In a small run down house off towards the outskirts of the town is a cloaked figure sitting next to a fire place in a wooden rocking chair. The cloak that he wore was torn in many places and dirty from long travels. The hood of the cloak shadowed his face though one could pick up by the heavy scent of sickness in the room. Something was awfully wrong with this man. Under his cloak his body thin and frail from infection that had plagued his body. Flesh has roted off over time leaving an exposed wound that should have killed him long ago. With every breath that he took, his whole body screamed in pain. He had been in pain for so long now and he saw no end to it. He longed for death more than anything now but the words of those who had done this to him echoed in his mind. Even then would he get peace? He clenched his fest and slammed it on the arm of his chair angrily. "Bastards" he whispered in a horse voice that sounded similar to one of an old man's. Many would be surprised to know that he was suppose to be young and in his prim.

Intense pain ran through his body and he cried out once again. hugged himself for several minutes to regain his composure. The pain was difficult to handle but he was able took keep calm at some point. He relaxed in his chair and stared back into the fire. The man hopes that his bounty would be enough to attract someone to kill the ones who had done this too him. He wanted to be free from this curse. So the man waits... His chair rocked back and forth letting out a loud creaking sound that echoed in the empty darkness that the light from the fire did not touch.

Cha'Risa listened to him as he stated he did not expect her to be so 'good' with auras. Her lips did not move, nor did her head turn, but she felt almost amused by this. It was almost stupid of him to underestimate a stranger. It was a sort of surprise that he should thank his luck he did not receive within combat.. He continued to speak about the race he belonged to. Davions. She knew not what it was, but the spirits that had their influence over her seemed to draw her to it. As if, there was something she should know, about them.

She continued to listen, whilst the spirits urged her to react. The man was implying that the Davions she'd seen were different to him-- in age, as well as in magic qualities. She allowed her mind to ponder the meaning of this, or how one changed. Perhaps it could be something akin to her. She was a Dhampir, but she was.. 'altered', changed like he felt they had by another form of aura, another form of magic that corroded her being. He was also implying such Davions could control their aura output with such ease, that the spirits had not picked it up for her. Another implication: They wanted to be found.

she would not let her mind wander, focusing on her task at hand. Her right hand, however, flexed slightly, as if she was still accustomed to it being the hand of Byaelbog. She did not turn her head, as her pace never faltered after pausing for the towering armored man. Yet the spirits of nature sought information from her, that would benefit them all, herself included. "Tell me. What are the Davions, Alister?"

She'd not another man, whimsical in nature, walking by, with a flowing cloak adorned with crosses. Her eyes, veiled by a thick skull, narrowed slightly, but she did not demonstrate her reaction to them at all. This man, he seemed too oblivious to them anyway. She walked through the outskirts, and finally stopped at a house. She drew the ripped paper from the puch upon her leg again, and looked at it for a moment. "We are here."

She stepped forward, nearing the door. The place was small, and it was rundown. It was still curious that a man whom could offer such an amount for a single man, lived in such a place. As she drew near, her ears picked up creaking, wooden creaking. It was reminiscent that of a chair, rocking back and forth. It seemed the place was devoid of activity, for not only could she hear just the rocking.. it echoed through the interior.

After knocking, she drew her gloved hand away, and stepped back, as if to allow the man to open the door without intimidation.

Alister Was getting used to this girl now, well at least her non talkative way. He did not expect any kind of reaction from her, nor for her to speak any more about what he was saying. He was just acting if he was talking to himself for the time being, hoping she was just pretending to ignore. But he doubted it. He continued to walk with her, he couldn't really start a conversation with the girl. That's when his mind went back to the armored guy. He didn't see any aura what so ever out of him, which every living being he's seen at least has some sort of aura, even if they can't see it themselves. This man had none, which led him to believe, Something was hiding it. Like the man that ran into Him so rudely, both of them seemed to be hiding they're aura, although the unarmored man wasn't hiding his aura, he was simply manipulating it so he was not noticed, perfect stealth to say. The armored man though, he was completely hidden, or blocked. In the midst of his thinking Cha'risa spoke. His head snapped to her, in a slight surprise. She spoke, but this time actually asking him a question. "What are Davion's. Your actually interested in something?" he said with a small laugh. " Well, I'd be glad to enlighten you, seeing I am one...Well my bloodline as pure as the first ones.... Anyway, you know there are many different races in this world. Two being Demon and human. Well, Among the Demons there are stronger ones, which are the race Devils. Now, Davions were..and are the most powerful Devil mix bread with humans...so basically a Devil and a human had a child." he said looking forward as they walked. They were heading for the outskirts of town. " The name Davion comes from the first family actually. The Da'vion family. " He said with a Very small pause between the Da and vion. The pronunciation was slightly altered as well. " But other then that its not really known. The first of our race is not very known, it was a very long time ago and our past as mostly been forgotten. There are stories and rumors but no hard facts...no evidence of the origin race." He said with a small sigh. He then stopped at her next words. They were here. He just stood by waiting for the door to be answered after she knocked.

Hibiki Yasuno

The entertainer continued on his way home, peacefully walking down the street, nodding pleasantly to anyone who made eye contact, as it was nice to acknowledge people. Hibiki kept on walking until something caught his attention. It was a poster of sorts hung up on a wall. He walked over to it, and gave it a quick read. The first thing he noticed was that it spoke of a bounty. Great, people were being hunt down. Wasn't their a better way to solve things rather than hunting people down? Hibiki sighed with frutration. He was sick of the violent ways of people. Why couldn't everyone be peaceful. Moving on, Hibiki read the poster a bit more. What really caught his attention was that the bounty was for something called a crusnik. What was a crusnik? Hibiki was confused. He clearly wasn't keeping up with the latest news, rumours and folklore. Hibiki sighed again. What was he to do? Everything was going downhill. "Get a grip, Hibiki." He told himself. "Just play your concert, and go on with life." He nodded, and with that, he went on his way.

Hibiki rummaged through his cloak as he walked back home. Eventually, he grabbed hold of his small lyre, and began playing it. He plinked a merry little tune as he went on his way. "Who needs mistletoe when I can kiss you right now?" He sang cheerfully as he walked. He sang an entire song about how love and affection was like fire, and that warming the ice inside peoples souls was something very important. He had nothing better to do, so why not inspire people to be happier. He sang quite loudly, though.

And you miss him in every way
Go and make your father proud

The knock on the hold wooden door that separating him from the outside world. With great effort he rose from the his seat. Pain ran through her entire making him stumble and fall to the ground. He coughed loudly until he tasted blood. He spit out globs of it on his floor and at the deep crimson. More anger built up with in him and his body started to tremble with it. "Bastards.." he whispered. He held himself under his cloak for several minutes before he was able to pull himself together and stand up. He grabbed a roughly crafted wooden can that was leaning against his chair and stiffly started to walk towards the door. Once at the door His gloved hand reached out and turned the door knob then slowly opened the door. Every movement he took to do this small task, caused extreme pain through out his limbs. Hate burned in his eyes under the shadow of the hood of his cloak.

He gazed at the two individuals waiting for him the other side. He took a few moments to scan over the two very odd people in front of him. The man quickly noted their weapons and frowned, though it was not visible to them. Perhaps they saw the bounty he had put out but who knows what kind of people they were. They could be thieves and he didn't have the strength or will to fight anyone. "What do you want" he quickly said in his very hoarse voice. He leaned heavily on the cane in his hand. Without it he wouldn't be able to move even such a small distance from his chair. "

Cha'Risa ignored his sarcastic remark as she'd asked what a Davion was. It was a race she'd not heard of, and Byaelbog was not one of words, even telepathically. All she felt from him within her mind was guidance, an urge from him to turn on a direction or to ask a question.. Like this instant. Hse had walked, listening to his explanation. They were a powerful halfing of human and Devil, is what he was telling her. Interesting.

As she stepped and knocked upon the door, he'd remained behind her, a distance from the door. After she'd knocked, she stepped back, near him, a foot or two between them, however. Her ears could pick up the sounds of coughing within the building, as the wooden creaks had ceased. There was a sound of something hitting the floor, wooden in sound, and it advanced upon the door. It was a few moments until the door creaked open, voicing the house's dillapitated state. Out stood a cloaked figure his face shadowed away under the fabric. Within a gloved hand was a cane, which his posture told her he relied heavily upon. It also explained the clicking wooden sound that had advanced upon the door. She, herself, hid her face in a similar manner, shadowed beeneath a large elk's skull atop her wolfen fur hood. He asked a simple question, and she would answer. Unlike the many times Allister, this time, speaking a reply was neccesary.

"We come to you, after your bounty placed upon the Crusnik." The Dhampir stopped, to hold out what tattered remains she had of the pamphlet she'd retrieved from the mercenary's inn. She offered it to him gently, so the motion wouldn't alarm the man.

Alister

Alister watched as she took a step back. Something hit his mind, something slightly important, depending on who you tell. It had been about a paticular set of davion's that stood out most, only in rumors. " Well there is something else, its said that.." And just as he was going to tell her that were a few he's heard of with pronominal elemental powers. But before he could, here knocking seemed to be continuing. Thats when he realized it was coming from inside the building. Along with excessive coughing.

Alister looked over to Cha'risa then back at the door just as it creaked open. The horse voice, sounding dead...or dying asking what they wanted. It seemed like an elder man, so maybe he thought we were here to steal something. And just as he was about to say Something, Cha'risa explained. " Yes, we are interested in this creature you speak of. Honestly, I don't know exactly what it's, nor do I really take truth into it." He said shrugging a bit. " I just want to know one thing...if you have the money to dish out on this bounty, why the hell are you in a dump like this. " He said looking around, it seemed slightly broke down, just as the man that stood infront of him was.

The man took a few more moments to examen the two in front of him before he shifted his gaze to the paper the odd woman held out to him. "So you are.." he mumbled as he took it from him. He glanced over at the man for a moment as he spoke then turned away from them and limped towards his chair with the help of his wooden cane. He left the door open for them, inviting them in to his run down home.

"Why you ask?...I'm much like this house here but age did not do this to me." He said as he sat back down in his chair. The simple movements made his whole body ache leaving him completely drained. He couldn't remember the last time he actually slept. The extreme pain has prevented him from doing so for so long. "Would it shook you, boy, if I told you that I'm only a few years older than you?" he asked as he gazed into the flames in his fireplace. "The man that I wish for you to kill has done this to me...I cannot move or breath without pain..I should had died long ago but this curse that had been laid upon me has prevented me to do so." he took a breath and closed his eyes. "If you bring me back the head of the monster who had done this to me, then I will reward you greatly."

Cha'Risa had noted there was another thing Allister had to say before the man opened the door. That wasn't unusual from what she had gleaned from his person so far, but this seemed different. Like it was important information, and the words he spoke hinted that it was information concerning the Davions. She knew not why she was so curious in these beings; it was the spirits who urged her to ask and to learn. She was merely a puppet for them and for her Lord at times, and she felt no issue toward this.

After she spoke to the man that emerged from the door, she stopped to listen to his voice. It was hoarse and dead, something similar to her own, as well as her father's. It was not alarming nor foreign, yet it did cause her to wonder. He did not carry the scent of undeath, but he did have the faintest scent that of blood. With his harsh, raking coughs, it was probably where the blood had originated.. The scent, the idea of that blood, caused her to almost lurch forward with her sudden desire. Weakly, the Dhampir licked her lips, telling herself that she would feed eventually.. Not now.

Alllister spoke from beside her, and her head did not turn to look at him, merely her eyes moved to look. His blunt words actually surprised the Dhampir. It seemed that this man spoke whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. And if that mouth of his got in her way, she'd have to.. merely.. cut his tongue out. He shrugged casually after he'd spoken, before adding another rude note, and she did not show reaction. She merely stood, he face hidden under the large white skull, the antlers towering over her head a tad.

The man before them spoke, and it did not seem as if the words of Allister had irked him. He mumbled as he peered upon them, and she did not react to this. He turned, and limped into the home, the door open. She stood for a moment, allowing him time to get in, before she stepped forward with a muddied, fur-accented combat boot, and quickly advancced, without so much as another glace to Allister. She had business to attend to, regardless of his presence.

He sat down in a single chair, the only thing within the room beside the fire place that burned brightly, the wood crackling and snapping as the orange-red flames lapped hungrily at the logs. She look at their color, reminded that her eyes were once a similar hue.. But she did not miss this, and turned her attention to the cloaked man as he spoke to Allister, addressing his unnecessary inquiries.

The figure explained himself further as he sat within the old chair. She stood a distance away, listening, though away from the fire. Warmth was nothing she needed. As he finished, she gave a nod. "If it is his head you desire, it shall be done. Can you lend your insight, however?" She paused, looking above her, at the ceiling. A feeling that he was there was strong.. And she almost reached toward the air to try to touch him, somehow. She looked back, casually, as if there was nothing there. "Tell me what this creature looks like.. Any hints as to where I would locate him. It would be of great assistance in this matter."

Faintly, she could hear it: A gurgled growl, before silence.. He was curious to hear these things himself, to assist his daughter in remembering or locating him with these clues. But there was something he was not telling Cha'Risa..

Aerious Steelgrasp

The skull clad girl's magic was strong. He could see, as she stopped, the dark aura that came off of her. Yet, there was something off about it to him, as if not all of it was her own. AS if she'd been around someone stronger, and their aura had remained with her. It was almost as if he was looking at two entities, not just one. The secondary aura was much more powerful, it was almost worrysome to be around her, and as she side-stepped and continued, he felt, almost, relief.

He looked at the man that followed her. He had another powerful aura himself, something that reminded him of the earth on which he stood. He stopped when the girl did, almost alarmed in his action that she'd done so. He looked up at Aerious, and with a nod of his head, he gave an awkward greeting, before continuing. Something about him, at this moment, told Aerious hwe was disturbed, the way his aura fluxuated or the light in his eyes.

But it was nothing he wanted to impeed upon. These characters did not seem like the type he should ask for directions from, regardless. He advanced, his militaristic boots meeting with the paved path. He continued toward the higher end of the city, though the suit was still hunting for magical energies, and was still picking Cha'Risa and Allister's up from behind him.

He walked a fewpaces, and as Hibiki passed him, his singing could be heard. The man's head turned, his black pnytail waving behind him slightly as he did. He bore a great voice, a gift per se. It seemed that he spoke of a concert he had to attend to, leading the metalbound warrior to believe he could have been some type or performer. With any luck, he'd performed within a tavern or two here, and knew where to point him. The man shifted upon his boots, and headed for Hibiki immediately, though his towering form did not advance in a manner that was intimidating--beyond what his looks already gained him, granted.

"Excuse me, sir. I was wondering if you could.. lend me some directions."

Hibiki Yasuno
Your Melody Plays
---------------------------

As Hibiki's journey home went on, and his song continued, the entertainer suddenly found himself looking ahead at a shadow of a taller man. Hibiki wasn't that tall, and turned around slowly to see a giant man clad in so much armour. Hibiki felt just a little nervous around such a man. Then the man spoke, asking for directions. Maybe Hibiki had no need to feel uncomfortable. He stopped plinking his lyre, and smiled to the man, trying to show that he was friendly, not that someone clad in that much armour really needed to worry if someone of Hibiki's stature was hostile. The entertainer put his lyre back in his cloak so that his hands would be empty, allowing him to gesture directions better than if his hands were full. With that, it was time to answer.

"Directions? Sure thing. It all depends on where you're off to, of course. I've lived here all my life, so I know this place quite well. I probably know it as well as my music, not that you would know how well that is, of course, unless you've heard me play... But I'm rambling." Hibiki turned a little red as it clicked in that he was just going off on a tangent. "Anyway, where are you going? I'm sure I can point you down the right road." He smiled even wider, and his face quickly turned back to it's original color. "And if you want some company to ensure you don't get lost, I can surely do that too. I have nothing better to do, anyways." The man chuckled. He loved getting to know people. Even though Caldwell was mostly a cold place, both literally and metaphorically, Hibiki could always bring about some warmth. That was his skill. He was a master of space and time. He was a musician.

Alister

Alister noticed how the man relied so much on his cane, along with small sounds of pain coming from the man. Then the man began to explain what had happen to him, and why he was in this place. Alister figured the man had ties to the house, having a common binding to the house...that they were both broken down and not ment to be standing. Alister listened to what Cha'risa had to say. By how much she replied, it seemed she was very interested. As far as Alister could gather, Cha'risa only speaks once she needs something or her goals are in sight. " Just a few years older? I'm a Da'vion sir, I'm over five hundred years old... I doubt that." He said to the decrepit man. Alister watched As Cha'risa stepped into the broken down house." So, this crusnik did this to you? How does someone do such a thing though? Make it impossible to die....even by your own hands..." he asked as he followed Cha'risa into the door looking around the room nonchalantly.

Alister came up from behind Cha'risa and stood next to her. He listened to her and what she asked for. " Yes, Can you tell us what it looks like or have anything that may have been his? Maybe it's aura will still radiate from it... Also can you tell us what exactly a Crusnik is? " He asked the man in the cloak. He had another question, but decided to keep his mouth shut. He wondered why exactly would such a creature do this to a man, instead of just killing him. So for now he would keep his mouth shut.

The man's singing had ceased when he'd turned around and looked up to Aerious' form. For a few passing moments, the performer seemed to be uncomfortable in his shadow, or perhaps it was his appearance. He suddenly smiled up to him, and from behind the large helm that hid his eyes in darkness, he blinked with an odd confusion, merely waiting for his directions.

The man spoke, finding no issue speaking anymore. He seemed friendly, but then again, he was a street performer. And apparently, he had been within Caldwell his entire life. He spoke of his music, and the Aerious had to resist shaking his head. Unless the singing a minute prior to this was his playing, no he had not. His face had turned red uponr ealizing his rambling.

He spoke before Aerious could, changing the subject back to the directions. Aerious merely continued to stand, the wind blowing the flowing cloth upon his person gently, as well as his black ponytail, the last shred of visible humanity Aerious had left.

"I came to ask you for directions to any tavern that would be suitable for rest. My path has led me here from another land, so I do not claim the same familiarity of these surroundings as you do." the man's voice reverberated through the helm, giving his deep, calm voice an echo behind it.

The man spoke of leading him there. "I would not mind you accompanying me, if you're sure it does not bother you and your plans."

The man's response cause Hibiki to chuckle. "There's plenty of taverns around here, you know. Now, finding one that's suitable all depends on what you would consider suitable... And probably how much money you have to spend." The entertainer's smile remained just as strong. As the breeze went by, Hibiki watched the snow blow along the ground, but that's not the only thing he saw the wind take.He saw hair whipping around in the wind. Oh good. He is a living being, and not some moving suit of armour. I was starting to wonder about him. Suddenly, curiosity overtook him. Hibiki took a step closer, and he extended a hand to tap on the armour. He tapped on it twice. Then he realized how rude that was. He jumped back. "Sorry. I couldn't resist." He frowned as his actions dawned on him. "That wasn't really polite, was it?"

There was a short pause involving Hibiki looking at the ground before he realize that he was still supposed to be giving directions. He put on a smile. "Come on. You can specify what kind of tavern you're looking for while we walk. Nothing good is around here." With that, he gestured to the man to follow, and started to walk. He pulled out his lyre again, and began to quietly plink a tune on it. He hummed quitely as he walked slowly, waiting for the armoured man to follow, and to respond.

The cloaked man stared at the male bounty hunter for a few moments and shook his head. "Well I'm rather younger than you then." he mumbled. The man gripped the arms of his rocking as he moved back and forth. He took a few moments to think about the Phantom Blaze and his hands started to tremble from anger and the pain that constantly eats away at his body

He glanced over at the odd woman and let out and uneven sigh. "A Crusnik....I've heard of little stories about them. Nasty vile creatures. They are nothing but monsters that feed on others to live. A parasite...but they hold incredible abilities..." The man paused as a coughing fit over came him. He covered his mouth with his gloved hand. He took a couple breaths before speaking once again. "Have you heard about the rumors from the east in the desert. There had been sightings of a creature...and a killing of a scholar in Aden...he was brutally murdered by a this creature....this creature...is a horrible monster. He has the ability to move faster than one could blink an eye. He can control a black flame that can burn through just about anything...." The man shuddered at the thought of the thought of Dadrik's powers. "He is powerful...Not a force that can lightly. After all he isn't giving the Name 'Phantom Blaze' for nothing.."
