Panicking slightly, Vivian huddled slightly into the jacket, warm from being worn. "Why did you give this to me? Why did you knock that boy out? What are you going to do to me?" She decided to ignore the wolf boy that was already in the bushes for the time being.

Vero smiled and took the girl's hand. "He was annoying me, and I'm not going to do anything to you but give you a home." Vero spotted her favorite dinner down the block and quickened her pace, dragging Vivian with her.

Eyes widening slightly in alarm at the sudden increase in speed and, more so, the hand touching her's, Vivian looked ahead, she a place that was labeled as a "Dinner" ahead. She had heard about these places before. They were another place that gave food away at will!

Vero smiled at the waitress and went to go sit in a both in the corner. She directed Vivian to sit across from her as she looked at one of the menus, already knowing what she wanted.

Vivian copied what the girl she was starting to think as her captor was doing, pretending to read the menu, the names meaning nothing to her as the smells overwhelmed her sense. "... What's this for, anyway?"

"Chose what you want to eat off of here." Vero smiled again. "Like what kind of food do you prefer? Meat? Vegies? Fruits? Pasta?"

Uncertain of the smile, Vivian responded, "usually, we just eat apples. That's all we can usually find that's okay for us to eat. Do they have them here?"

"What's a waitress...? And we as in the other people I don't want to leave," Vivian spoke, loudly and harshly saying the last comment about her friends. They were the ones who had originally taught her how to get by on the streets, and it was them who had given her the crust of a piece of bread when she was sick as a kid. The younger girl would protect them with everything she had, and as such, she could not tell this newcomer anything about them.

Vero nodded. "A waitress is the person you tell what you want. Here ours comes now." She greeted the woman and told her that she wanted a veggie burger, two cherry colas and anything with apples, which was a slice of apple pie. The waitress smiled at both of them and went away. "We should get you some new clothing after this..."

"What's wrong with my clothes? They work fine," Vivian said, insulted by the girl's word choice. "And I already told you! I can't pay you back for any of this!"

"And I told you I just wanted companionship in return." Vero took one of the sodas that the waitress put down and sucked ont he straw before continuing. "They work fine, but they're dirty and probably the only ones you have, right? Something a little more punk possibly for you..."

Sniffing the other glass sitting at the table and deciding it was going to be okay to drink-- the other girl was guzzling it down, wasn't she?-- she took a small sip. "I... still don't know what you mean by companionship... And so what if these are my only clothes?! They get washed once a week! It's completely a waste to have more! I don't even know what 'punk' means!" Vivian spouted, throwing a strand of her long hair over her shoulder and out of her way.

"Only once a week?" Vero cringed. "I think I would die if I couldn't wear new clothing everysingle day. And by companionship I mean someone to talk to and be there for and be there for me. A friend."

"Once a week is all that's needed, though! I only go down to the lake once a week. Sometimes twice, if I get extremely dirty for one reason or another. And... Friends? With someone I just met? That seems odd... Do all of you well-off people make friends that fast?" Vivian asked, slightly in shock. They made friends, just like that? It takes a huge deed on both sides usually for a friendship to form where she's from.
