Luke smiled some, chuckling some. "Indeed. I don't want to bring about evil. But isn't it more dangerous for magic of evil to come into the world? Magic is so much more powerful and... and limitless." he said softly, sighing.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing.  "Magic is, indeed, powerful and can be used for evil. But it would be much easier to learn the way of the sword and go about running swords through people than it would be to learn about magic and have to go off on your own to learn the darker arts. All magic requires some sacrifice; if you are to learn, you lose time with others. If you are to heal, you lose your own energy and perhaps lifespan. These are all even exchanges. With the dark arts, you want somebody to die, you must either offer up compensation or die yourself. Most dark magicians don't realize this and try to do something drastic, evil, and large. They kill themselves in the process because dark magic needs a sacrifice." As they spoke, Jethrow unconsciously looked up at the window of his study. It was quite possible that Anya had used the opportunity to sneak around and read what was in there, a possibility he'd prepared for. There were few students he'd had that he'd ever felt were capable of using dark magic to its fullest potential. Two of them were dead now, and one of them had disappeared seemingly off the face of the earth. All three of them had been wanted criminals for a thousand years.

Luke just sighed as he sat on a bench and ran his fingers through his hair. " What am I to do, Jethrow? I can't get any students, I can't take care of my sister, and who knows what else has failed." he said, sulking.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow leaned against his staff, looking at Luke with one of his rare, truly serious looks. "You are not a failure, Luke St. Binah. Not everything in this world is in your control; certainly not what students wish to come here, nor what your sister's fox demon is prone to do when it acts up. If you think in such a negative tone, you won't be able to stand up much longer on your two feet," he said, beginning in a scolding tone and ending in a softer one. It was true that in order for a teacher to be considered a success, they needed students first, and it would be frustrating if Jethrow found himself unable to care for someone close to him. However, it is not the end of the world yet. Time heals most wounds.

Luke looked up at the wizard. He couldn't help but feel useless. He sighed deeply, looking at his own feet. They felt weak. He wondered how he was standing just as straight and tall as he used to, but it was starting to get to him. He was feeling the strain and it was starting to sap his strength.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow frowned, disconcerted by Luke's disheartened attitude. "Do not give up hope just yet. Unexpected things tend to happen," he said with a firm look. Looking up at the sky, as if he expected something to actually fall down and try to destroy them, he tapped his staff against the wall. A mural-like painting began to spread across it, changing the scenery opposite it to a wasteland. At the center of the whole thing were three shadowy figures, but one thing was clear; the wings on the back of the center figure. "Unexpected things are disturbing these days." [OOC:]So...much...block!

Luke looked to the mural curiously. "What is this Jethrow?" he asked. He couldn't remember ever seeing this before. He looked to the wizard for an explanation.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow sighed and put his hand against the brick wall the mural covered, his eyes closed in a weary way. "It is a vision I've had repeatedly in dreams. I have yet to completely conclude the meaning. But obviously, destruction looms as a black cloud over this castle. This person," Jethrow said, putting his finger on the wing of the center figure. He sighed, almost painfully. The vision he'd had had shown him the ghree in color, detail, and clarity. "I am almost certain that this is Anya."

Luke looked between the wizard and the mural. "A-Anya? are you positive?" he asked worriedly. But Anya was such a gentle soul...

The winged one was indeed Anya, a cold sneer coiling over her face that was quite uncharacteristic for the fairy. The other two were unrecognizable people, at least they were to Jethrow. He had a suspicion, though, that they were demons. It would make sense if the destruction were caused by the breaking of the seal on Anya. "A fairy could never cause this kind of damage. Unfortunately for us, Anya is not entirely a fairy." Sighing, he sat down on the bench nearby and stared at the grass. "I'm still trying to figure out how to prevent this."

Luke grew worried. "I will help you find a way. Anya shouldn't suffer like that." he said solemnly. He was concerned about his little fairy friend and her pet.

"As far as I know, I am the only person in this castle without a bit of demon in them. It's quite apparent that this destruction will be caused by demons, and it's already established that Anya will be at the heart of the damage. After Lunora's little episode... I'm beginning to have my doubts," the wizard finished on a wary tone, looking up at Luke. It was all the truth; he was concerned by the surrounding of demons, two of which had exhibited control issues. It would certainly be just my luck if Luke began to unwind, as well. "Luckily, your sister is under control again. If you can keep her that way, perhaps we can stop Anya as well."

Luke nodded some. He was glad Lunora was back under control and he hoped that they could do the same for Anya. "We should start now. Be prepared. And do not worry for me. I have complete control of my demon."

"As for Anya... The same seal I used on Lunora will not work again. Anya's fairy blood would reject the magic used heavily enough to kill her, which is not a course of action we want to take. We have time, though. But please, if there's anything unusual happening with Anya, do tell me. Anything could be important," he said, with a bit of a stifled yawn. "For now, though, I think I'll go see how that potion of hers is."

Luke nodded some. "I will check on Lunora. She should be awake by now." he said, heading inside and up the stairs to his ailing sister.
