Jake watched her out of the corner of his eye, not sure if he should say something or not.

Alex looked at the flower,then took her legs and hugged her knees,putting them under chin.

Jake looked at her fully, and tilted his head. "Is...everything ok...?"

"Yes" She lied.She closed her eyes halfway looking at the flower.

Jake's eyes narrowed. He could tell when someone was lying, a habit he had picked up a long time ago. "I don't like it when someone lies...especially to me...What's going on..."

"Nothing I have to tell you." She said still looking at the flower.She didn't care if she lied or not.

Jake sighed, then fell back into the grass. "As you wish..." he said staring up at the sky.

Alex stayed as she was.She was in a tight train of thought.She then dropped the flower and put her head down on her knees.

Jake watched her, but he didn't say anything. He didn't know what he should say.

Alex soon sniffed,but tried to hide it the best she could.

Jake quickly sat up and gently put his hand on her shoulder. It was at that moment he realized he really did care. "H...Hey...c'mon...what's wrong...? Please tell me..."

Alex put her face down. "Nothing....Nothings wrong." She tried to assure him.Her voice cracked.

Jake sighed, then sat up on his knees. "I...I'm not going to force you...I really wish you'd tell me...but...I'll be here beside you...I promise..." he said softly.

Soon the flowers around her started to die.She kepted her face down,whipping her eyes on her sleeve.She stayed quiet.

Jake sighed. What propelled him to do what he did next, even the inner most sanctums of his conciousness didn't know. He hugged her.
