 "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..."  It's a good thing Markus is here! Reilynn didn't have to worry about how cold this place was but it sure gave her the creeps. It was dark and there was no telling what was in here. But upon Kasie's reaction, Reilynn started to jump in excitement.
"Kasie! We found it! 6 Glow! This has to be the treasure for sure!" Reilynn cried out, her voice echoing in the creepy basement's basement. "Just hold on, I'll use Flash attack!"
Reilynn pulled out her paint brush. "It's pretty dark in this creepy cave, and so at the entrance, I shall save! Creature with Flash, I choose you! Flash attack is what you'll do!" Reilynn declared. There was a flash of light and there was a circle around them They could see everything... 3 feet away from them. Maybe she shouldn't have picked flash attack. She should have referenced a different game that has a much better illumination turnout. Like the game where you can just use a torch and the whole dungeon lights up.
"Er.... I think we'll just have to go from here. We'll just have to make our way to that 6 glow with our 3 feet of viewing ability." Reilynn suggested as she gingerly started to walk forward.
((Bwahahah. I'm such a nerd. ; w; )) "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

Though, the coldness he felt almost seemed like it came from the inside... like he knew he wasn't supposed to be in this place. He simply nodded when Kasie asked if they were okay, since he really wasn't. This place terrified him more than he would like to admit, yet the two girls seemed perfectly fine. They were either really brave or really stupid. ... Probably really stupid. When he saw that Kasie was looking at something in the distance he strained his eyes as well. Augh, damn his horrible sight. He flickered out his tongue in annoyance, yet he couldn't seem to pick up any temperature at all in this place. That was really strange. And that meant he was practically blind here. All he could see with his eyes was a glowing blur. ... Err, three glowing blurs? And was it... moving? He jumped a bit when Reilynn suddenly started shouting. Could she ever speak in a normal tone. Wait, 6 Glow? What the hell was that supposed to mean? And he saw three things glowing, not six. Or was the glowing the number six? ... Oh. Oh s**t. He watched in horror as the witch performed her odd spell to light up the area, flinching when he heard a deep rumble a long distance away. He looked ahead to see what that was, but he couldn't see anything. He was about to warn Reilynn, but she already started off without him. "R-Reilynn!" He wanted to run and catch up, but she was just a blur to him too, and so was the path in front of him. He walked quickly, trying his best not to stumble, and eventually caught up. "I think we should turn back," He told the two of them as he grabbed Reilynn's hand and tried to pull her away from the glowing blur, afraid that his assumption was right... ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Flash attack?.... Wasn't that some pokemon reference right there? No, no. Kasie was not going to think about how strange it was because she had already seen weird. By weird, she meant two pikachus. Yeap. That's right. Two. Real. Pikachus.
Kasie shrugged that thought off since Reilynn did manage to produce light for them in the end. Though, it seemed to have caused a mini earthquake of some sort. Well, she couldn't feel it, but it seemed rather obvious by the way the path seemed to undulate a little.
"Um, if you guys want, I can always scour ahead? You two can wait back in the elevator shaft while I zip up ahead okay?" Kasie offered, having no issue using herself as bait. Psh, she had no reason to worry. Hello, she was dead here? She already faced the worst. Still, she couldn't help but get a few bad vibes here and there. She brushed the caution away. Eh, she had nothing to worry about except for the fact that her friends could potentially die being trapped here, but then again, the positive side was that they could be ghosts just like here. Hurray!

"You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." Reilynn stopped running when Markus grabbed her and pulled her back to square one, completely unaware of the bad vibes being emitted in the area. "What? What?" Reilynn asked. "We can't turn back when we're already this close. It's treasure, Markus."
Kasie had gone ahead to scout so Reilynn just stood beside her heater as they stood in their little spotlight while there was darkness around them. You know, if she thinks about this rationally, this is a fairly scary setting. She didn't notice it at first since she was with her friends.
Sidle sidle. Sidle sidle. Reilynn creeped closer to Markus since her slow brain was finally starting to comprehend this eerie feeling she was getting. "Hmmm... I get your point. Er... maybe when Kasie gets back, we'll try to find a way back up the elevator." Reilynn suggested.
Sidle sidle. Sidle sidle. "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

He wasn't on a stage or anything, but still. It made him feel... confident? Reilynn didn't seem too happy, but he didn't care. If there really was some horrible demonic monster out there, he was glad they sent the one who couldn't die. He would have to thank Kasie when she gets back. He watched as Reilynn slowly creeped closer and closer to him, assuming that she was just cold or something. He couldn't blame her; he was too. Wait, get... back... up? Oh, right, after the elevator dropped like that, he wasn't sure it would be able to go back up. Wait. Kasie could float and Reilynn had her broom. He would be the only one with no way out. Great. He nodded with a frown and looked up at the light, trying to ignore that terrible thought. At least the cavern... or whatever they were in seemed a bit peaceful now. He wasn't sure why, after it scared him so much before. Maybe it was because they were under the light again? He eventually looked back only to see Reilynn moving even closer. His eyebrows furrowed when he felt his cheeks getting hot, wondering if he accidentally caught his face on fire earlier when he was puffing out flames. But if it did, he would see the brightness from the fire, but the only light was above them and that odd glow that Kasie was checking out. Hm... It took him a while to realize that he was being awkwardly silent. Maybe he should say something? "Uh... Are you cold? Want to... huddle for warmth?" Oh, no, not that! It obviously wasn't a normal thing to ask after Veith denied him so quickly last time. Yeap. While everyone was safe, Kasie went on ahead. Alone. In the dark. Totally. Unafraid. As she ventured further and further, man, that glowing thing was father than she thought it'd be, Kasie noticed that earlier glowing six was accompanied by two other sixes as well. 666? Freaky. Really, really freaky. It was only until she was up closer to inspect the glowing numbers that she found out that they were rather gigantic. Almost as big as her face. They even had a subtle metallic shine to them. Hm...
Was there some other sign here beside--- Wait, what was that? Something was like a warm gust of wind. Almost like a giant breath fanning down upon her. How was she even able to feel this!? "Um.... Guys?" She awkwardly muttered as she tried to back up from whatever was doing that. Of course, as soon as she said that, three pairs of glowing red eyes snapped open. "Awh, snickerdoodles."

"You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." Normally Reilynn would be talking away, but now that she realized that while she was talking something could easily jump up and maul the both of them, she realized how great silence was. After all, her voice was pretty loud--she can't deny it--and her loud voice would just drown out anything that was sneaking up on them.
Suddenly there was a voice near her. Reilynn jumped and a stream of unintelligble words came out of her mouth. "@#$%^*&^%$#@!?"
"OH. What? Markus. It's just you." Reilynn said as she relaxed a little as she started to process what he had tried to tell her. She gave a nod. "Yeah. It's very cold. You don't mind if I just huddle up next to you right?" Well, it saved her from having to sneakily sidle up next to him. She pressed herself against Markus as she tried to peer through the darkness to where Kasie had gone through.
"ARGH. The suspense is killing me. I wonder what Kasie is--" She heard a faint echo of Kasie's voice and Reilynn cut herself off and blinked.
"What is that!?" Reilynn gasped as she saw three red things shining from the distance. "I sure hope those are big red fat jewels because if it's not, uh... I think we'd better get out of here!" And what about Kasie?! Well, she should be fine, but still! Where was she? "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

He gave a small nervous laugh before abruptly stopping, finding the sound of his laughter a bit... unusual. He didn't laugh very often. He felt his face burn even more when she pressed up against him, but he wasn't sure why. His kind did this all the time to keep warm, so why would he be blushi-- Ohgodno. Her fire was better than his and she was amusing, but he was not even going to think of her as a possible mate for even a second! No! Hell no! Nonono! He wanted to shove her away, but he didn't want to be mean... No, he was always mean! What the hell was he thinking!? These girls must have spread their stupidity to him! Yeah, that's it. He didn't even hear her rage about the suspense, nor the faint echo of Kasie's voice while he was inwardly freaking out and gagging at where his thoughts had gone. It wasn't until Reilynn gasped and pointed out the shining red... stuff in the distance did he remember where he was. He couldn't really make out what it was with his horrible vision, even as he squinted and struggled to see. He flickered out his tongue once or twice before recalling he couldn't sense anything down in this pit. "That looks... bad. How do we get out?" He asked her as he looked up at the light shining down from the elevator shaft, wondering if he could manage to climb up there. Well, might as well try. He started on his way up the side of it, grabbing onto any wire or ledge he could, hoping he wouldn't get electrocuted. Awh, that was so kind of Reilynn and Markus to think of ways of abandoning her here. Then again, it was understandable that they would want to scram as soon as possible. It was almost a shame that they'd have to leave so early without exploring, but hey, if they were going to be eaten, then maybe it wouldn't be worth it. All their effort would be wasted though....
At the last minute, Kasie threw common sense out the window and promptly tried snatched one of the glowing sixes. It seemed attached to something, but after a few jerks, it finally snapped free and ended up thoroughly pissing off the owner of those three eyes. She gulped when she heard deep growls that practically shook the area.
That was definitely her cue to run away. She immediately zipped for the elevator light and before she knew it, she felt something chomp down on her leg. Chomp. On. Her. Leg. With pain involved. And she was dead. AND she was invisible. This was so not happening! Colorful and unheard curses fell out of her mouth as she struggled to get her leg out of whatever it was though it was pretty sharp, but it was pretty difficult to do when she was still holding onto that six.
She flung it over at Reilynn and Markus, hoping that one of the two would catch it, before painfully jerking her leg free owowowow and losing a shoe in the process. Whatever! That didn't matter. All that mattered was that they got out because the thing she ticked off was howling in its fury. Diving through the elevator shaft and turning visible once more, Kasie urged the two to pick up the pace. "Go! Hurry! Please! I think I really ticked this thing off, and it seems to be able to eat ghosts, so goooooooo!"

"You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." Reilynn had caught some of what happened in the darkness. It was able to eat Kasie!? That's terrible! But the glowing 6 looked like some pretty darn good treasure. Reilynn grabbed it and then with a poof, her broomstick was mounted and she was flying up the elevator shaft with the six and setting it with Kasie.
"A true treasure hunter would grab either half or more than half of the booty." Reilynn said with a grin. Reilynn knew that when it came to treasure, she would do anything. That's right. In all the video games she played, the story was her side quest. Completing the treasure chart was her main quest.
Reilynn used Fly! Reilynn dove back into the darkness on her broomstick and was aiming for that second six. Reilynn used Extremespeed--on a broomstick! The unknown creature reared its head at Reilynn. Unknown Creature used Gust! Critical Hit!
Reilynn was pretty sure it just sneezed, but it did a number on her and she was slamming against a wall.
Reilynn ran away!
"Never mind! If the boss is that strong, this treasure hunter is definitely not sticking around!" Reilynn shouted as she flew back up the elevator shaft and grabbed the glowing six from the ground. "Right? Is that all of us? We'd better get out of here!"
((Just so you know, this is my way of celebrating finding my Crystal version when I was cleaning my room. emotion_dowant )) "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

Markus stopped and wrapped his arms and legs around a thick chord so he could turn to look at the creature. He could see a black shadowy mass with what he assumed were red eyes, but it was hard to tell from the distance. All he knew was that he wanted to get as far away as possible from it. But then Reilynn just had to be a dumbass. "No, Reilynn!!" He called out to her, but it was too late. She was already zooming off on her broomstick, off to get herself killed. With a long groan, he let go of the chord and dropped down to the floor, landing roughly on his feet. That long drop hurt his ankles a lot, but he couldn't just leave her alone against that savage beast! He ran across the stone path, nearly stumbling over the edge a few times because of his blindness as he watched... Reilynn slam against a wall? At least that's what it looked like. It was hard to tell. Either way, that monster was definitely going to get it no-- Where the hell was she going!? He raged for a moment, only to have his heart stop when he heard a vicious snarl right behind him and felt nasty hot breath wash over him. Oh s**t. RUN. He bolted for the elevator shaft as fast as he could with the beast on his tail. He knew it was a bad idea to try to help her! Augh! He struggled to climb back up the shaft, having a hard time holding on as the monster's claws swatted at him and shook the entire shaft. Don'tlookdowndon'tlookdowndon'tlook... he looked. And those bright red eyes were staring right into his own. Ohgodno. He scrambled up the shaft far behind Reilynn and Kasie, hoping they made it out okay. Damn their ability to fly! He eventually made it to the top, and as soon as he did, he flopped down on the ground, gasping for air. Such... a... long... climb. He felt like he climbed up Mt. Everest at a record speed without breaks. "Aaauuughhhh..." "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." Reilynn wondered why such a creature was down there in the first place. Maybe she could take the situation to someone smart. Someone who knew how to deal with treasure hunting and monsters and fighting. Maybe her battle strategy professor? No. He was a jerk. No way she would tell him about the last two treasure. She'll have to think about it.
Reilynn glanced back at Markus who finally made it back up from the elevator shaft. "You sure took your time, Markus." Reilynn laughed, oblivious to the fact that he had returned to save her sorry cowardly butt. She pulled on his arm in attempt to help him up. "No time to rest now, Markus! We need to get out of here before the employees catch us. And if you still have that caution tape all over you, they'll know we broke the rules and went down there!" Reilynn pointed out.
Tug tug. Tug tug. "If you're hungry we can go to the food court?" Reilynn suggested. "If not, we'll just take our treasure back home!" "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

That was such a long climb, and one slip up would have meant the death of him. Did Reilynn not realize that!? Obviously not. She was too caught up in her treasure. He jumped down and nearly got his a** eaten to save her when he would have rather ditched her to save himself. This would be the last time he did something kind for anyone. "No," He told her as he yanked his arm away from her. "Enjoy your treasure. I'm just going to go home and pretend this never happened," Maybe he was being a bit mean, but he didn't care. He just had a near death experience to get a stupid glowing six for an ungrateful girl. He just needed to rest off his rage... With a totally necessary hiss at Reilynn, he ripped off the caution tape that was still clinging to him and left on his own, being sure to avoid any security guards or other employees. "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." "Yay! You got up--" Reilynn was startled when he yanked her hand away. That sure is a weird way to be tired. Why was he so mad? There was seriously something Reilynn missed.
Reilynn watched helplessly as he stormed away. She's had people mad at her before, but it was rarely this kind of mad. The mad she was used to was a "You idiot, go take it somewhere else dumb butt!" mad and that didn't seem like the mad Markus was. "Kasie! I don't know what just happen." Reilynn huffed as she crossed her arms. "Well, I don't get it, but I bet he's mad at the both of us so we should probably figure out how to make it up to him."
"Since we're all friends and all, right?"
"At any rate, let's get out of her before we get caught."
[Exits with Kasie] "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"
