Aiko wandered over after Luke to Parmida. He giggled and tried to climb up into her lap on his own, pulling on her robe in his efforts. If the other boy was up, he wanted to be up too!

Parmida let out a small squeak of surprise as another toddler started pulling on her robes to climb up onto her lap. She quickly yet gently balanced the one toddler onto one leg the quickly scooped up the other to sit on her other leg. She hoped the third didn't want up too. She wouldn't know where to place her!

The earthworm withdrew down under the protections of the robes. This was too much!

((Gabby's a child, not a toddler... >.> ))

Luke nodded when Parmida asked if that was good enough. And now the other one that looked like his age was up there too! This was a lot of fun! He giggled and watched the two of them. Were they going to play or something now?

Gabby put her hands over her ears. The giggling was distracting her and she had to bite her tounge to keep from yelling at the group. She knew she'd get in trouble if she did that though. There was an adult and two toddlers who didn't know any better.

((>> Ummm... Third kiddling? ^^; Heh.))

Parmida shifted uncomfortably, trying hard not to displace either toddler as a blush crept up her face. It was hard to mope about when you had a giggling toddler or two on your lap. That, and the child seemed to be trying to study, and the giggling could not be helping. She looked back at the expectant faces. What game to play with them when her hands were busy trying to keep them off the floor?! She gently shushed them, then whispered, "Would you two like to take turns pointing things out in the room?" It was the best she could think of for a spur of the moment.

((Edit: *scootches the post down one*))

Aiko giggled happily as he was scooped up and placed into Parmida's lap. Yay, he was up! The boy clapped his hands together gleefully for a moment, before pausing. Now what? Confused, Aiko looked over at Luke to see if the other toddler had any ideas.

Luke scrunched up his face in concentration. Pointing out things in the room? He thought he knew what that meant. Using his right arm, he pointed at Gabby in the chair.

"Do?" he asked. Which, if you understood his level of toddler-speak, meant "What is she doing?"

And, of course, Aiko pointed in the complete opposite direction, pointing at some random object over that way. But he was looking at whatever Luke was pointing at. Which was the girl with the boring looking book.

"Ah..." Was all Parmida could say for a moment as she mentally deciphered what the toddler meant while looking where he pointed. "Oh, she's doing her homework. Or, at least, it looks like she is doing her homework." She frowned for a moment as she muttered under her breath, "Maybe." She perked up again and blinked, then followed the point of the other toddler and raised an eyebrow before looking at the toddler. "And do you know what you are pointing at?"

So boring book girl was doing 'homework'. Whatever that was. Okay.

Aiko looked up at Parmida as she directed a question at him, leaning his head backwards to gaze pretty much up her nose. "Eh." He declared, jabbing a finger in the direction again.

Homework? He didn't know what that was. Oh well. It didn't sound like much fun. He followed the direction of Aiko's arm, and tried to figure out what he was looking at. Even if it wasn't what the other toddler was pointing at, Luke liked the brightly colored painting on that wall.

Parmida looked where Aiko was pointing once more, still uncertain what exactly he was pointing at. Well, there was one way to find out... "Do you want to go over there and look at it closer?" She couldn't remember anyone saying she was good with kids, but she sure didn't feel like she was at the moment!

Getting down? Nah, that wasn't any fun. Aiko dropped the pointing arm for a bit, then reached up with it to poke Parmida's nose. He giggled as her nose squished in a bit from the somewhat gentle poking.

Luke, let out a laugh that sounded more like a squeak and he popped his thumb in his mouth. The big person looked funny when the other little person did that! maybe he'd do something else funny?

Parmida gave a small squeak of surprise and alarm when Aiko poked her nose, jerking her head back a bit in a delayed reaction as her eyes went wide. Where was one of those teens when you needed them as a distraction?! "Hey now..." She laughed weakly to try and show the toddlers she wasn't angry, and attempted a smile, ending up with her lips pressed tight together, but with upward curves on both ends. She made a half-exasperated, half-amused sound and resettled both toddlers on her lap, trying to get some feeling back into her legs. Maybe the toddlers would get so bored they would fall asleep? After all, she still felt like moping about, and having to entertain a toddler or two meant she had to delay on that if she didn't want the toddlers to cry or anything like that. She internally rolled her eyes, heaved a sigh, and made a mental note to stay in her room after this. Outwardly, she did her best to seem cheerful and interactive. Hopefully... Well, it was best not to dwell on that. Toddlers had a tendency to know exactly what you didn't want them to ask and ask it. Best not to jinx herself...
