I was trying to stop them from here before Regi pulled the plug. I was able to copy everything they took though as they were in the process of taking it...not that it did much help.
*The Aussie swallowed. Oh he was not hoping to hear that. He was praying he stopped them before they lost anything. He didn't...not even Ryder could stop them.*
Regi - Ryder, what did they get?
Ryder - Old personal files that were never properly disposed of. Not by you Mister Regi. ID code is as follows; B78396244CF. If I remember right that is one of the old computer techs you had to dispose of for treason, Mister Regi. He had hidden them away for with drawl by the Kepi whenever they were able to. More or less a little present for the Kepi. I read through them all trying to find if there was really anything of interest in there...there was. A connection to Sami.
*Seems the little blonde knew what she had been doing after all. Everything James had told her, Ryder already knew. The Noe keep record of everything when it comes to people in or in contact with the Noe. Past present and right up to death. They need to keep it till it is proven no longer useful. Seems they should have paid a little more attention. Ryder already knew the people in front of her backward and forward and if there was anything to find she would find it.*
Ryder - Needless, to say they got Sami's mother's file...what ever digging they did they made the connection and they know Sami was Scarlet's daughter and is your "Scarlet" now, James and they have placed an assassination contract out on her. I found it a couple hours ago. They obviously were not trying to hide it, they want us to know they are looking for Sami. After I found that I began looking in world to see if anything had happened yet and in fact they had already began harassing people for any information they could to draw Sami out. I forwarded this to the base leader here and we sent out teams to try to stop the Kepi...As noted...my dad was in one of the teams.
*Her gaze went from everyone to just Sami and James...she was right now angry and couldn't stop herself. Her words were going back and forth between the two, in her anger she couldn't concentrate on just one of them at a time.*
Ryder - Now I just lost my father, trying to make sure they didn't kill off any of your friends and family or desecrate you're parents grave to save you. Cause they are doing whatever they can to put a bullet in you Sami. I do hope keeping this memory alive was worth the cost. You should have left the dead where they lie. This situation could have been avoided if you used your head and not your heart. Two things you always seem to get screwed up. As far as I am concerned this wasn't worth it. I so hope you are happy with your choices.
*Looking back over to Regi she continued.*
Ryder - Permission to put forth a suggestion when comes to code names of any kind.
Regi - Go right ahead.
Ryder - From now on all code names will NOT feature any personal information of any kind; like it should have been before. Nothing from family, nothing from your life. It is supposed to be used as an identifier only, it is not you in the end. They will also have to be close to genderless as possible. Remember on the battle field you are nothing more then a battle piece, anything that could really give you away means death.
*Right now it was best to keep Ryder on track but she was now correct. James' reasoning for the Codename placed Sami in danger...now she had a hit on her. She couldn't go out for missions for a while. Not till Regi and Ryder worked something out. For now it was time to see what Ryder had in mind going forth.*
Regi - Will do, little Shelia. Best course of action is...
Ryder - Sami will be taken off of missions till we can reach a conclusion that will be satisfactory. Everyone else will be put on 24 hour missions around the same area so they are with reach of another base in case something were to befall a teammate we can easily group back up. Shortest distance between them 50 yards. Longest 10 miles. With Inanna out of the way they are trying to pick us off one by one.
*Taking a few more deep breaths she continued. It may seem odd she hadn't broke down completely by now but Ryder was raised in the Noe from a baby. She knew one day this was going to happen but had hoped she would have been a little older then what she was now...sadly, she was a war child.*
Ryder - We'll convene tomorrow morning, 24 hour missions will be enacted then seeing as this is technically a rest day for you people. I have most of them lined up, they will be finished by the nights end. By then I also do not want this brought up, otherwise I will leave you with someone else and drop transmission. Don't question me about my methods either. I'm young, not dumb. I'm eccentric, not stupid. If I start a debate or poking at something I am hoping you are smart enough to figure out something had happened. Obviously, you weren't, so I had to do this the hard way not the easy one where I stay nice. Now, excuse me...I need find my mother to go bury my father...again.
*With that Ryder took off the head set and threw it across the room before storming out. Not even bothering to turn off the monitor and cameras. Least this time she didn't loose both parents...she doubted she could handle that again.
Regi signed off of the communications. That was not how he was hoping it would go. Looking back to the group the Aussie ran a hand threw his hair...just how was he going to fix this mess? In all honesty he couldn't. With what happened, he just couldn't.*
Regi - Ryder's suggestion will be enacted as law in the Noe. I do not want to hear the name "Scarlet" in transmissions any more. If it continues I will be enforcing consequences. As for you Sami...get comfortable. You're gonna be base bound for a while. There are no arguments. Any questions?

This was an appropriate reason to kill. Fatal hardly believed the Kepi would go to such extremes. It enraged him. His hands were already dirty with Kepi blood. Although he felt Ryder getting too involved personally in this, it couldn't be helped. She was young, which made her dumb. She was also eccentric, a word sympathizing with stupid, if one's classification of "eccentric" was used correctly. Fatal felt Regi would've acted the same, however. Some situations were too delicate to properly handle.

"'Rest day' is meaningless to me, Regi. This is a war. People are dying out there. She has no right to keep us on standby. I have never been conditioned to this."

It was early in the day. If Fatal was seriously kept from going out into the field on the basis that this was a rest day, he would find no peace in this. Ryder did mention she was working out the finer parts of their plans at the moment. (She would have their missions ready by night's end.) But that large time gap from now to when she finished meant there was time to work.
Fatal couldn't believe he was led into watching Ryder's father die. By Kepi hands, no less. Fatal could've prevented this. He could've helped someone. Now that it was too late, the only peace he could achieve was revenge. He'd never leave the field if he could help it. Until every Kepi with the arrogance to accept the assassination contract to hunt for Sami had been cut into pieces, Fatal would not consider his twenty-four hour mission status complete.

"The law in the Noe is unfortunate; a crutch to those wanting to give their all to this faction. If she will not let me work, you must talk to her. No one else here is close enough to Ryder. I will not have her head the missions with her current state of emotions. I will work in contact with my designated base and the leaders stationed there. When Ryder is over herself, then I will cooperate with her."

James stay the same even when the alarms went off, not moving a inch. Not even when what happen over the comm. Not to say he didn't care, or anything. In fact code name Russel, was one of his 'drinking buddy's' and fellow marksmen. Granted James didn't actually drink with the man, but did have a few chats with him. But death of a comrade was nothing knew to James. He has lost so many squad members it can't really be told be normal people if he feels it. Only those that really know him, know how much it does effect him. It's the reason he goes on as many missions as he does. To pick up those that his fallen comrades would normally do. He knew Ryder would be sad but when he saw her angry he knew something was wrong. When she explain James' finally moved by sitting up a bit. A few things seem to catch him off guard. The main one was the fact that files that old were hidden from not just Ryder but Regi too. That should NEVER happen. If someone is caught for treason everything should be checked and rechecked to make sure this situation doesn't happen. Not after what happen 'that time. All he give Regi a subtle but quick look, a look almost asking how, before looking back at Ryder.

The next thing on his mind was did Ryder know about Sami this whole time and if she did why not bring it up before. If she knew who 'Scarlet' was then why on all the mission did she not say a word. The last thing was if they need a team for an operation like the one that just failed why not send him. If their was a breach like this and it was unbeknown because of him, why not send your best sniper to cover the ground team. He was now more frustrated at Ryder, but showed no sign of it. He still remained as stoic as ever. Ryder normally was on top of things and told him everything. But it seems that's not the case. There was another reason for the code name, and method the Noe has been using since before he even joined. The reason disposing old code names are so important because they will have another person with similar trait to take up that name. The Kepi would try and find stuff on them but then find nothing. That's the base of the plan.... It was then it hit him. The person that Regi got, that old computer tech guy. He knew Sami's parents and her past before James even started using that code name. So why hide it, he could have just straight up told them. This whole situation is just a plan to split the field soldiers and the intelligences, plus break the trust of James himself. He saw that their plan was already taking a bit of effect with out Ryder acted and Fatal's comment. He decided to speak once more to Regi. Regi and Colleen where the only two beside Inanna the young girl would listen too at the moment.
James - It's a smokescreen. The Kepi have plan to divide us like this. *looks to Regi* The old tech head, you got him a while back, but he was part of the Noe with her parents. He already knew who she was. I doubt it's a coincident that the day after we get hacked they pull files that they could have gotten whenever.
James knew the Kepi, and he knew that the Kepi were planning something bigger then what was on the current surface. As he sees it, it wouldn't have mattered what code name he gave to Sami, she would have been figured out anyway. He had a feeling that they may not take him seriously after this, but Regi knows him well and knows he doesn't just spit out crazy and if they don't take him to mind, well there was nothing else he can do.

*William and Naiiko were both equally shocked at the events that had just transpired. The Kepi were indeed making their move and like anything else, it cost a life. But not just any life. It was the life of a young girl's father. Something that she could never get back, no matter how hard she wished it. Bearing witness to a live execution only fueled the fires within both operatives. William and Naiiko knew how it felt to have the people you love taken away from you with no hesitation. For Naiiko, it was Karin. For William, it was his grandfather. The marksmen wore a sad expression on his face and slowly shook his head*

"I....that's....I'm truly sorry, Ryder..."

*An apology wasn't going to reverse anything. That was even more evident with the way the young girl exploded at them. Setting the rules for codenames and such. Naiiko looked at the screen, but showed no emotion. No defiance was in her stare. William, however, just eyed the table and nodded to show he understood. She was hurting, so there was no reason to scold her for her shouting. The two operatives in particular already had their codename problems fixed a long time ago. Naiiko had no alias. She was simply known as "the ninja". The woman made sure not to leave any trace of evidence that could lead the Kepi to the direction of Narue Village. It stayed hidden of this long due to the efforts of the Union as well as the ninjas who lived there. Still, Naiiko knew better than to give her enemies any ammunition to use against her. William, on the other hand, had to undergo a whole transformation for his topside missions. He was Lance Enrikson, a blonde emerald-eye gunmen that worked for the Union. With this alias, he'd be able to travel and do battle while keeping his Sinclair family safe from harm*

*When the girl left, Regi asked if there were any questions left to be asked*

"No, sir..." William answered sadly.

"Nothing at all." Naiiko said solemnly.

When Ryder turned her attention to Regi, Sami placed a hand on James’s shoulder to stop him from continuing. Shelby was right, they could discuss this later but the soldier had already begun explaining.
“Sir-”
Just then, an alarm went off on Ryder’s side and she quickly went to work. The young assassin could only watch as the event unfolded. She gasped softly at the outcome as she covered her mouth with both hands, fighting back the tears that were welling up. She really wanted to offer her condolences to the girl, but never got the chance to as Ryder continued with the meeting.

Sami was shocked that the Kepi had found her mother’s file. But, it didn’t make much sense to her. They would have had gotten it long ago to explain why her family was targeted three years ago. If it was recent, how could they know she had not died along side her parents. If James had given Sami the nickname because she hunted like her mother, it was because the young assassin left a thin, scarlet line across her victims throats. Unless, that was how the Kepi linked the two. The exact same MO.

The girl still had her hands over her mouth while her mind slipped into deep thought. The only thing that snapped her out of it was someone had called her name. Looking up, Sami noticed Regi telling her to get comfortable cause she was basically grounded. She slowly nodded her head. The assassin wasn’t too upset about having to stay at the base. Every mission she had been on, she was always with someone. Either James, Reen, Naiiko, or even Fatal once. Only time she left without a mission, she always wore a disguise and with someone. Either with William, or one of the other members.
Sami sighed. Maybe she was just thinking too much into this
PostPosted: Tue Jul 01, 2014 6:47 am

*One thing after another it seemed. Poor Regi was going to need a sedative later...or go see that new operative whom was a Reiki Master. They said that it would help relax him with how much he had on his plate it sounded like a good idea. Regi looked into it and it was completely safe so why not?
Well first thing is first...getting this damn meeting over with. One person at a time though. Sami, Naiiko and William were at least making it easy on him. They weren't offering an argument of some kind. The ones that he had to clear things up with Fatal and James though. May as well start with Fatal as he seemed adamant that Ryder was more of a hindrance then a help and he was apparently dumb for rules.*
Regi - Then Fatal, how good are you at your job if you cannot remember simple rules our Leader put into play? Colleen.
*The blonde haired woman spoke up quickly covering what he meant.*
Colleen - Rule 4 of Inanna's code; After every mission there is a day of rest. The meaning for this is to make sure people do not get burnt out and are always ready for anything that could happen during their next mission. Sorry, Fatal, you are not going anywhere, nor is anyone else till tomorrow. Training however is open for everyone. None of it off base either, we are in a state of emergency, no one leaves right now.
Regi - Also Fatal, you just met her under extreme circumstances. Keep your opinions to yourself. She bounces back faster then you ever could emotionally. She is a war child, she was born into this, into the Noe. Ryder knows she cannot push emotions to the side so she acts out and finds a way to vent her strain and then normally comes back to work within 6 hours...most operatives take well over a week. So as the acting commander I will hold to Inanna's rules and I will tell you to watch your tongue otherwise I will make sure you get a desk job for a month. You have been warned.
*Regi was not going to go further then that. Ryder has been with the Noe longer then many in this room. Her mother was a Hero to them with everything she gave to the Noe...but Ryder didn't use her born last name because she would rather be known for her skills then her lineage. Not that he could blame her. The only ones who knew her parents were Russel's and her acting Mother the "Surgical Assassin" and the rest on that base. Regi found out through Russel's and that was because it was needed. No one else had a clue...not even Colleen. He didn't want to seem brash but Fatal's view right now was narrow, his opinions had no validity to them...he needed to know this but man doesn't always like listening to polite reason.
Time to move on though...*
Regi - James, open your eyes a bit more, let's take this from the top. They hacked us the same time Inanna was attacked. Ryder couldn't stop them so she copied the information reading it all to see what kind it was. I sent her your files last night some time...she has a system that looks up key words in them so she can pay attention to them later but high-light and alert her to something important. So everything that is in those files she can use to make a picture of whom she'll be working with is important. With that she then figures people out...inside and out.
Colleen - If I know Ryder, she made the connection last night between Sami and her mother with said programs. Ryder isn't one keep information to herself for long...she is a young girl after all. Talking is a bad habit of the species. So having read Sami's mother files and then having Sami actual file scanned...she figured out all she needed to know without even glancing at the document. The hit on Sami just solidified Ryder's case. So she was then hoping to get you and Sami to change your mind without using force. She didn't want to become the bad guy.
*The white haired one sighed and rubbed his eyes. It was just a bad day once more. Alcohol was looking better and better some times but he wouldn't live it down with Inanna.*
Regi - As for why hiding it? They like making us suffer one way or another. Trust between members is too strong, they have to add doubt in there somehow. I do not doubt that they are trying to break us all up. It could have been useless at the time and useful later...use it when the ones they are fighting are at their strongest and beat them down beyond repair...a common sadistic stagey. They want us to argue. They want us to disrespect each other. Probably another reason Ryder was trying the persuasion approach. Now we're here. Already striking blows where they don't need to be.
*Of course he was talking about both Fatal's and Ryder's reactions. Ryder had her reasons for it and no one could blame her. Fatal was just being an a*****e, so he was on shaky ground. Sitting down in his chair the man ran a hand through his white hair...he looked utterly stressed. People really need to stop bucking rank or trying to weasel around the rules. This rest day was truly needed...Regi definitely needed it.*
Regi - Unless there is anything else people need to run by me, I think I can call this meeting concluded. Meet back here tomorrow morning for your missions. Have a good rest day.

Assassins typically weren't outspoken. They followed protocol, judging politics on a separate merit. As long as the philosophy of the business was sublime, Fatal did not hold back against his enemies. He could sympathize with Sami over most others. Most soldiers in the Noe knew what it meant to kill. Fatal knew he and Sami were different. Each kill of theirs was a tally. Unless they let personal problems get in the way, assassins were tools to use and discard.
Fatal's philosophy surrounding his job was intentionally black-and-white. Muddling it up into anything else wasn't how he would perceive his role in the faction.

Arguing was pointless. Fatal would admit he wanted to be defensive of Sami. Suspending her didn't seem right. Fatal should've taken the high road anyways. He minded Inanna's rules most of the time. Even with her out of commission, and no one proper to pick up her slack, her code needed respect. Fatal intended to make today a lesson.

There was no use comparing Fatal to Ryder. The difference was immeasurable.
Fatal would sooner leave the Noe than face a month's suspension. He wouldn't join the vile Kepi. Perhaps he'd leave and then return later. If having a voice made him an issue, the Noe wasn't for him.

With the meeting over, Fatal turned to the others. He was a kind guy. Fatal minded himself a lot. Conversations with him never lasted too long. It was difficult to find him at times. Yet he didn't send people off. He merely wasn't anyone's drinking buddy. Fatal found friendship hard at times like these, because bonding with people risked becoming like Ryder.
"Do any of you wish to practice? I believe physical release to be a stress reliever. We will only go for an hour or so. No use running ourselves ragged."

Fatal faced the group, hoping to get a reaction. He didn't ask for anyone specific. Since Fatal expected a partner now, he wanted to adjust his cooperative fighting style. James and Sami were the only ones here who worked with him in the field before. And that was because they had to. Fatal was a loner. People got in his way. Although Fatal handled most of the work on his missions anyways, he never embraced partner philosophy. It seemed he'd have to now. Fatal would have to be more than an assassin with Ryder around. At least, while she was around. Fatal already hoped for normalcy once her value to them diminished.

James listen to Regi explain things and it was just how he was thinking. To this day he wasn't sure how both Regi and Innana can seemingly read his mind. Regi for the most part just broke down what was going thought his head. That aside now the older vet was thinking why target Sami, and relatively new Elite. The only thing he could think of was because she was around him. So were the Kepi after him? And if so why doing it this way? Then it hit him again. Only a few people on the Kepi were this devious and only one truly knew how he operated, not to mention a master on espionage. He then muttered softly under his breath.
James - Damn you Kamiko.
Anybody that knew anything about James knew about the 'rivalry' between him and Kamiko. She was his old informant many years ago, and ended up getting his half his squad kill on one mission alone. If she is behind this.....then it means she's must have been up to rest of his squad being killed in the years to follow. This made him clench his fist in anger. He need more information on this. Just too much was going on too fast. He needed to clear his mind a bit.

Once Regi ended the meeting, the man stood up to leave. When Fatal asked about practice he shook his head.
James - Maybe next time Fatal.
He then began to walk out the room but stopped once he got to the door and turned toward Regi and Colleen.
James - Give my condolence to Ryder for me. And when she does calm down and can you tell her to contact me. There's something important I want to run by her.
With that the man left. He knew Ryder was in no shape or form to talk to him at the moment and he understood completely. Death, no matter who, is always hard to get over. He had to relax his nerves too. He was heading straight to his room, put on his suit, grab his sniper and head to the rifle range. It was the only way the man could keep his composure now thinking that the reason another one of his comrades has fallen could be because of that woman. If anyone was able to actually see his face know, it was one of pure rage. While his body language didn't show it, but any of those close to him, might be able to feel that vibe from him.

*With the meeting now over, a sigh of relief came over both William and Naiiko. A lot had transpired within the last few hours, but one thing remained clear: The war with the Kepi was far from over. In many respects, it was just beginning. The Union saw that they needed to fight harder for their people's freedom. Otherwise, the bodies would continue to pile up and the Noe would be buried underneath it all*

*After his conversation with Regi, Fatal extended an invitation to the group for anyone to spar with him. That seemed a little strange, considering that Fatal was the type of person who'd rather be by himself than be bothered with anyone. With James declining his offer, the ninja decided to give him a shot*

"An hour-long sparring session? That sounds right up my alley. If you don't mind me for an opponent, that is."

*Naiiko's training was interrupted by the meeting, so a sparring session would definitely get her blood moving back in the right direction again. William stood and gave everyone a slight bow*

"Well I'll be at the firing range if anyone needs me. Good day to you all."

*The ranger headed to his room to grab his weaponry before heading over to the range. He kept himself sharp by getting in target practice when he could, but he was feeling especially driven today*

*With how soon the conversation changed...it was clear that the assassin was still not used to how the Noe really worked. Obviously, Fatal didn't know just who he was dealing with when it came to Regi. Very few did. When Regi said someone would end up with a desk job...it meant Regi would cripple them so they couldn't leave. As happy go lucky as Regi appeared, although under stress, he was probably one of the worst to make angry. He has after all, managed to master many types of sword play, being trained from the time he could walk and having so many Masters. He was a Master Swordsmen in the end, few knew that though...seeing as his alias was more well known then himself. Inanna, Colleen and Dr. Fields were the only ones who knew who Regi really was. The Aussie had been keeping it under wraps because in case he needed to off someone on the base, they wouldn't know what hit them. Fatal's style of fighting was nothing new to Regi...he could be easily put down if needed to.
Lucky for the Comm Director though, Naiiko was able to get Fatal out of his hair. He was hoping for the rest of the day too. If anything else had happened dealing with the spar, Regi didn't bother to pay anymore attention. The Aussie just needed a break from all the one's with a stick up their a**. Where the Noe was on the side of good...it didn't mean they were saints, they were as sinister as the Kepi in a lot of ways. That analysis though was for another time. Some days he wondered why Inanna let certain people into the Noe. In the end it was her call after all...she might be lenient once but never twice. Fatal screws up too many times he will be in for one hell of a surprise. Where the man is proficient in the battle field; dealing with those whom rank higher then him, he lacks greatly...seeing as Ryder does out rank him by a good bit too.
James left his words for Ryder before the man himself took leave. He did wish to speak with the young one again, even after her explosion. This just shows the level of protocol that James was at. With the Noe, unless you really crossed him, he let bygones be bygones. Everyone screwed up eventually and goes through hard times. This was probably why he was one of the more trusted members...even though there were still some doubts the man directed himself with honor, at least most of the time. So the Aussie then began typing up a letter to Ryder.
Not too long after that...there was a hand on his shoulder. Looking up his gaze came to rest on his partner for the time being.*
Regi - Colleen?
Colleen - You, my friend, need a break. I will finish the letter to Ryder. You have other things to tend to.
Regi - As in what?
Colleen - I suggest you check on Inanna, get some food and rest there afterwards...then meet me in our area by tonight. Bring "Autumn Rain". I have a surprise for you.
*The white haired man quirked an eyebrow.*
Regi - It has to be one hell of a surprise if you are asking be to bring that sheila to the party.
*Her smile looked serene on the outside but the male could catch the glimmering malice behind it. Colleen was still after all a "business woman". She had to keep people in line some how.*
Colleen - Trust me, it is.
Regi - Well, you have me interested, so I'll be heading off to check on Inanna. See you tonight, Colleen.
*The blonde stood to the side and the Aussie then proceeded to stand up giving her a nod he stepped to the side and walked off in the direction of Inanna's room. It was well passed time to go and check on her.
Colleen then took her seat in Regi's chair and continued on the letter to Ryder. She knew exactly what she had to do to keep things running around here. Thank goodness she did otherwise...well this place might have gone to hell a long time ago...she still had her uses after all.*

*Regi made his way to Inanna's room. After looking at the door for a little while, he brought his hand up to knock. There was a stirring inside before the door opened and Nebula appeared. The feline seemed a little more rushed then before. This caused Regi to enter the room in haste. Nebula was almost connected to Inanna on a psychic level it seemed. As that was the only time he seemed to panic was when something happened to her.
Upon entering, he swiftly closed the door. Regi then turned toward the bed where there was a semi-frantic clouded leopard pawing at the edge of it. Inanna was there, her red hair askew and curled up on herself. Her form was trembling a little bit as well. Seems she was not doing any better and in fact could be doing worse. If she was doing worse the doctors would have to be called immediately.
Rushing to her side, the male sat on the edge of the bed and pushed the red hair from the face of the female. It was then he got one big surprise. He was met with the brilliant emeralds of the other. Inanna was awake, though obviously, still under the effects of the poison. That was better then they had hoped for. The white haired man would have shouted it over the intercom, if it weren't for the fact a voice that had a small tremble in it started speaking, gaining his attention.*
Inanna - Regi?
Regi - Yeah, me little sheila. It's me.
Inanna - How long have I been out?
*Even Inanna knew she was not gonna be better so soon but least she was conscious. That was a start.*
Regi - Nearly, 24 hour. The poison is far from your system though.
Inanna - I noted. Not pleasant.
*The Aussie chuckled a bit. Even in pain...Inanna was still sarcastic.*
Regi - Ya need more rest but first I think we should try to get something into ya, so you don't dehydrate on us.
Inanna - Any suggestions?
Regi - I have a few. Have them ordered up?
Inanna - Yeah...could you stay here with me.
*The man gave a soft smile. That was their Inanna. Few would ever see her true colors. Regi was one of the privileged few that ever did. On screen and in the upper world, she was nothing more then an actress taking on whatever roll she needed to. Yet, down here when she was alone with only the ones she really trusted, did they see her more sensitive side.*
Regi - Wasn't planning on leavin'. 'sides, Colleen, is having me take the rest of the day off.
*That got the female to look at him quizzically. The blonde only did that when something important had come up...that could be anything for the Leading Members of the Noe.*
Inanna - Care to elaborate?
Regi - Will do, soon as I get everything ordered.
*With that the man stood up and walked over to Inanna's terminal. From there he contacted the kitchen/bar and had the cook whip up a good few bits for both him and the leader. Of course he only let on that Inanna might be waking up and he wanted something ready for if she did but he was going over some paper work and needed to get it from Nebula, whom was also hungry. No one questioned it, they were used to this when it came to Regi and Inanna. If it weren't for the fact everyone knew they were not interested in one another, they would think them to be a couple. That was so far from the truth it wasn't funny.*

"Naiiko," from what Fatal heard others call her. Fatal found her ninja role rather interesting. He knew prominent, powerful ninja. They often fought too deceptively for his style. Given all their tricks, they were challenging to defeat. Today, however, was not about confrontation. Fatal wanted cooperation.

"I intended for teamwork application. We can combat against one another, if you wish. I rather practice different elements, to be truthful.
"I need to collect my gear. I will convene with you in the Training Hall."

Letting her decide how they trained would be the way forward. Fatal waited a few seconds for Naiiko to make up her mind. Whatever she decided, Fatal would oblige. He went ahead to his room to collect his swords and hat (given he did not have them already). Afterwards, he would make his way to the Training Hall.

The layout of the Training Hall, for being of simplistic design, got its job done. Fatal had not gotten off his training routine because of it.
For his first days adjusting here, he met an enigmatic gunner, Analiese. She met her match at Fatal after a few rounds with him. Recognizing her weakness, Analiese's drive to improve grew on Fatal. That was the same woman who had been with Fatal before the archaeological site mission. She was adequate as a partner, despite her occasional absentmindedness.

Finding an empty room with an excess of sturdy-looking dummies, Fatal went inside. Knowing Naiiko would be here soon, if she wasn't already, Fatal began stretching his sword arm. An hour was hardly a real practice. Working up a partial sweat was all he wanted. This day had nothing left to offer. It might be best to lounge away whatever remained so tomorrow arrived already. Times like these, it hurt to not have drinking buddies. It made lax days so much more boring.

With the meeting over, Sami stood. She wanted to follow James, but knew now wasn't the best time. For either one of them at the moment. If she didn't get her thoughts straight, she would start babbling uncontrolably. It was then she heard Fatal ask about training, but Naiiko vulonteered first so now back to the drawing board to get her mind clear. The young assassin looked back towards Regi before leaving the meeting room, returning to bar. With a sigh, Sami sat down and ordered a hot cocoa and a coffee.
While waiting for the drinks being prepared, her mind sorted through the infomation.... Or tried to. Just more questions arose.
Why didn't he tell me sooner? Or anyone else tell me?

Once the drinks were finished, Sami thanked Sam and carried them back to the meeting room. Upon entering, she was expecting to see Regi, but found Colleen instead.
"Oh.. Hey, miss Colleen. I brought coffee."
